The present paper is to present the results of studied of pressure drop in annuli with corrugated and spirally fluted inner tubes for the turbulent flow regime. To understand the underlying physical phenomena responsible for heat transfer enhancement, flow mechanism documented elsewhere are combined with pressure drop measurements to confirm the friction factors obtained from the annuli with the grooved inner tubes for the Reynolds number of 1000 to 8000. Friction factors were found to be functions of trough depth, pitch and angle, and the annulus radius ratio. friction factor increases in the spirally fluted tubes were larger than those in the corrugated tubes.
This study was carried out to evaluate on the job implementation of ITEC(Invention Teacher Education Center)'s in-service teacher training. To accomplish this purpose, teacher's perception on retention, usefulness, utilization, and enhancement were investigated after one year completing in-service teacher training. The subjects of survey research were 30 teachers and the case analysis objects were 12 epilogues of in-service teacher training. The mean of job implementation of southeast ITEC's in-service teacher training was 4.07 on a five-point scale. Teacher's perception on job implementation sub factors after one year completing in-service teacher training were as follows. The mean of enhancement factor was 4.39, usefulness factor was 4.11, utilization factor was 3.94, and retention factor was 3.82 on a five-point scale. The mean of enhancement factor and usefulness factor were relatively high level as compared with the mean of job implementation and the mean of utilization factor and retention factor were relatively low level as compared with the mean of job implementation. The results of qualitative content analysis about 12 epilogues of in-service teacher training, some significant instances were deducted that representable retention, usefulness, utilization, and enhancement factors directly and indirectly.
Grafting of fruit-bearing vegetables has been widely used to increase the resistance to soil-borne diseases, to increase the tolerance to low temperature or to soil salinity, to increase the plant vigor, and to extend the duration of economic harvest time. After grafting, it is important to control the environment around grafted seedlings for the robust joining of a scion and rootstock. Usually the shading materials and plastic films are used to keep the high relative humidity and low light intensity in greenhouse or tunnel. It is quite difficult to optimally control the environment for healing and acclimation of grafted seedlings under natural light. So the farmers or growers rely on their experience for the production of grafted seedling with high quality. If artificial light is used as a lighting source for graft-taking of grafted seedlings, the light intensity and photoperiod can be easily controlled. The purpose of this study was to develop a prototype system for the graft-taking enhancement of grafted seedlings using artificial lighting and to investigate the effect of air current speed on the distribution of air temperature and relative humidity in a graft-taking enhancement system. A prototype graft-taking system was consisted by polyurethane panels, air-conditioning unit, system controller and lighting unit. Three band fluorescent lamps (FL20SEX-D/18, Kumho Electric, Inc.) were used as a lighting source. Anemometer (Climomaster 6521, KANOMAX), T-type thermocouples and humidity sensors (CHS-UPS, TDK) were used to measure the air current speed, air temperature and relative humidity in a graft-taking system. In this system, air flow acted as a driving force for the diffusion of heat and water vapor. Air current speed, air temperature and relative humidity controlled by a programmable logic controller (UP750, Yokogawa Electric Co) and an inverter (MOSCON-G3, SAMSUNG) had an even distribution. Distribution of air temperature and relative humidity in a graft-taking enhancement system was fairly affected by air current speed. Air current speed higher than 0.1m/s was required to obtain the even distribution of environmental factors in this system. At low air current speed of 0.1m/s, the evapotranspiration rate of grafted seedlings would be suppressed and thus graft-taking would be enhanced. This system could be used to investigate the effects of air temperature, relative humidity, air current speed and light intensity on the evaportranspiration rate of grafted seedlings.
This research is to suggest the factor which is effecting on the information system audit fidelity in the perspective of audit procurer, to develop the measure to evaluate it, to investigate the audit performance and project performance for comparison the audit fidelity between the audit teams. As the analysis results, we found that the audit service factors can be divided to the expert knowledge of auditor and the project attributes itself. It means these factors are the major measures for the audit fidelity. In this research, the hypothesis of this study model is verified throughout the factor and corelation analysis, and the structured equation model is applied. Analysis results show that all relations between the factors are significant statistically. The audit service factors has an effect on audit fidelity. Also the information system audit fidelity can be affect on the project performance, audit performance and customer satisfaction. So, in conclusion, we need to judge closely the audit service factors affecting the audit fidelity for the enhancement of the project performance, audit performance and customer satisfaction.
Automobile-related industries have been a few of leading ones among domestic industries reporting high rates of musculoskeletal disorders (WMSD's). In this paper, major ergonomic aspects of automobile-related works were reviewed with reference to WMSD's. According to the result, high repeatability of works with as short as 1 minute or less, awkward postures required, excessive forces, and vibrations due to power tools were drawn out as major physical factors. To eliminate or mitigate those factors - at least in automobile-related industries - ergonomic approach has tried for more than a decade. With all, however, ergonomists still seem to confront with several problems to be solved such as development of appropriate assessment tools, enhancement of work improvement activities, system establishment for continuous prevention and management of WMSD's. As lots of previous researches declared, it was concluded that ergonomic approach would collaborate with other approaches such as ndustrial medicine considering physical factors as well as psychosocial factors, and that the necessity of an integrated Occupational Safety and Health Management System(OHSMS) was mentioned.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify clinical predictive factors for tumor response after preoperative chemoradiotherapy (CRT) in rectal cancer. Materials and Methods: The study involved 51 patients who underwent preoperative CRT followed by surgery between January 2005 and February 2012. Radiotherapy was delivered to the whole pelvis at a dose of 45 Gy in 25 fractions, followed by a boost of 5.4 Gy in 3 fractions to the primary tumor with 5 fractions per week. Three different chemotherapy regimens were used (5-fluorouracil and leucovorin, capecitabine, or tegafur/uracil). Tumor responses to preoperative CRT were assessed in terms of tumor downstaging and pathologic complete response (ypCR). Statistical analyses were performed to identify clinical factors associated with pathologic tumor response. Results: Tumor downstaging was observed in 28 patients (54.9%), whereas ypCR was observed in 6 patients (11.8%). Multivariate analysis found that predictors of downstaging was pretreatment relative lymphocyte count (p = 0.023) and that none of clinical factors was significantly associated with ypCR. Conclusion: Pretreatment relative lymphocyte count (%) has a significant impact on the pathologic tumor response (tumor downstaging) after preoperative CRT for locally advanced rectal cancer. Enhancement of lymphocyte-mediated immune reactions may improve the effect of preoperative CRT for rectal cancer.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting the drinking behavior in high school students. Methods: There were 620 subjects who were first and second graders of seven high schools in Daegu. This study used Sinhaengwoo (1998)'s drinking behavior scale, Rowlison and Felner (1988)'s stress scale, Kovacs (1981)'s children's depression inventory, Rosenberg (1965)'s self-esteem scale. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression using SPSS/win 18.0 program. This study was approved by the Institutional Review Boards (IRB) of the Keimyung university hospital(No. 12-112). Results: The mean score for drinking behavior in high school students was 23.1points. Factors influencing drinking behavior in high school students were identified as self-esteem(t=-3.67, p<.001), stress(t=6.79, p<.001), school types(t=4.02, p<.001), sex(t=-3.67, p<.001). These factors explained 27% of drinking behavior reported by high school students. Conclusion: The results indicate which factors are majors influencing drinking behavior in high school students. Therefore, self-esteem enhancement could be considered as an effective strategy to reduce the drinking behavior in high school students.

Industrial accidents have been consistently increased in terms of medical costs, lost work days, and incidence rates every year in Korea. Since the infrastructure of the industry changed shifts rapidly from 1980s in the developing countries such as South Korea, the nature and magnitude of the industrial accidents have also undergone a major shift. The situation is especially severe in small-to-medium sized industry(SMI). This article reports the development of a systematic evaluation system of risk factors specifically for the SMIs. The new approach introduced by this article is geared to the systematic identification and evaluation of the injuries from power press machines using the Analytic Hierarchy Process with the key evaluation data generated and evaluated by the employees on site. A total of 21 companies was studied and surveyed using the hierarchical structures of the cause-effect relationship of the mechanical injuries and their countermeasures. For the relative weighting of each risk factor, separate questionnaire survey was conducted for the selected workers from each company who had worked for more than 10 years in press work. Most participants (48 out of 62) replied that human attributes were the most significant factors for mechanical injuries fellowed by administration, machine, and work environment factors. The result also showed that the self-motivated risk assessment and safety enhancement activities would be an effective and efficient way of managing the risk factors in the SMIs.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between supply chain sustainability antecedent, supply chain competence, and supply chain sustainability. The relationship between supply chain sustainability antecedence factor and supply chain competence, supply chain competence and supply chain sustainability and to identify the differences between sustainability antecedence factors, capacity and sustainability depending on the size of the firm. To accomplish this, each research hypothesis was established and the results are as follows. First, compliance with environmental regulations, NGO response activities, CSR activities, and trade fairness were found to have a significant positive impact on manufacturing agility, environmental management, and social capital. And manufacturing agility, environmental management, and social capital has been confirmed that most of the economic, environmental and social sustainability have a significant positive influence. In addition, it has been confirmed that there are differences in the factors of supply chain sustainability, capacity, and sustainability depending on the size of the company. According to the results of the study, environmental regulation compliance, NGO response activities, CSR activities, and fairness factors selected as the leading factors of supply chain sustainability play a role as fundamental prerequisites for supply chain competence to achieve sustainability. Manufacturing agility, environmental management, and the formation of social capital have confirmed that they can raise the level of economic, environmental and social sustainability. Therefore, it was confirmed that the enhancement of supply chain sustainability precedence factors can lead to enhancement of supply chain competence, and furthermore, sustainability of supply chain. Compared with large corporations, SMEs' supply chain sustainability precedence factor, capacity and sustainability should be further improved.
