  • In recent semiconductor manufacturing clean rooms, in order to improve clean room air quality, air washers are used to remove airborne gaseous contaminants such as $NH_3$, SOx and organic gases from outdoor air introduced into clean room. Meanwhile, there is a large quantity of exhaust air from clean room. From the energy saving point of view, heat recovery is useful for the reduction of air conditioning energy consumption for clean room. Therefore it is desirable to recover heat from the exhaust air and use it to reheat the outdoor air. However, so far there have not been sufficient studies of analyzing the comparison of the amounts of energy consumption and saving. In the present study, an experiment was conducted to investigate the energy consumption and heat recovery of a fin-coil type air washer system for semiconductor manufacturing clean rooms.

  • 에너지 절약형 전열제품 개발은 유가상승에 따라 국가의 최대 현안으로 꼽히고 있다. 따라서 최근에는 이러한 문제점들을 대처하기 위해 전기를 이용한 난방장치에 대한 에너지의 효율적 사용측면에서 경제성과 안정성을 높이기 위한 지속적인 연구 연구개발이 이루어지고 있고, 특히 고성능 및 신기능 소재에 대한 기술개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문은 에너지 전달특성이 우수한 전열제품 개발에 관한 것으로 고효율 유도가열 장치에 관한 연구이다. 유도가열은 전자유도현상을 이용한 것으로 기존의 전도나 대류와 같은 열전달 방식과는 전혀 다르게 중간매질이 없이 피가열물에 직접 흡수되어 열로 전환되므로 급속, 균일하게 가열시키는 특징을 가진다. 또한 고주파 유도가열은 다양한 구조 설계가 가능하므로 가열 발열체를 적절히 활용하면 피가열물만을 집중가열 하는 것이 가능하다.

  • Variable-displacement pumps are inherently more efficeint than fixed-displacement pumps under varying loads. Their energy-saving characteristics can be improved by the use of special control. This paper shows the improvement of the system by the use of load-sesing technique.

An Energy Saving Cooperative Communications Protocol without Reducing Spectral Efficiency for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks

  • Spectral efficiency of current two-phase cooperative communications protocols is low since in the second time the relay forwards the same signal received from the source to the destination, the source keeps silent in this time. In this paper, we propose a novel cooperative communications protocol where the signal needed to transmit to the destination is sent in both phases, the source and the relay also transmit different signal to the destination thus no loss of spectral efficiency. This protocol performs signal selection based on log-likelihood ratio (LLR) at relay and maximum likelihood (ML) detection at destination. While existing protocols pay for a worse performance than direct transmission in the low SNR regime which is of special interest in ad hoc networks, ours is better over the whole range of SNR. In addition, the proposal takes advantages of bandwidth efficiency, long delay and interference among many terminals in ad hoc network. Simulation results show that the proposed protocol can significantly save total energy for wireless ad hoc networks.

메탄올-글리세린을 이용한 재흡수 열펌프의 열역학적 모사 연구 (A Study on a Resorption Beat Pump Using Methanol-Glycerine)

  • 냉 난방 수요에서 일어나는 환경오염의 최소화와 화석연료 소비를 감소시키기 위해서 에너지 회수를 개선시키는 것은 필수적이다. 이러한 점에서 흡수식 열펌프기술은 에너지 절약을 위해서 많은 가능성을 가지고 있다. 흡수식 열펌프는 에너지를 주입하지 않고 폐열의 이용을 높일 수 있는 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 에너지 회수를 위한 재흡수 열펌프 연군를 메탄올-글리세린을 이용하여 수행하였다. 이 물질의 열역학 데이터를 이용하여 재흡수 열펌프의 이론적 열효율 값을 각 기관의 조업 조건에 따라서 계산하였다. $70{\sim}80^{\circ}C$의 산업 폐열 온도를 가지고 $40{\sim}50^{\circ}C$ 승온 시킬 때 열효율 값 0.4 이상을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • Railway has recently played an important role in preventing global warming caused by green house gases and furthering a low carbon green growth, The various railway research centers have conducted facilitated studies on saving energy. In particular, urban railway has emerged as the best means of public transportation in terms of punctuality, safety and environmentally friendliness. There are various ways to save energy in terms of operation of urban railway system, and they can be generally divided into hardware aspects that pertain to structure of vehicles and development of control system and software aspects that pertain to effective operation of trains based on operation patterns and diagram control. In this paper, we investigated drive assistance system for railway energy efficiency. The railway operation patterns and train diagram management programs were researched.

  • It is essential to investigate the structure and the main characteristic of Home USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technologies in built ubiquitous environment while designing bio-sensors. For this study, Thermistor elements and Thermopile black body have been selected to implement ubiquitous technologies for bio-sensors and wireless network such as WiBro has been used to transfer sensing data to the BSN (Bio-Sensor Network) gateway. It is certain that efficiency of ubiquitous space design is improved if main components of each specific sensor network are analyzed precisely in digital way and corresponding communication modules are prepared accordingly. Ubiquitous technology, in conclusion, has to be applied not only with systematical mechanism or electronic setting but in human-centered atmosphere as well, keeping with deep consideration for bio-housing service factors in eco-friendly surrounding.

  • Promoting energy-efficient retrofit of existing buildings to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 is critically vital and challenging. The bulk of outdated educational buildings in particular are of grave concern since they are not only have a significant negative impact on the environment but also dangerous to inhabitants'health. This study laid the groundwork for understanding the connection between occupant health and energy efficiency. This study proposes a prioritized strategic GR framework in South Korea's aging preschools. The possible prospects and levels of development in the GR plan are identified by this evaluation. Policy markers, educators, and other key stakeholders may help to create a more sustainable and healthy environment by putting the recommended framework into practice.

  • In case of newly constructed buildings, the construction type is almost Curtain-wall system or large window in building skin. However, these kind of buildings have problems with regulations on building energy efficiency. And national regulations on building energy efficiency limit only the V-factor of window(except infiltration), it is hard to predict energy consumption of Curtain-wall buildings which gain large solar energy in summer. In this study, the influence of LSG(Light to Solar Gain) on energy performance was theoretically analyzed with simulation. LSG is the value of VLT divide SHGC and represents the optical performance of the glass or glazing. The Window & Therm program developed in LBNL was used to analyze window systems and EnergyPlus was used to building energy. Cases of glazing are three types; single coated Low-e clear glazing, tripple coated Low-e clear glazing, tripple coated Low-e tinted glazing. The results of this study are follows; 1) The building energy consumption of Alt-l, 2, 3 were about 300, 253, $259kWh/m^2{\cdot}yr$ respectively. Therefore, improvement of LSG could save the energy up to 16%. 2) The saved energy could be converted 1 billion won as annual benefit of total energy costs 3) SHGC and LSG more influence on cooling energy than heating energy in office buildings.

  • This parer is the among educational environment, lighting's role is more important since it improves the visual tasks, capability of work, and it help to build both balanced mind and body. Also, since students need spend most of their time inside rather than outside, students need appropriate illuminance everyday. If optimum illuminance and distribution of luminance is properties controlled, people can decrease the fatigue of eyes, and also, people can maximize their efficiency of work. This present studying class chose of two school measured illuminance using the computer simulation improved ratio of luminance and luminance by distribution of lighting improve the economy and energy saving.
