환경경영요인과 성과에 관한 연구 (The Relationship between the Factors and Performance of Environmental Management)

  • The conventional management which had economic requirement such as productivity, competition, customer satisfaction, and return needs the environmental management in order to meet a change of the external situation such as the environmental requirement (such as resources reduction, pollution prevention, and waste reduction). However, there have been a few studies which try to investigate internal factor and to regard external factors as negative ones. This paper proposes the external factors are significant to the performance. Several hypotheses were developed regarding the relationships. Based on the collected data from 126 firms, the hypotheses were analyed with SPSS.

  • 중요성의 양적 기준 및 질적 기준을 살펴볼 때 두 가지 판단기준 모두가 중요하겠지만 감사위험의 최소화, 재무제표에 대한 적정성을 고려할 때 감사인의 주관이 개입되지 않는다는 확신이 없기 때문에 금액과 비율만을 강조한 양적 판단기준 보다는 부정이나 오류의 성격, 특성을 고려하여 재무제표에 미치는 판단을 고려하는 질적 판단기준의 중요성이 강조되어야 할 것이다. 연구결과, 중요성 판단기준을 결정하는데 차이가 존재하는 것으로 나타난 것으로는 첫째, 경제적 환경요인 중 자본시장과 산업조건, 둘째, 기업적 환경요인 중 기업역사, 셋째, 정치적 환경요인 중 경제정책과 관세정책 등이 있다.

공급사슬 지속가능성 제고를 위한 선행요인들과 공급사슬 역량에 대한 연구 (A Study on Antecedence Factors and Supply Chain Capability for Improving Supply Chain Sustainability)

  • 본 연구는 공급사슬 지속가능성 선행요인, 공급사슬 역량, 공급사슬 지속가능성 간의 구조적 관계를 규명하는 것으로 공급사슬 지속가능성 선행 요인과 공급사슬 역량 간의 관계, 공급사슬 역량과 공급사슬 지속가능성 간의 관계를 규명하고, 기업규모에 따른 지속가능성 선행요인, 역량, 지속가능성 간의 차이를 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 각 연구가설을 수립하고 검정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저 환경규제준수, NGO 대응활동, CSR 활동, 거래공정성은 제조 민첩성, 환경경영, 사회적 자본에 대부분 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 검정되었으며, 제조민첩성, 환경경영, 사회적 자본 역시 경제적·환경적·사회적 지속가능성에 대부분 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 검정되었다. 그리고 기업규모에 따라 공급사슬 지속가능성 선행요인, 역량, 지속가능성에 차이가 있는 것으로 검정되었다. 연구결과에 따른 시사점을 정리하면 공급사슬 지속가능성 선행요인들로 선정한 환경 규제 준수, NGO 대응활동, CSR 활동, 거래공정성 요인들은 지속가능성의 달성을 위한 공급사슬 역량에 기본적인 선행요인들로서 역할을 수행한다는 것을 확인하였다. 제조 민첩성, 환경경영, 사회적 자본의 형성은 경제적·환경적·사회적 지속가능성의 수준을 제고할 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 공급사슬 지속가능성 선행요인들의 제고는 공급사슬 역량의 제고로 이어질 수 있고, 나아가 공급사슬 지속가능성까지 제고할 수 있다는 것을 규명하였다. 그리고 대기업과 비교 시 중소기업의 공급사슬 지속가능성 선행요인, 역량, 지속가능성의 수준을 더욱 제고하는 것 요구된다.

농촌 주거지 개발 수요에 대한 사회경제적 요인 및 산림환경의 영향 분석 (Effects of Socioeconomic Factors and Forest Environments on Demand for Rural Residential Development)

  • 이 연구에서는 미국의 북중부 7개주를 대상으로 농촌 주거지 개발에 영향을 미치는 주요 인자들을 분석하였다. 특히, 사회경제적 요인들과 산림유형에 따른 산림환경특성을 주거지 개발의 주요 요인으로 고려하여 상대적 중요도를 살펴보았다. 먼저, 1950년 이후 미 북중부 지역에서 나타난 인구변화에 대한 실증모델을 개발하였고, 고정효과 패널모델을 이용하여 인구변화에 영향을 미치는 주요 인자들을 분석하였다. 연령별로 인구변화패턴과 거주지를 선택하는 선호 요인이 상이하게 나타나기 때문에, 실증모형을 구성할 때 연령별로 모형을 설정하였다. 다음단계로, 인구변화에 영향을 미치는 요인들이 소득과 같은 가변요인 뿐 아니라 단기간에 거의 변화가 없는 지역의 특수한 환경 요인들을 포함할 것이라는 가정하에, 패널모형의 고정효과 값을 종속변수로 설정하여 각 카운티별 인구증감의 차이가 산림환경, 수자원 등 시간불변변수들에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 설정하여 횡단면적 모델을 추정하였다. 마지막으로, 농촌 지역의 주거지 수요를 설명하는 모델을 추정하였다. 연구결과, 이주자의 나이가 주거지 선정에 영향을 미치는 핵심 인자로 나타났고, 특히 사회경제적 요인 뿐 아니라 산림유형, 수자원 등 환경 어메니티가 주거지 수요에 미치는 상대적 중요도도 나이 계층별로 상이한 것으로 나타났다.

  • The Korean government embarked upon ambitious economic development plans in the 1960's the goals of development policy at that time were the elimination of absolute poverty and the alleviation of unemployment. With scant natural resources, the government had to push for industrialization based upon borrowed foreign raw materials with surplus local labor. Preoccupation with the economic goals of industrialization and export expansion left little room for considering environmental protection. It is evident that Korea's exported industrialization strategy of the past three decades has been a success in terms of income, production, and other macroeconomic indicators, but it cannot be denied that a host of undesirable side-effects have been created. These include environmental problems. congestion in several large cities, poor wealth distribution, and regional disparities. The environmental problems were recognized even in the early stage of development, but preoccupation with the pending economic goals of industrialization and export expansion left little room for considering environment protection. The perceived and actual seriousness of the problems, however, has reached such a level that further negligence may imperil political stability and developmental problems facing the world arise from a world economic order characterized by ever expanding consumption and production, which exhausts and contaminates natural resources and creates and perpetuates gross inequalities between and within nations. It will be necessary to develop new culture and ethical values, transform economic structures, and reorient, our lifestyles. Changing lifestyles can not be promoted by government policy initiative alone but through self=generated educational efforts and mutual training by people themselves. The citizens group for environment (NGOs) should assume these educational and training responsibilities starting from grass-root level of people. It must be reawakened to the reality that the environmental preservation for better quality of life is based on the development of human relationships, creativity, spirituality, reverance for the natural world and celebration of life, and is not dependent upon increased consumption of non-basic material goods. To carry on such environment education social movements and NGOs should (1) provides educational methodologies, which focus on values clarification and moving beyond clarification and moving beyond blame to constructive action. (2) provide training for leaders of business and industry, government, union and others on consumption and production. (3) initiate and support the training and work of environmental counselor who encourage responsible consumption. (4) cooperative with media to initiate and strengthen educational programs on the social environmental programs on the social environmental impacts of consumption and production and to build awareness of consumer responsibility and potential. Economic and social development can be compatible with environment protection : both can be achieved simultaneously. Effective environmental management depends on the various factors : political will, institutional arrangements, appropriate legislation, and availability of the requistite financial and technological resources, which is possible with a strong public awareness of the importance of environmental preservation.

지구정보시스템을 이용한 충주호 북부 지역의 사면 안정 평가 (Analysis of Slope Stability Using GIS in the Northern Area of Chungju Lake)

  • As a part of natural hazard assessment, regional slope stability analysis was conducted using Geoscientific Information System (GIS) in the northern area of Chungju Lake. Selected factors which affect the slope stability in the study area were lithology, soil, density of lineament, groundwater level, dip of slope, aspect of slope, and geological engineering properties. Geological structural domains were determined by collected data of joint orientation from about 200 sites in order to produce a slope instability map. Potential type of failure and its direction could be expected through the domains. And a slope instability map was produced, comparing the representative orientations of the domains with the orientations of the slopes which were made through TIN module in ARC/INFO. Under the consideration of environmental geological characteristics of the study area, rating and weighting of each factor of slope stability analysis were decided and spatial analysis of regional slope stability was couducted through overlaying technique of GIS. The result of areal distribution of slope stability showed that the most unstable area was the area between Mt. Pudae and Mt. Jubong, and the northern area of the railway station, Samtan.

Influencing factors and prediction of carbon dioxide emissions using factor analysis and optimized least squares support vector machine

  • As the energy and environmental problems are increasingly severe, researches about carbon dioxide emissions has aroused widespread concern. The accurate prediction of carbon dioxide emissions is essential for carbon emissions controlling. In this paper, we analyze the relationship between carbon dioxide emissions and influencing factors in a comprehensive way through correlation analysis and regression analysis, achieving the effective screening of key factors from 16 preliminary selected factors including GDP, total population, total energy consumption, power generation, steel production coal consumption, private owned automobile quantity, etc. Then fruit fly algorithm is used to optimize the parameters of least squares support vector machine. And the optimized model is used for prediction, overcoming the blindness of parameter selection in least squares support vector machine and maximizing the training speed and global searching ability accordingly. The results show that the prediction accuracy of carbon dioxide emissions is improved effectively. Besides, we conclude economic and environmental policy implications on the basis of analysis and calculation.

  • Environmental factors have become important in manufacturing planning due to governmental regulations and a growing preference for "green" products. However, planning decisions must also consider traditional dimensions such as production rate and quality. In this study, technology related to basic dicision method of environmentally conscious machining considered economic view was dealed. And experiments of dry type machining excluded coolant and semi-dry type machining using minimum coolant were established for the comparison of conventional machining ouputs.ng ouputs.

Environmental and Socioeconomic Determinants of Grain Virtual Water Trade: An Empirical Analysis using Decomposition and Decoupling Model

  • The world's sustainable growth is being severely hampered by the inefficient use of water resources. Despite the widely acknowledged importance of trade in global and regional water and food security, societal reliance on local production as well as international trade remains inadequately assessed. Therefore, using South Korea as a case study, this study fills in this research gap by applying the virtual water concept, the logarithmic mean divisia index (LMDI) method, and the Tapio decoupling model. The virtual water concept was used to estimate South Korea's net virtual water trade for major grain crops from 1992 to 2017. Then, the LMDI method was utilized to assess the driving factors causing changes in net virtual water trade. Lastly, the Tapio decoupling model was used to investigate the decoupling relationships between economic growth and the driving factors of net virtual water trade. Results showed that South Korea remains a net importer of virtual water flows with respect to grain crops, with an average import of 16,559.24 million m3 over the study period. In addition, the change in net virtual water trade could be attributed to water intensity effect, product structure effect, economic effect, and population effect. However, water intensity and economic effects were the major decisive factors for decrease and increase in net virtual water trade respectively, while the population and product structure effects had minor positive influences on the net virtual water trade. Furthermore, water intensity and economic growth showed a strong decoupling in most periods, while the decoupling state between product structure and economic growth was observed as expansive negative decoupling. Likewise, population size and economic growth showed a weak decoupling in most periods. The results reveal South Korea's status as it concerns the virtual water trade of grain crops, thus providing valuable insights into the sustainability of trade activities for the management of local water resources.

Does the Agricultural Ecosystem Cause Environmental Pollution in Azerbaijan?

  • In recent years, environmental pollution and determining the main factors causing this pollution have become an important issue. This study investigates the relationship between the agricultural sector and environmental pollution in Azerbaijan for 1992-2018. The dependent variable in the study is the agricultural greenhouse gas emissions (CO2 equivalent). Eight variables were selected as explanatory variables: four agricultural inputs and four agricultural macro indicators. Unit root tests, ARDL boundary test, FMOLS, DOLS and CCR long-term estimators, Granger causality analysis, and variance decomposition analyses were used to investigate the effect of these variables on agricultural emissions. The results show that chemical fertilizer consumption, livestock number, and pesticide use positively and statistically significantly affect agricultural emissions from agricultural input variables. In contrast, agricultural energy consumption has a negative and significant effect. From agricultural macro indicator variables, it was found that the crop and animal production index had a positive and significant effect on agricultural emissions. According to the Granger causality test results, it was concluded that there are a causality relationship from chemical fertilizer consumption, livestock number, crop and livestock production index variables towards agricultural emissions. Considering all the results obtained, it is seen that the variables that have the most effect on the increase in agricultural emissions in Azerbaijan are the number of livestock, the consumption of chemical fertilizers, and the use of pesticides, respectively. The results from the research will contribute to the information on agricultural greenhouse gas emissions and will play an enlightening role for policymakers and the general public.
