  • This paper studies the energy efficiency power allocation for cognitive radio networks based on uplink orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing. The power allocation problem is intended to minimize the maximum energy efficiency measured by "Joule per bit" metric, under total power constraint and robust aggregate mutual interference power constraint. However, the above problem is non-convex. To make it solvable, an equivalent convex optimization problem is derived that can be solved by general fractional programming. Then, a robust energy efficiency power allocation scheme is presented. Simulation results corroborate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

  • MANET is depended on the property as like variable energy, high degree of mobility, location environments of nodes etc. So, in this paper, we propose an algorithm techniques which is TICC (Time Interval Clustering Control) based on energy value in property of each node for solving cluster problem. It provides improving cluster energy efficiency how can being node manage to order each node's energy level. TICC is clustering method. It has shown that Node's energy efficiency and life time are improved in MANET.

  • The importance for energy consumptions has being emphasized because of problems of the energy and environment. Especially, education buildings among public buildings which have being emphasized the application of environment-friendly elements because of large energy consumptions. Accordingly, this study established parameters of green walls and green roofs which have ecological effects and energy savings. And then this study analyzed indoor thermal environments and energy consumptions due to green walls and green roofs through the energy simulation(Visual DOE 4.0) and the actual measurement.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify (1) consumers' energy conservation attitude and behavior and (2) response to the energy conservation policies. For this purpose 1,200 male and female consumers who residents of 6 cities (Seoul, Pusan, Taegu, Kwangju. Taejoen, and Inchon) were surveyed through the standardized questionnares. The major findings were as follows; (1) The level of energy conservation attitude was relatively high and differed significantly according to sex, age, and education, (2) The level of energy conservation behavior was differed significantly according to sex, age, and education. (3) The energy conservation policies which provide consumers with energy saving information and education were more preferred. (4) There energy conservation attitude had the strongest effect on the energy conservation behavior.

  • est19 is a gene from Bacillus sp. K91 that encodes a new esterase. A comparison of the amino acid sequence showed that Est19 has typical Ser-Gly-Asn-His (SGNH) family motifs and could be grouped into the SGNH hydrolase family. The Est19 protein was functionally cloned, and expressed and purified from Escherichia coli BL21(DE3). The enzyme activity was optimal at 60℃ and pH 9.0, and displayed esterase activity towards esters with short-chain acyl esters (C2-C6). A structural model of Est19 was constructed using phospholipase A1 from Streptomyces albidoflavus NA297 as a template. The structure showed an α/β-hydrolase fold and indicated the presence of the typical catalytic triad Ser49-Asp227-His230, which were further investigated by site-directed mutagenesis. To the best of our knowledge, Est19 is a new member of the SGNH hydrolase family identified from thermophiles, which may be applicable in the industrial production of semisynthetic β-lactam antibiotics after modification.

  • This study was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of a nutritional education program conducted by public health center in Jinju city for obese women. The subjects of this study consisted of 27 obese women(BMI $\geq$ 25) aged 35∼55 years in Jinju area, and the educational period was 6 weeks. We evaluated the anthropometric parameters and biochemical indices, dietary habits, dietary behaviors, nutritional attitude of obese women before and after the nutritional education. And also daily intake during the educational period were measured. Weight, obesity index, BMT, waist circumferences and hip circumferences of obese women were significantly decreased(p<0.001) after nutritional education, but changes of WHR, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were not significant. There were no significant difference in total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triglyceride, LDH and blood glucose level in serum before and after the nutritional education, but the indices tend to decrease after the nutritional education. There was significantly different change of dietary behaviors in 3 items among the dietary behavior after the nutritional education. Their dietary habit, dietary behavior and nutritional attitude scores were significantly improved after the nutritional education. Mean daily energy intakes was low compared with the RDA as 78.88%. The average carbohydrates, protein, fat ratio on the energy intakes was 63 : 17 : 20. The proportion of energy intake from snacks the was 12.91${\pm}$6.15%.
