Vehicle driving simulators can provide engineers with benefits on the development and modification of vehicle models. One of the most important factors to realistic simulations is the fidelity given by a motion system and a real-time visual image generation system. Virtual reality technology has been widely used to achieve high fidelity. In this paper the virtual environment including a visual system like a head-mounted display is developed for a vehicle driving simulator system by employing the virtual reality technique. virtual vehicle and environment models are constructed using the object-oriented analysis and design approach. Accordint to the object model a three dimensional graphic model is developed with CAD tools such as Rhino and Pro/E. For the real-time image generation the optimized IRIS Performer 3D graphics library is embedded with the multi-thread methodology. Compared with the single loop apprach the proposed methodology yields an acceptable image generation speed 20 frames/sec for the simulator.

In green building certificated housing complex, although various planning factors in terms of 'Energy resource and Environmental impact' were adopted, the residents' consciousness for their economical and psycholgical effect has not been found. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out the usability of environment-friendly factors, with regard to the aspects of 'energy resource and environment impact' and residents, consciousness for them in order to provide the useful information to design the user-oriented green building house complex better than previous ones. the finding were summarized as follows: 1)Increasing awareness of 'green building certificated housing complex', Resident should feel contribution to the environment. 2)When mass housing planning, the development of sensible certification is required. 3)Green building certificated housing complex should change from 'certification for the Financial compensation' to 'certification for the Contribution to the environment'.

This work describes an approach that contributes to derive from mission to critical functions of the attack helicopter under future battle space environment. An existing mission of the attack helicopter is limited to the only shooter oriented functions. In the future environment, mission and its functions of the helicopter might be much expanded. The functions should be derived by the top down approach based on systems engineering approach. In this point of view, this work describes network based future battle environment. From this environment, the missions of the attack helicopter are identified and optimized functions are derived through sequential procedures like from missions to tasks, tasks to activities, and activities to functions. The selected activities are obtained from the tasks using QFD. The weighting scores of the QFD are calculated by the AHP computational procedure. Finally the critical functions are presented through the similar procedure.

The objective of this research was to develop a framework of the Soil Environment Information Management System (SEIMS). In this study, we found that the SEIMS needs to be consisted of three sub-systems (i.e., information input system, DB system, and opening to the public system), which is operated on the Web-GIS basis. Also, we suggested structure and detailed items for each sub-system which are acceptable under the basis of current legal and institutional system. Furthermore, we made several suggestions for future-oriented system. Further researches need to be pursued for developing efficiently the SEIMS, such as 1) DB standards for the SEIMS, 2) guidelines for each cleanup phase, 3) improvement of the SEIMS for groundwater quality, and 4) integrated SEIMS for both soil and groundwater system.

Compiler course is one of the important courses in computer science. It requires more efficient learning environment because of its large coverage scale and complexity. One of its solutions is to provide the integrated development environment for educational compilers which is enable to give practice-oriented class and enhance student's interest. This paper presents the code generation support system developed in an integrated development environment of educational compiler. Our system helps students to understand the process of code generation and visualizes the relation among the source language, AST, and the target language. It makes students develop their own compilers more easily.

The purpose of this study is to find Healing elements in the late work of Frank Lloyd Wright. Healing elements are mainly composed of physical, social and psychological functions, which are clearly reflected in holistic attitude and intuition in his Organic theory of Architecture. Late works of Wright since 1935 show particularly shapes of triangle and circle creating the emotional images associated with Hope and Infinity. His image-oriented design attitude is thought to be strongly related to the pursuit of Utopian ideal which means peaceful condition. He regarded it as the consequence of integrity and control, which could be thought as condition of Healing environment. Refuge and Prospect can be complementary elements of spatial expression representing peaceful and dynamic condition of the Nature itself. Five works selected in this case study have unique design ideas related to the function and image of Healing environment interpreted by the criteria of Refuge and Prospect.

In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of the FDRA(Fault Detection Recovery based on Agent) running on distributed multimedia environment. DOORAE is a good example for distributed multimedia and multimedia distance education system among students and teachers during lecture. It has primitive service agents. Service functions are implemented with objected oriented concept. FDRA is a multi-agent system. It has been environment, intelligent agents interact with each other, either collaboratively or non-collaboratively, to achieve their goals. The main idea is to detect an error by using polling method. This system detects an error by polling periodically the process with relation to session. And, it is to classify the type of error s automatically by using learning rules. The merit of this system is to use the same method to recovery it as it creates a session. FDRA is a system that is able to detect an error, to classify an error type, and to recover automatically a software error based on distributed multimedia environment.

This study was intended to survey on the restaurant selection preferences by elderly consumers' values and lifestyle. The survey was residing in Seoul and men and women who were 55 years of age or older to achieve the purpose of this study, the theoretical and empirical research methods research methods were combined. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, Action oriented intrinsic value of elderly consumers highest lifestyle influence. This trend Principle oriented lifestyle can talk comfortably while you can relax and quiet around people, mainly from a reputable place, and action-oriented selection of the hotels facilities and senior discount price menu and the service is friendly and Notice that if you use a little less meoleodo, and these results are only for the elderly consumers with access privileges and services using the factors of elderly consumers loyalty and Catering Food service satisfaction should be efforts to raise. Third, elderly consumers select attribute value and proven results Food service elderly consumers based on personal values and lifestyle are different catering companies can select the properties that standard means, elderly consumers are value-oriented properties and select the Food Service Industry catering companies by identifying the active elderly consumers in future marketing strategies to be able to bring a positive impact considered.

As craft is representing the historical culture of one country based on the old cultural characteristics and traditions of the regions in our life and is also representing the contemporary cultural culture, the interest in the crafts is becoming bigger and bigger as days pass by. However, despite this potentiality for growth, the craft that we encounter is not reflecting the ever-changing environment of the times, is failing to go beyond the folk art industry level of 1970s to 1980s. Although most of the industrial craft corporations have highly developed craft technology, but the products are not sublimated into marketable products. Also, so far schemes for development of industrial craft have not been many and studies on industrial craft in a sense of the design management have not been performed. Accordingly, this study intends to survey the effect of the design management strategy on the industrial craft product purchase intention in the industrial craft. The main contents comprehended in the study process are as follows. The design management strategy affects the industrial craft product purchase intention. Among the lower elements of the design management strategy, which are cost reduction-oriented design strategy, image-oriented design strategy and the market-oriented design strategy, the image-oriented design strategy and the market-oriented design strategy showed to affect the industrial craft product purchase intention. Especially, the image-oriented design strategy showed to affect the industrial craft purchase intention more than the market-oriented design strategy does.

In order to resolve transportation system focused on vehicles which have led to all sorts of problems such as traffic congestion, air pollution and so on, Korea recently have tended to center around Transit Oriented Development(TOD) which is capable of initiating public traffic demands. It is imperative to develop objective evaluation method which is able to measure pedestrian environment and amenity in order to facilitate green transit. The purpose of this paper is to present evaluation indices and measurement framework of pedestrian environment by analyzing effect on TOD major planning factors such as diversity, density, design, and supply etc. For this, we applied evaluation index with regard to TOD planning factors, investigating connection to pedestrian and employed AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) so as to quantify the result of measurement in Jongro 3ga and Hangangjin station. As a result, we presented relationship between travel patterns of pedestrian and each TOD planning factor. More importantly, the proposed framework is expected to make the best of the visualization as well as evaluation method for the pedestrian accessibility, convenience of public transportation, and the mixed land-use patterns in subway area and transit center.
