  • This paper is concerned with the development of the requirements for railway safety support information systems. The five safety elements at the system level have been modeled based on the enterprise architecture approach. Specifically, the modeling has been carried out as follows. First, the requirements are derived according to EIA-632 process. Also, the possible scenarios on the accident-investigation-support are developed from the help of relevant personnel in the area. The developed scenarios are reflected in modeling the operational and system architectures of DoDAF approach using a CASE tool. From this architecture model, we can easily get the specifications required for the operations. These results can give the improved understanding of the railway safety system to the members of diverse teams and areas working for the system development.

  • Firms spend enormous efforts identifying current processes and understanding the related details before establishing new business processes in their business process redesign (BPR) projects. Considering excessive efforts required during the analysis phase and limited support to BPR projects, need for a better method is evident This article describes a method of modeling enterprise business processes bayed on common business forms. By identifying form operations and form field types, the proposed method provides redesign view on the information handling as well as the current process flows in the form of an Event-Process Chain (EPC) diagram.

  • For CALS environment, sharing information among business processes within the enterprise and between enterprises have been increased through common database. To support integrated data environment, data of the local legacy system must coincide with data of the global system to guarantee data integrity and transparency. This study is concerned with the implementation of this distributed database system under CALS environment. Based on existing IDEF methods, we developed a modified method which newly includes concepts of the enterprise structure, the integration of legacy databases, the distribution of data, and the distributed applications .

  • In this paper, we suggest the system analysis method that links IDEF0 and conceptual analysis. Based on the method, we propose the implementation methodology that can be used to build CALS/EC systems in logistics industry. This paper presents data characteristic derived using ICAM DEFinition(IDEF0) and conceptual data modeling. Modeling methodology has been widely used for analysis and design of an enterprise information system. Further IDEF has been considered appropriate for developing functional and database models for the logistics environment.

  • A strategic plan for an immediate situation must be present in a business enterprise to deal actively and efficiently with the demand environment of new customer. The purpose of this paper is to provide research about the manufacturing strategy situations of the Korean manufacturing company. And this paper is a part of Modeling on Manufacturing Strategy. We emphasizes the importance of dynamism and complexity on the competitive environment, and classify the manufacturing strategy by trade-off model, cumulative model, sandcone model, strategic fit model, and competitiveness model.

  • Business Rules are formal statements about the data and processes of an enterprise. They present projections of the organization's constraints and ways of working on their supporting information systems. Therefore, their collection, structuring and organization should be central activities within information systems. In an enterprise, business rules are used to represent certain aspects of a business domain (static rules) or business policy (dynamic rules). Hence, regarding problem domains in the organization, business rules are classified into two groups: static and dynamic business rules. The paper introduces a new concept of business rules, Extended Dynamic Business Rule (EDBR) which contains the results of the occurrence of business rule's action. The focus of this paper is in the organizing, defining and modeling of such business rules using Mineau's approach. Mineau's approach is an extension of Sowa's Conceptual Graph theory.

  • This study first investigates relationships among fashion consumer's positive emotion toward social value seeking activities (SVSA), enterprise image (EI), enterprise-perceived quality (EPQ), and purchase intention. Additionally, it demonstrates if the confirmed relationships are different in similar SVSA between social enterprise and cause-related marketing (CRM). An online experiment using a 2 (the implementation organization of social values: social enterprise vs CRM) ${\times}2$ (SVSA: support of vulnerable group vs environmental protection) factorial design was conducted to test the established hypotheses. Participants were randomly assigned to one of four conditions, and the collected data were analyzed using a partial least squares structure equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and partial least squares multi-group analysis (PLS-MGA). The results revealed that positive emotion toward SVSA directly influenced EI and purchase intention. EI and EPQ were identified as sequential mediators linking positive emotion toward SVSA and purchase intention. A finding for similarity in consumer response paths between social enterprises and CRM highlights that social enterprises need to develop a marketing strategy distinguished from CRM.

  • Enterprise system (ES) reflects a significant IT commitment to achieve corporate goals and satisfy its thrust toward a sustainable competitive advantage. This research investigates the required ES architecture, the value of a well-planned ES, and the human factor capabilities that drive the effective implementation of ES from a management perception. This paper examined the critical factors shaping the business systems' performance, architecture readiness, experts' readiness, and enterprise systems planning. Based on an extensive literature review, the attributes of factors mentioned earlier were identified, classified and then statistically examined using the author's' proposed conceptual structural model. This study employs a quantitative research methodology, with a random sampling technique. This paper has used the data collected from 510 respondents working in service, engineering and health sectors in OMAN. The study model analysis utilized both exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, followed by a structural equation modeling using SPSS 25 and EQS6.3 statistical tools. The results unveil a piece of remarkable and robust evidence suggesting that ES planning is the most significant aspect of influencing performance, followed by IT personnel, staff and consumers expertise, and architecture readiness.

  • In this article, we verified to influence on the performance through performance management system and public enterprise management evaluation implementation degree by the airport policy and leadership. Data collected from 533 employees of Incheon International Airport Corporation and Korea Airports Corporation. Sample extracted with a simple random sampling. Data analysis adopted structural equation modeling. The results of this research found that airport policy and leadership are the key variables influencing airport performance. This research verified a significant mediation effect on the public enterprise management evaluation implementation degree. Thus, this research assert that positive proposals for airport policy and insightful leadership must be taken. This paper explores new view in the public enterprise management evaluation research and offers practical help to researchers and practitioners in providing a direction for airport performance.
