IS 15504 and CMMI, etc are already proven models as a framework to improve the maturity of enterprise software development. However, these process maturity models can't present the detail and practical methods with which people can enhance the development competence and efficiency of an enterprise. Each company or organization should develop its own model or tailor the above models to make them suitable to its unique environment such as product or technology domain, scale of business or organization and cultural environment, etc for the practical application. This study introduces experiences that organizational and technical capability was reinforced based on our own process capability improvement model to improve software development strength in Samsung Electronics. We modeled our own improvement model which is expanded from IS 15504 against our experience. Our SPI model expanded its capability to organizational and technical issues including newly introduced capability level for evaluating its implementation. We expect that our study would give contribution for presenting industry experience and reference model for reinforcing software development competence.

Business process engineering (BPE) is a top-down management approach for increasing efficiency and productivity through radical and fundamental changes to the business processes of the organization. BPE requires firms to initially develop a model of the existing business processes of the firm to distinguish functional tasks from processes used for coordinating inputs, activities and outputs. The model is used for understanding the business processes in the organization and to simulate the effect of changes to the processes. The model can also be used to justify business processes, which involves assessing whether the business process provides value to the customer in its current configuration. Justification requires a careful examination of the key business processes used by the firm to identify systemic shortcomings in the process and to create a new business process to produce greater efficiency. BPE also considers automating as many business processes as possible to increase operational efficiency and the integration of business process tasks. The construction industry has been slow to adopt BPE because of its project approach in which a major firm contracts with various functional service providers and regards each project as unique. The industry focuses on functional task efficiency rather than business process efficiency. There is no formal methodology or criteria for determining whether a business process is effective for a construction firm in its current configuration. The use of performance measures such as costs, task duration times or other metrics can be useful in evaluating the effectiveness of an existing business process and for modeling the possible outcome of a fundamental and radical change to the process.
The system development approach method of the new paradigm, as being standardizing MDA(Model Driven Architecture) in OMG(Object Management Group), the core technique of MDA definite technique structure for system materialization focusing on Model, is to build the design and the statement for system in PIM(Platform Independent Model), Materialization technique, and to build PSM(Platform Specific Model) adapt to materialization environment, and then to be the technique transforming into language Platform suitable to materialization environment. It includes MOF(Meta-Object Facility), UML, XMI(XML Metadata Interchange), CWM(Common Warehouse Metamodel), the core of MDA. Though these operations MDA support automatic tools product the practicable system after carrying out transform operation with the above information. In this thesis, it will be approached how to design and materialize the Bachelor management system based on MDA and the importance of modeling should be emphasized by applying to the approach method based on MDA. It should be suggested how to develop software efficiently, written it out in PIM, and suggested the process transforming PSM into EJB by J2EE Platform. The system is designed and implemented using automatic tool, edit machine(Together Architect 2006 for Eclipse, Edit plus2) supporting MDA and Database Modeling tool(ER/WIN 4.1). In conclusion, it should be suggested the efficiency analysis result for development process of traditional and based on MDA.
Today, businesses have to respond with flexibility and speed to ever-changing customer demand and market opportunities. Service-oriented architecture (SOA) is the best methodology for minimizing the complexity and the cost of enterprise-level infrastructure and for maximizing the productivity and the flexibility of an enterprise. Most of the enterprise-level SOA delivery strategies deal with the top-down approach, which organization has to define the business processes, to model business services, and to find the required services or to develop new services. However, a lot of peoples want to maximally reuse legacy component-based systems as well as to deliver SOA into their organizations. In this paper, we propose a bottom-up approach for identifying business services with proper granularity. It can improve the reusability and maintenance of services by considering not data I/O of components of legacy applications but GUI event patterns. Our proposed method is applied to MIS with 129 GUIs and 13 components. As a result, the valiance of the coupling value of components is increased five times and three business services are distinctly exposed. It also provides a 49% improvement in reducing the relationship problems between services over a service identification method using only partitioning information of components.

This paper presents the core technology of Construction Business Process Automation to model and automate construction business processes. Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Automation (BPA) have been recognized as one of the important aspects in construction business management. However, BPR requires a lot of efforts to identify, document, implement, execute, maintain, and keep track thousands of business processes to deliver a project. Moreover, existing BPA technologies used in existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems do not lend themselves to effective scalability for construction business process management. Application of Workflow and Object Technologies would be quite effective in implementing a scalable enterprise application for construction business processes by addressing how: 1) Automated construction management tasks are developed as software components, 2) The process modeling is facilitated by dragging-and dropping task components in a network, 3) Raising business requests and instantiating corresponding process instances are delivered, and 4) Business process instances are executed by using workflow technology based on real-time simulation engine. This paper presents how the construction business process automation is achieved by using equipment reservation and cancellation processes simplified intentionally.

Architecture framework (AF) is a guideline to define components needed to develop and operate enterprise architecture (EA), and to define relationships among the components. There are many architecture frameworks to operate EA of governments and businesses such as Zachman framework, DoDAF, TOGAF, FEAF, and TEAF. DoDAF is the most representative AF to support the development of the EA in the military domain. DoDAF is composed of eight viewpoints and 40 views that are affiliated with the viewpoints. To develop an AF for a specific goal, system architects decide a set of views. Furthermore, they determine data that are needed for a view modeling. However, views and data in DoDAF are structurally inter-related explicitly and/or implicitly. So, developing an AF for a specific goal is going to be a project to be carried out over a long haul. To reduce the burden of its development, in this paper, we develop ONT-SAF (Ontology for DoDAF) that can infer inter-relationships like referential and transitive relationships and the sequences among the views. Furthermore, to promote reusability and consistency of the views and the data within an AF, we adopt the view-data separation strategy. ONT-DAT contains classes like 'viewpoint', 'view', 'data', 'expression method', and 'reference model', and 11 properties including 'hasView.' To prove the effectiveness of ONT-SAF, we perform a case study.

The Enterprise Service Bus based on Java Business Integration is an web service standard and one of the methods for implementing distribution channels of Service Oriented Architecture. Consisting of open source group, extensive venders and users, the ESB based JBI has the problems of ineffectiveness as well as advantages of extensibility of service plug-in. That is, in case users need to use Service plug-in, manual connection of packaging process and sequential distribution method is required. This study, therefore, proposes as a way of trouble-shooting the user-oriented component deployment tool which can manage entire process for deploying The ESB middleware platform to Service unit. At the same time, this study elicited the requirements based on issues of JBI-based ESB and has developed the modeling property, packaging, distribution and evaluation thru Schema analysis of JBI-compatible component. Using the deployment tool this study proposed, users will be able to perform and manage the whole deploying process without additional manual work for connecting component. Not only it is expected that interface based on Graphic User Interface provide usability and convenience but they can also minimize the errors rate through component and route validity verification function provided in deployment tool.
As systematic information protection and management is recognized as an organization's core value, organizations are pursuing a shift from an individual-centered information management method to an organization-oriented information management method. The Enterprise content management system(ECMS) is a solution that supports document security and information sharing by insiders and is being introduced by many organizations due to recent technological developments. The purpose of this study is to present a method of improving performance through continuous use of the ECMS from the user's point of view and also suggest a method to improve the intention of continuous use through the expansion of the technology acceptance model. This study surveyed the employees of organizations that adopted the ECMS and verified the research hypothesis derived from previous studies through structural equation modeling. As a result of the analysis, usefulness, and ease of use affected on the intention of continuous use of the ECMS, and the knowledge sharing culture and the ECMS quality factors affected the technology acceptance model factors. The results of this study have academic and practical significance in terms of suggesting a plan to increase the usability of the ECMS from the user's point of view.

The purpose of this study is to provide comprehensive insights on the current research trends in entrepreneurship based on topic modeling and keyword co-occurrence analysis. This study queried Web of Science database with 'entrepreneurship' and collected 14,953 research articles between 2002 and 2021. The study used R program for topic modeling and VOSviewer program for keyword co-occurrence analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of keyword co-occurrence analysis, 5 clusters divided: entrepreneurship and innovation cluster, entrepreneurship education cluster, social entrepreneurship and sustainability cluster, enterprise performance cluster, and knowledge and technology transfer cluster. Second, as a result of the topic modeling analysis, 12 topics found: start-up environment and economic development, international entrepreneurship, venture capital, government policy and support, social entrepreneurship, management-related issues, regional city planning and development, entrepreneurship research, and entrepreneurial intention. Finally, the study identified two hot topics(venture capital and entrepreneurship intention) and a cold topic(international entrepreneurship). The results of this study are useful to understand current research trends in entrepreneurship research and provide insights into research of entrepreneurship.
Measuring Information Technology(IT) organizations' activities have been limited to mainly measure financial indicators for a long time. However, according to the multifarious functions of Information System, a number of researches have been done for the new trends on measurement methodologies that come with financial measurement as well as new measurement methods. Especially, the researches on IT Balanced Scorecard(BSC), concept from BSC measuring IT activities have been done as well in recent years. BSC provides more advantages than only integration of non-financial measures in a performance measurement system. The core of BSC rests on the cause-and-effect relationships between measures to allow prediction of value chain performance measures to allow prediction of value chain performance measures, communication, and realization of the corporate strategy and incentive controlled actions. More recently, BSC proponents have focused on the need to tie measures together into a causal chain of performance, and to test the validity of these hypothesized effects to guide the development of strategy. Kaplan and Norton[2001] argue that one of the primary benefits of the balanced scorecard is its use in gauging the success of strategy. Norreklit[2000] insist that the cause-and-effect chain is central to the balanced scorecard. The cause-and-effect chain is also central to the IT BSC. However, prior researches on relationship between information system and enterprise strategies as well as connection between various IT performance measurement indicators are not so much studied. Ittner et al.[2003] report that 77% of all surveyed companies with an implemented BSC place no or only little interest on soundly modeled cause-and-effect relationships despite of the importance of cause-and-effect chains as an integral part of BSC. This shortcoming can be explained with one theoretical and one practical reason[Blumenberg and Hinz, 2006]. From a theoretical point of view, causalities within the BSC method and their application are only vaguely described by Kaplan and Norton. From a practical consideration, modeling corporate causalities is a complex task due to tedious data acquisition and following reliability maintenance. However, cause-and effect relationships are an essential part of BSCs because they differentiate performance measurement systems like BSCs from simple key performance indicator(KPI) lists. KPI lists present an ad-hoc collection of measures to managers but do not allow for a comprehensive view on corporate performance. Instead, performance measurement system like BSCs tries to model the relationships of the underlying value chain in cause-and-effect relationships. Therefore, to overcome the deficiencies of causal modeling in IT BSC, sound and robust causal modeling approaches are required in theory as well as in practice for offering a solution. The propose of this study is to suggest critical success factors(CSFs) and KPIs for measuring performance for IT organizations and empirically validate the casual relationships between those CSFs. For this purpose, we define four perspectives of BSC for IT organizations according to Van Grembergen's study[2000] as follows. The Future Orientation perspective represents the human and technology resources needed by IT to deliver its services. The Operational Excellence perspective represents the IT processes employed to develop and deliver the applications. The User Orientation perspective represents the user evaluation of IT. The Business Contribution perspective captures the business value of the IT investments. Each of these perspectives has to be translated into corresponding metrics and measures that assess the current situations. This study suggests 12 CSFs for IT BSC based on the previous IT BSC's studies and COBIT 4.1. These CSFs consist of 51 KPIs. We defines the cause-and-effect relationships among BSC CSFs for IT Organizations as follows. The Future Orientation perspective will have positive effects on the Operational Excellence perspective. Then the Operational Excellence perspective will have positive effects on the User Orientation perspective. Finally, the User Orientation perspective will have positive effects on the Business Contribution perspective. This research tests the validity of these hypothesized casual effects and the sub-hypothesized causal relationships. For the purpose, we used the Partial Least Squares approach to Structural Equation Modeling(or PLS Path Modeling) for analyzing multiple IT BSC CSFs. The PLS path modeling has special abilities that make it more appropriate than other techniques, such as multiple regression and LISREL, when analyzing small sample sizes. Recently the use of PLS path modeling has been gaining interests and use among IS researchers in recent years because of its ability to model latent constructs under conditions of nonormality and with small to medium sample sizes(Chin et al., 2003). The empirical results of our study using PLS path modeling show that the casual effects in IT BSC significantly exist partially in our hypotheses.
