The purpose of all public libraries is to provide knowledge and information services for the intellectual and reading activities of local residents, program services that provide opportunities for cultural enjoyment and lifelong learning, and third-party spaces and facilities that contribute to the development of the community. To this end, social needs must be reflected in a timely manner with the establishment of a sound infrastructure as a prerequisite. This study analyzed the current status centered on key indicators of the public libraries in Daegu City and presented policy issues that need to be improved through a survey. The key indicators in Daegu City, compared to the national average, were not only significantly weak for the 3rd largest city but also showed considerable variation among local governments. While Daegu citizens valued public libraries in their daily lives, the dissatisfaction rate was high in the order of transportation inconvenience, lack of necessary materials and desired programs, and various regulations. Therefore, Daegu City should focus on increasing the acquisition budget, strengthening the development of new book collections, expanding the number of librarians, expanding the construction of public libraries to address service disparities among local governments, improving accessibility, and addressing factors that hinder usage. In addition, with the establishment and operation of the Daegu Library in 2024, efforts should be made to establish an operational system for public libraries, expand the scope through collaborative partnerships with other knowledge and cultural institutions, and enhance knowledge and cultural services for the Daegu citizen.
Students' engagement in lessons not only determines the direction and result of the lessons, but also affects academic achievement and continuity of follow-up learning. In order to provide implications related to teaching strategies for encouraging students' engagement in elementary mathematics lessons, this study implemented lessons for middle-low achieving fifth graders using open-ended tasks and analyzed characteristics of students' engagement in the light of the framework descripors developed based on previous research. As a result of the analysis, the students showed behavioral engagement in voluntarily answering teacher's questions or enduring difficulties and performing tasks until the end, emotional engagement in actively expressing their pleasure by clapping, standing up and the feelings with regard to the topics of lessons and the tasks, cognitive engagement in using real-life examples or their prior knowledge to solve the tasks, and social engagement in helping friends, telling their ideas to others and asking for friends' opinions to create collaborative ideas. This result suggested that lessons using open-ended tasks could encourage elementary students' engagement. In addition, this research presented the potential significance of teacher's support and positive feedback to students' responses, teaching methods of group activities and discussions, strategies of presenting tasks such as the board game while implementing the lessons using open-ended tasks.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of mathematics journals of elementary school students and to understand how they change in mathematics journals as the grade goes up, and to obtain implications in mathematics education. To this end, 170 of the 222 parish mathematics data submitted to the "Math Journal Contest" were analyzed with the consent of both minors and their parents. As for the framework for analyzing math journal types, 12 types were derived through independent analysis between three researchers. The research results showed that first, the type of math journal written by elementary school students is a variety of journals, such as observation, problem making, concept organization, and review. In addition, as a learning area, it was found that math journal showed a noticeable increase in experimental observation, problem making, and concept journal as the grades progressed, while a small number of idea journal and explanatory journals appeared. However, game (winning) strategy building and types declined. It can be seen that this is evolving from a type that requires activity-oriented or simple descriptions to a type that actively applies mathematical concepts. As such, there are 12-type of math journals, but it is necessary to actively use the teaching materials in writing that can be freely expressed in the school setting.
In recent years, ransomware attacks have become more organized and specialized, with the sophistication of attacks targeting specific individuals or organizations using tactics such as social engineering, spear phishing, and even machine learning, some operating as business models. In order to effectively respond to this, various researches and solutions are being developed and operated to detect and prevent attacks before they cause serious damage. In particular, honeypots can be used to minimize the risk of attack on IT systems and networks, as well as act as an early warning and advanced security monitoring tool, but in cases where ransomware does not have priority access to the decoy file, or bypasses it completely. has a disadvantage that effective ransomware response is limited. In this paper, this honeypot is optimized for the user environment to create a reliable real-time dynamic honeypot file, minimizing the possibility of an attacker bypassing the honeypot, and increasing the detection rate by preventing the attacker from recognizing that it is a honeypot file. To this end, four models, including a basic data collection model for dynamic honeypot generation, were designed (basic data collection model / user-defined model / sample statistical model / experience accumulation model), and their validity was verified.

The amount of radioactive waste is expected to dramatically increase with decommissioning of nuclear power plants such as Kori-1, the first nuclear power plant in South Korea. Accurate nuclide analysis is necessary to manage the radioactive wastes safely, but research on verification of radionuclide analysis has yet to be well established. This study aimed to develop the technology that can verify the results of radionuclide analysis based on artificial intelligence. In this study, we propose an anomaly detection algorithm for inspecting the analysis error of radionuclide. We used the data from 'Updated Scaling Factors in Low-Level Radwaste' (NP-5077) published by EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute), and resampling was performed using SMOTE (Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique) algorithm to augment data. 149,676 augmented data with SMOTE algorithm was used to train the artificial neural networks (classification and anomaly detection networks). 324 NP-5077 report data verified the performance of networks. The anomaly detection algorithm of radionuclide analysis was divided into two modules that detect a case where radioactive waste was incorrectly classified or discriminate an abnormal data such as loss of data or incorrectly written data. The classification network was constructed using the fully connected layer, and the anomaly detection network was composed of the encoder and decoder. The latter was operated by loading the latent vector from the end layer of the classification network. This study conducted exploratory data analysis (i.e., statistics, histogram, correlation, covariance, PCA, k-mean clustering, DBSCAN). As a result of analyzing the data, it is complicated to distinguish the type of radioactive waste because data distribution overlapped each other. In spite of these complexities, our algorithm based on deep learning can distinguish abnormal data from normal data. Radionuclide analysis was verified using our anomaly detection algorithm, and meaningful results were obtained.

The present investigation is concerned chiefly with new curriculum development at the Department of Mechanical System & Design Engineering at Hongik University with the aim of enhancing creativity, team working and communication capability which modern engineering education is emphasizing on. 'Mechanical System & Design Engineering' department equipped with new curriculum emphasizing engineering design is new name for mechanical engineering department in Hongik University. To meet radically changing environment and demands of industries toward engineering education, the department has shifted its focus from analog-based and machine-centered hard approach to digital-based and human-centered soft approach. Three new programs of Introduction to Mechanical System & Design Engineering, Creative Engineering Design and Product Design emphasize hands-on experiences through project-based team working. Sketch model and prototype making process is strongly emphasized and cardboard, poly styrene foam and foam core plate are provided as working material instead of traditional hard engineering material such as metals material because these three programs focus more on creative idea generation and dynamic communication among team members rather than the end results. With generative, visual and concrete experiences that can compensate existing engineering classes with traditional focus on analytic, mathematical and reasoning, hands-on experiences can play a significant role for engineering students to develop creative thinking and engineering sense needed to face ill-defined real-world design problems they are expected to encounter upon graduation.
Purpose: This study aimed to explore the relations between class distracting factors and class satisfaction of the dental technology students and then provide a primary data to help further related studies and develop educational programs with which instructors can efficiently manage their classroom. Methods: For this study we have conducted a survey started from the beginning of May 2017 to the end of June. The subjects of the survey were Dental Technology students of D-city, K-city, W-city, selected by random sampling method. The questionnaire was self-administrated and 437 valid results were chosen for our analysis among 450 distributed questionnaires. Results: The results of the research was as follows. Firstly, The overall average point of class distracting factors was 2.5 point. The environmental factors were the highest point as 2.59 and as for the subcategories tiredness and drowsiness was the highest point as 2.76. Secondly, The overall average point of class satisfaction turned out 3,88 point and compliance with class and attitude factors gained the highest point as 4.06. Of the subcategories strict roll checking was the highest point as 4.17. Thirdly, As for class distracting factors from general characteristics a statistical significance was shown as follows; 'instructor factor'(p<.01), 'learner factor'(p<.05), 'total class distracting factor'(p<.05) in the area of gender, 'environmental factor'(p<.001), 'total class distracting factor'(p<.01), 'learner factor'(p<.05), 'instructor factor'(p<.05) in the area of gender 'learner factor'(p<.001), 'instructor factor'(p<.001), 'environmental factor'(p<.001), 'total class distracting factor'(p<.01) in the area of class grade, 'environmental factor'(p<.05) in GPA. Fourthly, A statistical significance, a negative correlation (p<.01) were shown between class distracting factors and class satisfaction. Class distracting factor that especially affects the class satisfaction was instructor factor(p<.001) and the explanatory power of the model turned out 14.7%, which was statistically meaningful (p<.001). Conclusion : Results of this study reveal that instructor factor is the key to class satisfaction of the students. So it is crucial that the instructor faithfully prepare for the class to reinforce the students' learning. Additionally further studies should be followed with more subjects and newer perspectives to develop innovative teaching methodology.

In this study, we analyzed how the content and achievement criteria of the Geometry domain of Korean elementary school mathematics curriculum have changed. To this end, based on the analysis framework based on the 2015 revised curriculum, the achievement standards for each period were classified into continuous, extinct, and additional types, and their characteristics were examined. In the domain of Geometry, continuous achievement standards accounted for 51% of the total, and there were many achievement standards that remained unchanged in grade and domain. The extinctive achievement standard is 20.4% of the total, and the mathematics contents that were rapidly introduced due to the modernization of mathematics in the 3rd curriculum were eliminated the most from the 4th curriculum, and after the 7th curriculum, With the introduction of staged curriculum and the system of school year group, the contents of learning were either integrated or moved to middle school. The additional achievement standard was 28.6% of the total, and the achievement standard was added the most with the introduction of spatial sensory development in the 7th curriculum. The GAct that the additivel achievement standard is more than the extinction achievement standard in the Geometry domain is the result of the efforts to actively introduce the geometric contents appropriate to the times despite the great flow of curriculum revision of the curriculum reduction. It is hoped that the results of these studies will be used as basic data in the formation of new achievement standards in future curriculum development.

This study aimed to investigate the anti-amnesic effect of perilla oil against trimethyltin (TMT)-induced learning and memory impairment in ICR mice. Perilla oil (2.5 mL/kg of body weight) and soybean oil (2.5 mL/kg of body weight) were administered orally to mice for 3 weeks, and at the end of the experimental period, cognitive behavior was examined by Y-maze and Morris water maze (MWM) tests. Behavioral tests showed that the mice treated with perilla oil had improved cognitive function compared to that in mice administered soybean oil. Analysis of brain tissue showed that perilla oil significantly lowered acetylcholinesterase activity and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels. Oxidized glutathione (GSH)-to-total GSH ratio also decreased from 10.4% to 5.3% in perilla oil-treated mice, but superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity increased from 11.7 to 14.2 U/mg protein. Therefore, these results suggest that the perilla oil could be a potential functional substance for improving cognitive function.
${\alpha}$-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazole propionate (AMPA) receptors are widespread throughout the central nervous system and appear to serve as synaptic receptors for fast excitatory synaptic transmission mediated by glutamate. Their modulation is believed to affect learning and memory. To identify the interaction proteins for the AMPA receptor subunit glutamate receptor-interacting protein 1 (GRIPl), GRIP1 interactions with armadillo family protein p0071/plakophilin-4 were investigated. GRIP1 protein bound to the tail region of p0071/plakophilin-4 but not to other armadillo family protein members in a yeast two-hybrid assay. The "S-X-V" motif at the carboxyl (C)-terminal end of p0071/plakophilin-4 is essential for interaction with GRIP1. p0071/plakophilin-4 interacted with the Postsynaptic density-95/Discs large/Zona occludens-1 (PDZ) domains of GRIPI in the yeast two-hybrid assay, as is indicated also by Glutathione S-transferase (GST) pull-down, and co-immunoprecipitated with GRIP1 antibody in brain fraction. The findings of this study provide evidence that p0071/plakophilin-4 is an interactor of GRIP1.
