Structural Dynamic System Reconstruction for Modal Parameter Estimation

  • We as modal parameter estimation technique by developing a residual based system reconstruction and using the system matrix coordinate transformation. The modal parameters can be estimated from and residues of the system transfer functions expressed in modal coordinate basis, derived from the state space system matrices. However, for modal parameter estimation of multivariable and order structural systems over broad frequency bands, this non-iterative algorithm gives high accuracy in the natural fre- and damping ratios. From vibration tests on cross-ply and angle-ply composite laminates, the natural frequencies and damping ratios on be estimated using tile coordinates of the structural system reconstructed fro the experimental frequency response. These results are compared with those of finite element analysis and single-degree-of-freedom curve-fitting.

  • In this paper, an adaptively tuned dynamic absorber is proposed. The adaptively tuned dynamic absorber is a dynamic absorber whose stiffness is tuned so that the natural frequency of the absorber coincides with the operating or natural frequency estimated by an adaptive algorithm. The feature of this absorber is as follows. It has an electrodynamic device for the stiffness control. Using Lorenz´s force, it changes the stiffness by changing the applied current. The change of stiffness results in the natural frequency shift, because its mass and damping coefficient are fixed. We may reduce the vibration of the overall system by tuning the natural frequency of the dynamic absorber to the resonant frequency of the structure, when the dominant single tone oscilation occurs in the system ...

  • 1971年부터 1973年까지 安養에서 採集한 Drosophila melanogaster의 蹄2 染色體上에 保有되어 있는 致死因子, 不姙因子 및 可視突無變異體의 頻度를 調査하였다. 1) 致死 및 反致死因子를 保有하고 있는 染色體의 頻度는 3년간 평균 28.2% 로 나타났고, 3年간의 빈도는 큰 差異가 없었다. 2) 安養自然集團의 致死遺傳因子間의 同座率은 0.77%였다. 致死因子로 이한 集團內에서의 elimination rate $(IQ^2)$는 0.0008로 추정되었다. 3) 第2染色體에 保有되어있는 劣性不姙因子는 암컷 9.1%, 수컷 6.8%, 그리고 兩性不姙이 2%로 나타났다. 4) 劣性可視突然變異體인 rbl/rbl과 bw/bw은 第2染色體에서 동협접합자가 될 때 檢出된다. 本實驗에서 rbl 因子는 2.7%였고 bw 因子는 1.3%로 나타났다.

기관실 단순 철의장품 모델 고유 진동수 해석 (Analysis of Natural Frequency of Simple Steel Outfitting Structure in Engine Room)

  • The steel outfitting structures installed in engine room are vibrated by an excitation of the engine and the propeller. Vibration problems such as cracks and fitting breakages are mainly induced at the near range of the resonance. The excitation frequency estimation is possible by engines and propeller specifications, but the natural frequency of a steel outfitting structure is not easily estimated due to the complication and variety of the designed shape. This paper represents natural frequency data of simple steel outfitting structures. As a vibration analysis tool, MSC/NASTRAN was used to calculate natural frequencies. Natural frequencies were compared in case of the shape and boundary condition changes of simple models, and anti-vibration models of the steel outfitting structures were presented on the basis of results.

웨이블릿 변환에 의한 시스템 감쇠변수 평가 (Estimation of System Damping Parameter Using Wavelet Transform)

  • 본 연구에서는 웨이블릿 변환을 적용한 시스템 감쇠비 평가에 있어서 고유주파수가 저주파 영역에 속하고, 비교적 높은 감쇠비를 갖는 응답신호에 대하여 웨이블릿 기저함수의 중심주파수 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 단일 모드로 구성된 신호와 일정 주파수를 이격시킨 분리 중첩 모드 신호 및 모드 주파수 성분을 근접시킨 인접 중첩 모드 신호에 대하여 수치해석으로 분석하고, H-Beam을 통한 실내실험을 수행하였다. 분석하고자 하는 모드의 고유주파수는 전체 스케일에 대한 대응 스케일로서 고려되고, 이러한 대응 스케일의 위치는 웨이블릿 기저함수의 중심주파수에 영향을 받게 된다. 따라서 각 모드의 고유주파수에 대응되는 스케일이 전체 스케일의 1/2에 위치되도록 웨이블릿 기저함수의 중심주파수가 선택될 때 감쇠비 평가에 대한 신뢰성이 향상 될 것이다.

사장교 케이블의 장력 추정을 위한 인공신경망 모델 개발 (Development of Artificial Neural Network Model for Estimation of Cable Tension of Cable-Stayed Bridge)

  • 본 연구에서는 사장교의 케이블 가속도계로부터 확보한 방대한 계측데이터의 활용을 확대하고자 인공지능 기반의 케이블 장력 추정 모델을 개발하였다. 케이블 장력 추정 모델은 진동법에 따른 장력 추정 과정에서 고유진동수를 판정할 수 있는 알고리즘을 핵심으로 하며 학습데이터 구성에 적합하고 판정 결과에 대한 성능이 확보될 수 있도록 입력층, 은닉층, 출력층으로 구성되는 인공신경망(Artificial Neural Network)을 적용하였다. 인공신경망의 학습데이터는 케이블 가속도 계측데이터를 진동수로 변환 후 구성하였으며 고유진동수를 중심으로 일정한 패턴을 갖는 특성을 활용하여 기계학습을 진행하였다. 학습데이터 구성 시 다수 패턴의 고유진동수를 대표할 수 있도록 다양한 크기의 진폭을 갖는 진동수를 사용하고 일정 수준으로 진동수를 누적하여 사용할 경우 고유진동수에 대한 판정 성능이 개선됨을 확인하였다. 장력 추정 모델의 성능을 판단하기 위해 계측분석 기술자에 의해 추정한 장력의 관리기준과 비교하였다. 케이블 가속도계로부터 확보한 139개의 진동수를 입력값으로 사용하여 검증을 수행한 결과 실제 정답과 유사하게 고유진동수를 판정하였고 고유진동수에 의해 케이블의 장력을 추정한 결과는 96.4%의 수준으로 관리기준에 부합하는 결과를 보여주고 있다.

The modal parameters can be estimated from poles and residues of the system transfer functions, derived from the state space system matrices. From vibration tests on cross-ply and angle-ply composite laminates, the natural frequencies and damping ratios can be estimated using the modal coordinates of the structural dynamic system reconstructed from the experimental frequency response functions. These results are compared with those of finite element analysis and single-degree-of-freedom curve fitting.

층강성 손상비를 이용한 전단형 건물의 손상위치 추정에 관한 연구 (Study on The Damage Location Detection of Shear Building Structures Using The Degradation Ratio of Story Stiffness)

  • Damage location and extent of structure could be detected by the inverse analysis on dynamic response properties such as frequencies and mode shapes. In practice the measured difference of natural frequencies represent the stiffness change reliably, however the measured mode shape is insensitive for stiffness change, but provides spatial information of damage. The damage detection index on shear building structures is formulated in this study. The damage detection index could be estimated from mode shape and srory stiffness of undamaged structure and frequency difference between undamaged and damaged structure. For the verification of the observed damage detection method, the numerical analysis of Matlab and MIDAS and shacking table test were performed. In results, the damage index of damaged story was estimated so higher than undamaged stories that indicates the damaged story apparently.

Variability in bridge frequency induced by a parked vehicle

  • The natural frequency of a bridge is an important parameter in many engineering applications such as bridge seismic design and modal-based bridge health monitoring. The natural frequency of a bridge vibrating alone may differ from that vibrating along with a vehicle. Although such vehicle-induced variability in bridge frequency is revealed in several experimental and numerical simulation studies, few attempts have been made on the theoretical descriptions. In this study, both theoretically and experimentally, the variability in the bridge frequency induced by a parked vehicle is verified, and is therefore suggested to be considered in bridge-related engineering, especially for those cases with near vehicle-bridge resonance conditions or with large vehicle-to-bridge mass ratios. Moreover, the variability ranges could be estimated by an analytical formula presented herein.
