STS304의 레이저 절단에서 보조가스 압력이 미치는 영향 (Effect of Assistant Gas Pressure on Laser Cutting of STS304)

  • This paper presents the effects of assistant gas pressure on laser cutting. To investigate the effects of assistant gas pressure, pressure measuring system was constructed with good handling and precision at low price. The measured results discussed compare with that of laser cutting of STS304. The assistant gas pressure varied with the variation of distance between nozzle and workpiece. The peak pressure existed at some distance and could be known by using the deviced pressure measuring system. The higher assistant gas pressure helps to remove the dross and the exothermic energy out of the material. The quantity of dross beneath the workpiece decreases and the kerf width narrows at measured peak pressure.

  • This paper describes a vacuum tube based high voltage pulse generator for pulsed gas lasers. The pulse generator delivers 20 kV, 300 A pulse outputs with more than 10 kHz pulse repetition rates It can be controlled its Pulse width from 30 ns to 80 ns continuously without any hardware change.

소다석회유리의 CO2 레이저 스크라이빙 가공 (CO2 Laser Scribing Process of Soda Lime Glass)

  • This study reports the CW $CO_2$ laser scribing of soda lime glass. In this study, scribing experiments are carried out at different laser powers, scan speeds, and focal positions to investigate the effect of the process parameters on the interaction characteristics between a laser beam and glass. In particular, the interaction characteristics are analyzed and described with the input laser energy per unit length. According to the experimental results, the damage threshold for the glass surface was found to exist between 0.072 and 0.08 J/mm. The input laser energy in this region induced partial melting of the surface and grain-shaped cracks. These cracks tended to increase as the input laser energy increased. At the laser input energy larger than 1 J/mm, a huge crack propagating along the scan direction was produced, and the volume below the scribed area was fully melted. The growth of this crack finally resulted in the complete cutting of the glass at the input laser energy above 8 J/mm. It was found that both the width and depth of the scribed line increased with increasing input laser energy. For the beam focusing at the rear surface, the width of the scribed line varied irregularly. This could be ascribed to the increased asymmetry of the beam intensity distribution when the laser beam was focused at the rear surface. Under this condition, a large burr was only produced on one side of the scribed line.

반사율에 따른 광선반 채광 성능평가 연구 - 주거공간을 중심으로 - (Daylighting Performance Evaluation of Light-shelf according to the Reflectivity - Focused on the Residing space -)

  • Purpose: Due to recent increase on energy consumption for light in building, many studies to mitigate this issue have been conducted. Various researches have been carried out to suggest light shelf as one of the solutions, but researches for its reflectivity is very few. In fact, existing research on light shelf shows that utilizing more than 90% of high-illumination materials causes imbalance of glare and illuminance. Method: Therefore this research aimed to evaluate the performance of light shelves depending on reflectivity and to identify proper solution through test-bed. Result: The results are following: 1) Increased reflectivity generally contributed to increase of indoor illuminance but degrade uniformity factor related with indoor comfort of light environment. 2) The $0^{\circ}fixed$ light shelf with 75% of reflectivity and width of 300mm and 40mm appeared to consume more energy than other shelves. Therefore, it is analyzed as unsuitable. 3) This research was conducted by calculating appropriate angle of light shelf around winter and summer solstices and vernal/autumnal equinox. Based on this, performance evaluation was undertaken depending on reflectivity of movable light shelf, which is activated by external sources and can be applied with lower reflectivity than fixed shelf. However, one exception was a movable shelf with width of 600mm that increased light energy consumption when 75% of reflectivity was applied. 4) Performance evaluation of fixed and movable light shelf showed that the shelf with 80% of reflectivity came up with suitable results, but 75% of reflectivity may be applied depending on the width and angle of the shelf. This research is meaningful in that estimation of appropriate reflectivity of light shelf can resolve the glare problem and improve light environment, and further research would be desirable under more diverse conditions to identify proper solution.

짧은 전류 펄스를 이용한 전류 유도 자화 반전에서 에너지 장벽 분포의 효과 (Effect of Energy Barrier Distribution on Current-Induced Magnetization Switching with Short Current Pulses)

  • 본 논문에서는 짧은 전류 펄스를 이용한 미소자기 소자에서의 전류 유도 자화 반전에 대한 매크로 스핀 시뮬레이션 연구를 수행하였다. 자화 반전 전류 분포에 있어서 에너지 장벽이 미치는 효과에 특별히 주목하였다. 자화 반전 전류의 크기 및 분포는 전류 펄스 폭의 감소에 따라 증가했다. 여기서 긴 전류 펄스 폭 영역에서는 에너지 장벽과 자화 반전 전류 분포 사이의 관계가 아레니우스-닐 법칙에 의해 서술된다. 하지만 짧은 전류 펄스 폭의 영역에서는 이 관계가 풀리지 않은 채로 남아있다. 이는 짧은 전류 펄스로 인한 자화 반전이 열적 활성화에 의해서가 아닌 세차 운동에 의해 좌우되기 때문이며, 이를 해결하는 데에 있어서 어려움이 발생한다. 그러므로 포커-플랑크 방정식을 풀어서 짧은 전류 펄스 영역에서의 자화 반전에 대한 정확한 공식을 얻어내는 것이 필요하며 이를 통해 짧은 전류 펄스 영역에서의 자화 반전 양상을 이해 할 수 있을 것으로 본다.

원통형 진동수주 파력발전장치에 의한 파 에너지 흡수 (Wave Energy Absorption by a Circular Cylinder Oscillating Water Column Device)

  • 본 논문에서는 밑이 뚫린 원통형 진동수주 파력발전장치에 의한 파 에너지 흡수효율을 살펴보았다. 경계치 문제는 공기실내의 변동압력이 없을 때 입사파에 의한 산란문제와 공기실 내부의 변동압력에 의한 방사문제로 나누어진다. 공기실 내에서 공기 흐름에 대한 연속방정식을 적용하여 변동압력을 구하였다. 이로부터 진동수주 파력발전장치가 흡수한 시간평균 마력과 에너지 취득 폭을 구하였다. 수치계산에서는 원통형 공기실의 반지름과 잠긴 깊이 그리고 입사파의 주파수를 바꿔가면서 공기실 내부의 유량 변화와 에너지 취득 폭을 살펴보았다. 수학적으로 구한 최적의 터빈 상수를 대입하며 구한 에너지 취득 폭의 최대값은 원통형 공기실의 공진 모드 중에서 첫 번째 공진 모드인 Helmholtz모드에서 나타난다. 따라서 효율적인 파력발전장치를 제작하기 위해서는 설치될 해역의 파의 주파수와 공기실의 고유주파수가 일치되도록 공기실의 형상을 설계하여야 한다.

모형 로켓 연소실에서 배플형 분사기의 간극에 의한 음향 감쇠 효과에 관한 수치적 연구 (A Numerical Study on Acoustic Damping Induced by Gap between Baffled Injectors in a Model Rocket Combustor)

  • 로켓 엔진의 음향 불안정을 제어하기 위해 모형 연소실에 배플형 분사기가 장착된 경우의 음향 감쇠 특성을 수치해석적으로 조사하였다. 기존에 보고된 배플형 분사기의 효용성을 확인하였고 분사기간 간극이 존재할 때 음향 감쇠 효과가 증대되는 메커니즘을 규명하였다. 여러 가지 크기의 간극에 따라 음향학적 감쇠능력을 조사하였고, 본 연소실에서는 0.1 mm 정도의 간극에서 최적의 감쇠능력을 가짐을 알 수 있었다. 음향 감쇠 효과가 증대되는 메커니즘을 규명하기 위해, 분사기 사이의 간극에 따른 에너지 소산율과 와도를 계산하였고, 소산율 변화 추이와 감쇠인자 변화 추이가 유사함을 알았다. 이를 통해, 간극에 의한 에너지 소산의 종대로 음향 감쇠 효과가 증가함을 알았다.

Energy Model Based Direct Torque Control of Induction Motor Using IP Controllers

  • This paper deals with direct torque control of an induction motor (IM) with constant switching frequency. The desired torque is obtained from the speed controller which is designed using the IP controller. Decoupling control of torque and flux is developed based on the energy model of IM using the IP controller strategies. The desired d-axis and q-axis stator voltage components are obtained from the designed controller, which decouples torque and flux. The constant switching frequency can be applied using space-vector pulse width modulation, since the desired stator voltage can be known from the decoupling torque and flux controllers. In order to achieve stable operation of the proposed IP controllers, the gains of the controllers are chosen by setting the poles in negative (left) half of s-plane and by choosing the rising time for the response of the step function. The proposed controller was verified in simulations using Matlab/Simulink and results have proven excellent performance. It was found that the proposed IP controllers can provide excellent performance to track the desired torque and speed and to reject the disturbance of load.

Changes in High Degree p-mode Parameters with Magnetic and Flare Activities

  • Solar energetic transients, e.g., flares, CMEs, etc., release large amount of energy which is expected to excite acoustic waves (p-modes) by exerting mechanical impulse of the thermal expansion of the flare on the photosphere. We study the p-mode properties of flaring and dormant active regions (ARs) to find association between flare and p-mode parameters. We compute the magnetic and flare activity indices of ARs using the line-of-sight magnetograms and GOES X-ray fluxes, respectively. The p-mode parameters are computed from the ring-diagram analysis. We correct p-mode parameters for magnetic field, filling factors and foreshortening by multiple linear-regression analysis. Our analysis of several flaring and dormant ARs observed during the Carrington rotations 1980-2109, showed strong association of mode parameters with magnetic and flare activities. We find that the mode parameters are contaminated by the geometrical effect. Mode amplitude decreases with angular distance from the solar disc centre. The mode width increases with magnetic activity while amplitude showed opposite relation due to mode absorption by the sunspot. After correcting modes due to all geometrical effects, magnetic activity and filling factor, we find that the modes amplitude, and mode energy increases with flare energy while width shows opposite relation.
