  • In this paper we present an operational method for solving linear Volterra-Fredholm integral equations (VFIE). The method is con- structed based on three matrices with simple structures which lead to a simple and high accurate algorithm. We also present an error estimation and demonstrate accuracy of the method by numerical examples.

  • This paper presents two methods for reducing the position error of the robot hand. The first method change the parameters of the D-H transformation using real position error. The other one calibrates the joint angle by using the datas from the known teaching points. SCARA type robot is used for verifing the validity of the proposed methods.

  • We introduce some properties for fuzzy binomial distributions with fuzzy valued probability. First we define fuzzy type I error and type II error for fuzzy relative frequency and agreement index. And we show that an fuzzy power function and fuzzy binomial frequency function for binomial proportion test.

  • We obtain the approximate maximum likelihood estimators (AMLEs) for the scale and location parameters $\theta$ and $\mu$ in the three-parameter Weibull distribution based on Type-II censored samples. We also compare the AMLEs with the modified maximum likelihood estimators (MMLEs) in the sense of the mean squared error (MSE) based on complete sample.

  • The item and structure of current detector depends on the current in conductors. The Hall current detector of these detectors is to use the variation of Hall voltage to conductor's current and it is very difficult for the conventional type to detect small current. In this paper we study experimented-method that detect AC current by using the magnetic modulation method the current, 0[mA]~100[mA]. The experiments results in 5 percent against the conventional, 20 percent in linear error, 0.12[.DELTA.mV/.DELTA.mA] to conventional type, 50[.DELTA.mV/.DELTA.mA] in sensitivity. • A method which determines the number of replications in the simulation is proposed, particularly for small-sample comparison of estimators. This method takes the smallest number of replications that makes the difference of mean square errors be statistically significant and provides an efficient algorithm for calculating the standard error of the mean square error. Two examples are illustrated, the first one is on comparison of mean and median ; the second, the Kaplan-Meier type and Buckley-James type estimators of a quantile function with censored data.

  • In this paper we show that the peak of the type I error rate of the Oochran-Armitage trend test could be greater than the nominal level when $2\;{\times}\;C$ contingency tables obtained from two multinomial distributions are extremely unbalanced. This result justifies the use of the exact Cochran-Armitage trend test in extremely unbalanced $2\;{\times}\;C$ contingency tables.

  • The inspection policy and inspection error are very critical factors which influence the outgoing quality. In other words, such factors influence the acceptance rate of the incoming matarials. Hence, the outgoing lot size is varied. This paper presents a method to compute the break-even point(pb1, pb2) under these two factors, which canbe used to determine the economic acceptance inspection type.

  • This paper proposes a new design method for the SMC-type FLC and shows that a SMC-type LFC is an extension of the SMC with BL. The conventional SMC-type FLC uses error and change-of-error as inputs of the FLC and generates the absolute value of a switching magnitude. Then, the fuzzy rule table is constructed on a two-dimensional space of the phase plane and has commonly the skew symmetric property. In this paper, we introduce a new variable, signed distance, from the skew symmetric property of the rule table. And thd variable becomes only a fuzzy variable that is used to generate the control input of a SMC-type FLC. that is, we design a new SMC-type FLC that uses a signed distance and a control input as the variables representing the contents of the rule-antecedent and the rule-con-sequent, respectively. Then the number of total rules is reduced and the control performance is almost the same as that of the conventional SMC-type FLC. Additionally, we derive the control law of the ordinary SMC with BL from a new SMC-type FLC. Namely, we show that a FLC is an extension of the SMC with BL.

  • The error rate equations of digitally modulated signals transmitted through the Gaussian noise and tone multiple interference channel have been derived. Using the derived equations of error probabilities in the environments of Gaussian noise tone interferer and Gaussian noise multiple interferer, the error rate performances of various digitally modulated signals have been evaluated, and compared in graphs as a function of average carrier to tone interferer power ratio(CIR), average carrier to multiple interferer power ratio(CIT) and the average carrer-to-Gaussian noise powr ratio(CIR). In this paper, the modulation schemes such as amplitude shift keying (ASK), phase shift keying(PSK), frequency shift keying(FSK), minimum shift keying(MSK), quadrature amplitud modulation(QAM) and amplitude phase shift keying(APK) have been selected for the study of performance comparison. The results of comparison show us that, in low bits/sec/Hz, PSK is superior to the other schemes, but in high bits/sec/Hz, mixed multi ary type is better than single multi ary type. And in strong noise evironment, the multiple interferer has much influence than tone interferer, however, in low noise environment. the mojor error factor is tone interferer. But tone interference effect nearly disappears over specified CIR level about 20[dB]. And the modulation schemes using amplitude are heavily influenced by multiple interference.
