In this paper, as long as it is by logistics cost except empty driving if reverse logistics happens in distribution channel progressing, logistics reverse logistics' hidden cost through model that do minimization profit of logistics to look for plan that can do maximization try. Finally, is based on dual of distribution cost and profit of logistics and reverse logistics and achieves Pull, optimal system modeling that use Push system and gropes method of effective logistics cost.

A Study on the Effects of Flexible Operation of Imported Grain Transportation Vehicles on Logistics Costs by Considering Empty Transfer Rates (공차율을 고려한 유연한 수입곡물 화물차운영이 물류비용에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzed regular transportation costs between port warehouses and processing plants and between processing plants and central distribution centers and further transportation costs relations according to empty transfer rates in each circulation by examining the distribution routes of imported grain including wheat, barley, corn, and soybean, namely port warehouses, processing plants, and central distribution centers. Based on the results, the study compared and reviewed the logistics transportation costs. The analysis results of the alternative model show that logistics operational costs could be considerably cut down by introducing a flexible vehicle transportation operational method, which is to change the vehicle loading parts for proper substitute transportation after unloading and transport them to other locations such as central distribution centers instead of returning empty, as an alternative to high operational costs deriving from empty vehicle operation in each circulation after unloading items in case of transportation of imported grain and processed items. The results allow for a more realistic approach to general problems with large-scale distribution network operation and provide a theoretical foundation to serve as a guide to establish policies for corporate operation of imported grain logistics systems.

  • Varing the flow velocity of solution and particle diameter, the mass transfer coefficient of the local electrode on current feeder has been measured in an empty flow reactor, an inert fluidized bed electrode reactor, and an active fluidized bed electrode reactor. It had its maximium value when the bed porosity was 0.6 to 0.65 and decreased with in- creasing the height of local electrode. The mass transfer coefficient was found to be high especially when higher particle was fluidized. Electrochemical deposition of copper dissolved in the synthesized wastewater has been performed in the active fluidized bed electrode reactor. The deduction rate was higher than 90% and the residual concentration of copper decreased to less than 5ppm.

  • SCM 경쟁력 재고는 기업 내의 부문별 또는 개별기업 내부의 한정된 개선 노력이 외부의 부문 또는 기업에서의 활동과 연계되어 전체의 최적화가 되지 않으면 그 성과가 극히 제한적일 수 밖에 없다. 따라서 히든 코스트(hidden cost)의 발견 및 유통물류의 최적화에 박차를 가하는 것이 현실이다. 본 연구는 순 물류로 진행한 유통 경로 상에서 만약 역 물류가 발생할 경우 순물류 비용이외 공차(empty driving)로 인한 역물류의 히든 코스트를 최소화하는 모형을 통해 물류이익을 최대화 할 수 있는 방안을 찾기 위해 노력하며 결국 순물류와 역물류상의 유통상의 비용과 이익의 쌍대성에 기초하여 Pull, Push 시스템을 이용한 최적 시스템 모델화를 수행하여 효율적인 물류비용 산정의 방법을 모색한다.

  • Steam reformer was organized with steam reforming process and CO removing process. The steam reforming process needed high temperature, 600~900 $^{\circ}C$, for catalytic-reaction which was extract of hydrogen from steam and hydrocarbon. The effects of the evaporator configuration on its heat transfer characteristics were investigated both experimentally and numerically to pursue the miniaturization. In this study, three configurations were considered where the different structures were tested; empty, embossing and mesh filled. For the comparison of heat transfer performance of shape evaporator disk, numerical analysis using SC-Tetra code and experiment were carried out. In case of reformer system design, it should be considered heat transfer rate, differential pressure and fluid flow direction.

The Inactivation Effects of UV Light on Bacteriophage f2 (박테리오파지 f2에 대한 자외광선의 살균효과)

  • The effects of ultraviolet light on bacteriophage f2 were investigated to determine the inactivation kinetics and its mechanism. The 260nm light showed a little higher inactivation rate than the one of 300 nm. In this work, our main concern was whether structural and/or conformational changes in the protein capsid could occur by UV irradiation. The inactivation for the first 20 minutes irradiation was rapid with a loss of about 4 logs and followed by a slower rate during the next 40 minutes with no survival noted in the samples irradiated for 90 minutes or longer. The structural change of the protein capsid was examined by optical spectroscopic techniques and electron microscopy. The absorption spectra of the UV irradiated phages showed no detectable differences in terms of the spectral shape and intensity from the control phage. However, the fluorescence emission spectroscopic data, i.e. 1) fluorescence quenching of tryptophan residues upon irradiation of 300 nm light, 2) enhancement of fluorescence emission of ANS (8-aniline-1-naphthalene sulfonate) bound to the intact phages compared to the one in the UV-treated phages, and 3) decrease of energy transfer efficiency from tryptophan to ANS in the UV-treated samples, presented remarkable differences between the intact and UV-treated phages. Such a structural alteration was also observed by electron microscopy The UV-treated phages appeared to be broken and empty capsids. Therefore, the inactivation of the bacteriophage f2 by UV irradiation is thought to be attributed to the structural change in the protein capsid as well as damage in the viral RNA by UV irradiation.

Impact of playout buffer dynamics on the QoE of wireless adaptive HTTP progressive video

  • The quality of experience (QoE) of video streaming is degraded by playback interruptions, which can be mitigated by the playout buffers of end users. To analyze the impact of playout buffer dynamics on the QoE of wireless adaptive hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) progressive video, we model the playout buffer as a G/D/1 queue with an arbitrary packet arrival rate and deterministic service time. Because all video packets within a block must be available in the playout buffer before that block is decoded, playback interruption can occur even when the playout buffer is non-empty. We analyze the queue length evolution of the playout buffer using diffusion approximation. Closed-form expressions for user-perceived video quality are derived in terms of the buffering delay, playback duration, and interruption probability for an infinite buffer size, the packet loss probability and re-buffering probability for a finite buffer size. Simulation results verify our theoretical analysis and reveal that the impact of playout buffer dynamics on QoE is content dependent, which can contribute to the design of QoE-driven wireless adaptive HTTP progressive video management.

  • Heat transfer characteristics for heat retrieving processes in a paraffin-filled horizontal circular cylinder was studied. Theoretical and experimental analyses were carried out. In the theoretical analysis, solid and liquid phases were treated separately. Namely, convection for liquid and conduction for solid phase were investigated respectively. The retrieved heat was calculated from the experimentally determined solidified mass. Furthermore, the effects of initial temperature of the liquid and cooling temperature on the heat discharge rate were also studied. In the heat retrieving process, the governing factor for the solidifying rate is the cooling temperature, because most of the liquid sensible heat is rapidly discharged in the initial stage of solidification. Hence heat transfer mechanism during heat retrieving process can be safely considered as conduction. In the cut of frozen paraffin, there showed an empty space in the upper region. It is caused by the temperature drop in the liquid paraffin. While volume shrinkage caused by phase transition was indiscernible. Irrespective of cooling temperature and initial liquid temperature, solidified mass was well-correlated with the product of Fourier number and Stefan number in the solid phase.
