  • In this paper, we obtain the estimator of system reliability for the bivariate Pareto model with bivariate type 1 censored data. We obtain the estimators and approximated confidence intervals of the reliability for the parallel system based on likelihood function and the relative frequency, respectively. Also we present a numerical example by giving a data set which is generated by computer.

  • We consider estimation of the right-tail probability in a half-triangle distribution, and also consider inference on reliability, and derive the k-th moment of ratio of two independent half-triangle distributions with different supports. As we define a skew-symmetric random variable from a symmetric triangle distribution about origin, we derive its k-th moment.

  • This paper is concerned with the method of estimating lifetime distribution for field data in warranty period and for a situation where some additional field data can be gathered after the warranty period. Implementing the proposed methods in this paper will result in obtaining the more precise product life time estimation and product improvement.

  • Accelerated life tests are widely used to evaluate the product reliability within a resonable amount of time and cost. This article provides literature review about accelerated life test plans between 2006~2015. The literature on planning accelerated life tests are reviewed with respect to the test scenario, assumed accelerated model and estimation method and optimization criteria. Finally, recommendations for the future research are presented.

  • In this paper, we propose the Bayes estimators of the reliability for a system consisting of the left-truncated exponential components under the truncated normal distribution as a conjugate prior distribution and squared - error loss function on the series, parallel and k-out-of-m : G system. And we compare the proposed Bayes estimators of the system reliability each other in terms of MSE performances and stabilities by the Monte Carlo simulation.

  • We treat the problem of estimating reliability R(t) = P[Y(t) < X(t)] in the time dependent strength-stress model in which a unit of strength X(t) is subjected to environmental stress Y(t) at time t. In this paper two nonparametric approaches to estimate of R(t) are analyzed and compared with parametric method by simulation.

  • To estimate the reliability of the standard electric multiple unit developed by Korea Railroad Research Institute, the vehicle system composed of 4 cars is divided into 14 subsystems. The 14 subsystems are connected in series. For each subsystem except for car body and bogie, failure rate is evaluated by an optimal failure model used in reliability engineering. For car body and bogie probabilistic structural integrity analysis is carried out. The distribution of failure rate of each part and system is assumed to be exponential. The estimated MTBF of the vehicle satisfies the planned MTBF.

  • The problem of estimating the reliability using the Bayesian approach and the prior information about tile reliability of a lognormal distribution is considered. Some Bayes estimators are proposed and studied under the squared error loss and tile Harris loss. Also Monte Carlo simulations are carried out to examine the performances of the proposed estimators and results are provided in the tables.

  • We consider the mean value function for NHPP software reliability model and time series regression model in software failure data. We estimate parameters for the proposed models from two data sets. The values of SSE and MSE is presented from two data sets. We compare the predicted number of faults with the actual two data sets using the mean value function and regression curve.

  • NHPP software reliability models for failure analysis can have, in the literature, exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. In this paper, infinite failures NHPP models that repairing software failure point in time reflects the situation, was presented for comparing property. Commonly used in the field of software reliability based on Flexible Weibull extension distribution software reliability of infinite failures was presented for comparison problem. The result is that a relatively small shaping parameter was effectively. The parameters estimation using maximum likelihood estimation was conducted and model selection was performed using the mean square error and the coefficient of determination.. In this research, software developers to identify software failure property follows shape parameter, some extent be able to help is considered.
