As the economic, social, and environmental problems of the local community reach a serious level, our society is realizing the need to foster young talents who discover opportunities in local issues through entrepreneurship education and create social values through creative challenges. However, entrepreneurship education programs are generally focused on commerciality, so customized education programs to solve regional problems are insufficient. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a community problem-solving entrepreneurship curriculum. In this study, a competency based curriculum model was applied to develop the curriculum, and regional problem-solving entrepreneurship competencies were derived through expert advice from a total of 10 people. In the process, the Delphi methodology was additionally used to reduce the possibility of errors in the competency model. As a result of the study, a total of 23 regional problem-solving entrepreneurship competencies were confirmed, and knowledge(K) - skill(S) - attitude(A) by competency consisted of 5, 9, and 9, respectively. By applying this to Dunham's problem-solving six-step model, modular learning support measures were developed in the order of phase 1(problem discovery), phase 2(problem analysis), phase 3(plan), phase 4(measure), and phase 5(evaluation). This study is meaningful in that it integrated theory and practice by developing specific entrepreneurship curriculum and learning support measures based on the theoretical model devised in social welfare. In addition, it has implications in that it developed a regional problem-solving entrepreneurship competency model based on expert advice and proposed a specific curriculum based on this.

Methods: This case study was conducted at U university in Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. To study curricula based on major competence, related documents were analyzed, expert opinions were obtained, and a consumer survey was conducted. Results: U University assigns major competencies for each department, develops subjects accordingly, maps them, and constructs a competency matrix. The four major competencies of physical therapy were defined as musculoskeletal system, nervous system, cardiorespiratory system and sports injury, and physical management abilities. In order to realize these major competencies, U University added subjects to its curriculum. Conclusion: The results of internal and external environmental analysis should be more actively considered to enable changes in subjects at the departmental level. In addition, the setting of major competencies should be subjected to more detailed, specific reviews to maintain the basic principles of major curricula.

The ICEC (Index of Construction Engineer's Competency) quantifies the competence of construction engineers using such parameters as experience, education, and qualifications and assigns four technical grades (expert, advanced, intermediate, and beginners) to construction engineers according to their scores for the efficient management and loading of technical personnel. However, as of 2020, the seventh year since its implementation, ICEC has shown many problems in its application, unlike its intended purpose. So institutional supplementation is required to provide improvement measures that can cope with the changing labor market environment and complement the current ICEC. Therefore, this study examined the current status of the career management system after the introduction of the ICEC, suggested a career index proportional to the competence of construction engineers from the beginner to the expert level, and developed an effective capability evaluation model I2CEC. The improved model presented in this study provides a means to comprehensively judge the performance, experience, and the professional work abilities of construction management engineers. Furthermore, the results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of efficient manpower and career management systems for enhancing the competitiveness of the domestic construction industry.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify essential global health competencies for undergraduate nursing students in Korea. Methods: This study used a mixed methods design including an online survey with a convenient sample of 223 nursing educators, followed by an expert discussion with four nursing educators with expertise in global health. The global health competency was measured using the Global Health Competencies for Nurses in the America, which consists of 30 competencies in 6 domains. Each competency was measured by a 4-point Likert Scale, with at least 80% of 3 or 4 point scores indicating consensus that competency was considered essential for undergraduate nursing students. Results: Nursing educators most strongly agreed the competencies of the Social and Environmental Determinants of Health domain as essential global health competencies for nursing students. A total of 21 items in 5 out of 6 competency domains were initially identified with at least 80% agreement. Finally, the experts decided on 24 global health competencies through the revision and integration of several competencies. Conclusion: The findings indicate that nursing educators perceived that nursing students need to be prepared for responding to emerging global health needs. The proposed list of global health competencies can provide guidance to develop a framework for integrating global health into undergraduate nursing curriculums.
The smart factory is an important system that can reduce defects, maximize productivity, and respond to customer needs, from the labor-intensive era of traditional small and medium-sized manufacturing companies through the automation era to CPS using ICT. The Korean construction industry has led the miraculous economic boost of Korea by providing solid domestic infrastructures such as highway, roads, and airports. It also played a critical role in global construction market and eaned more than 500 billions dollars in terms of their accumulated international orders. However, domestic construction market has significantly decreased in recent years due to the domestic political environments and global economic crisis. Therefore, the importance of international construction market cannot be more emphasized to the Korean construction market in order for the sustainable growth. There has been, however, little research in the area of identifying required competency elements for the Korean construction industry to stay successful in the global market. The main purpose of this study is to identify elements of core competency to increase global competitiveness for Korean construction industry. Core global construction competency elements were derived from the internal and external environmental analyses along with the extensive literature review, expert interviews and a survey. This study utilized the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) and a gap analysis in providing insights on the status competitiveness of the Korean construction industry in terms of required global core competency elements. The analysis shows that project management and financial management are the main areas for improvements required to engineering contractors while construction contractors need to take a more balanced approach among technical, project management, and financial management in order to increase their global competencies.

The term fashion sense is used in everyday conversations by consumers to refer to the ability of people who dress well in attractive ways or to refer to the competencies or expertise of fashion professionals. Despite the frequent use of the term, its concept has rarely been explored systematically. In this study, we performed in-depth interviews with 14 fashion experts to clarify the concept of fashion sense. The core elements of fashion sense were explored based on the interview results. As a result, twelve core elements were identified that included visual ability, aesthetic experience, aesthetic recognition ability, intuition, self-consciousness, self-efficacy, fashion experience, involvement in fashion, creativity, innate sense, environmental support, and development due to education. In addition to these twelve core elements, 42 supplementary elements were identified. This study is to help initiate an academic discussion of the concept of fashion sense as a competency that fashion experts should develop. The findings of this study can provide practical and educational implications for the fashion industry and academia.
