직장인의 음주에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 사무직 직장인을 중심으로 (Factors Influencing Drinking of Employees: Focus on the White Collar Employees)

  • 본 연구는 직장인의 음주 및 음주문제에 영향을 미치는 요인을 밝히기 위해, 사무직 직장인들을 중심으로 그간 여러 연구들의 주요 이론적 근거가 되었던 긴장감소가설과 사회학습이론의 대표적인 요인인 직무스트레스와 음주하위문화가 음주 및 음주문제에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 연구결과는 직장인들의 음주율 및 음주빈도, 음주량, 폭음빈도 및 음주 문제자의 비율 등이 일반 국민에 비해 매우 높아 직장인들의 음주문제가 위험 수준에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 직무스트레스 및 음주하위문화가 음주 및 음주문제에 미치는 영향 및 관계를 살펴본 결과, 직무스트레스와 음주 간의 관계는 유의하지 않았으며, 음주하위문화의 경우 음주 및 음주문제의 각 하위차원 모두에서 유의한 관계 및 영향력이 발견되어 직장인의 음주 및 음주문제에 대한 설명은 사회학습이론이 보다 타당한 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 연구자는 개인 뿐 아니라 환경을 통합한 포괄적 관심의 촉구와 함께 직장인원조프로그램(EAPs)의 도입을 제안하였다.

사업장 건강증진사업의 실태 및 건강증진 프로그램 요구도 (A Survey of Workplace Health Promotion Activities and their Health Promotion Program Need)

  • Purpose: This study attempted to access the health promotion activities and employee's health promotion needs in workplaces. Methods: Subjects were 280 health care managers employed at small to large scale enterprises in national-wide areas of Korea. The instrument was a structured questionnaire included characteristics of workplace and respondents, health promotion activities, health promotion needs, and bottlenecks to operate programs. Data was analyzed using SAS 8.1 by applying $x^2-test$, t-test and ANOVA. Results: 1, 25.4% of the total workplaces employed health care managers. 2. Musculoskeletal management programs(49.6%) were the highest operating program. 3. The highest needs of health promotion programs were lifestyle management and disease prevention. 4. Health promotion activities were significantly different according to the type and size of workplaces. The programs were more frequently applied in manufacturing industries than non-manufacturing and in large-scale enterprises than small and middle-scale enterprises. 5. The needs of health promotion programs were high in non-manufacturing industries than manufacturing industries in all programs. 6. The major bottlenecks to operate programs were the difficulty in securing time, lack of budgets and lack of legal regulations. Conclusions: Health promotion activities were linked to their work environments including budgets, time, and law. Therefore, to operate effective health promotion programs in workplaces, various health promotion programs are required to be developed and systems for governmental support and management should be established.

한국 근로자의 업무관련 불안감 및 우울감 경험에 대한 직장폭력의 영향 (The Influence of Workplace Violence on Work-related Anxiety and Depression Experience among Korean Employees)

  • Purpose: Work-related anxiety and depression are frequent work-related mental health problems. In this study the relationship between workplace violence and work-related anxiety and/or depression among Korean employees was evaluated. Methods: Data were obtained from the Korean Working Condition Survey of 2006. Participants were 9,094 Korean workers aged 15-64 yr. Multiple logistic regression using SAS version 9.1 was used. Results: The incidence of work-related anxiety, work-related depression and workplace violence were 4.5%, 3.5%, and 1.8% respectively. When personal and occupational risk factors were adjusted, workplace violence was significantly associated with work-related anxiety and depression (OR for anxiety: 4.07, CI: 2.62-6.34; OR for depression: 4.60, CI: 2.92-7.25). Work-related anxiety was significantly related to type of employment, working period at present workplace, work time, shift work, job demand, and social support from superiors. Factors influencing work-related depression were gender, education, alcohol consumption, company size, type of employment, working period at present workplace, work time, shift work, and job demand. Conclusion: To promote psychological health in workers there is a need to develop work-related anxiety and depression prevention programs and to decrease in workplace violence. In developing these programs, consideration should be given to personal factors, working conditions, and psychosocial working environments.

일개병원의 환자안전문화 인식도 조사결과 (The results of recognition survey for patient safety culture in a hospital)

  • Objectives: This study measures the level of cognition of employee's patient safety culture and evaluates the current level through comparing the results to external levels. Ultimately it is performed to construct a strategic improvement plan through the basic database for patient's safety culture. Methods: A questionnaire survey of self reporting type was carried out using structured questionnaire of the patient's safety culture for employees currently employed in a hospital. Total responders was 1,129 and a response rate was 54.6%. The survey results were calculated with a percent positive response, and the current level was evaluated by comparing with the survey results of a hospital (2009 and 2014) and the survey result of The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality(2014). Results: Sub-dimension of high percent positive response for each area were 'teamwork within hospital units' (80%), 'feedback & communication about error' (73%) and 'supervisor/manager expectations & actions promoting safety' (67%). Meanwhile, 'teamwork across hospital units' (31%), 'hospital management support for patient safety' (29%), 'staffing' (27%) and 'non-punitive response to error' (17%) were relatively low percent positive response. Compared to the survey results of AHRQ (2014) for each area, 'teamwork within hospital units' (80%), 'feedback & communication about error' (73%), 'frequency of event reporting' (66%) were at the top 50% percentile level and the remaining sub-dimensions showed a very low level in the lower 10% percentile area. Conclusion: In order to establish a system for patient safety culture within the hospital and evaluate the effect on this, it is necessary to periodically evaluate the patient's safety culture and establish regulations on hospital safety culture to comply with this.

임금 근로자의 복리후생 조건과 은퇴계획 수립의 관련성 (The Conditions of Fringe Benefits and Retirement Planning among Paid Workers)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 기업이 제공하는 복리후생의 조건이 예비은퇴자의 은퇴계획 수립에 미치는 영향을 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 2016년 고령화 연구를 이용하였으며, 총 1,470명을 대상으로 하였다. 기업의 복리후생 개수와 은퇴계획 수립의 관계를 분석하기 위하여 다변수 로지스틱 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 복리 후생 수혜 개수뿐만 아니라 연령, 혼인 상태, 거주지, 민간의료보험 가입 여부, 주관적 건강상태가 은퇴계획 수립에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 임금근로자의 성공적인 은퇴계획 수립은 개인과 정부만을 위한 것이 아니라, 이를 통해 기업 또한 근로자의 생산성 향상 및 기업 이미지 제고 등의 이점을 얻을 수 있으므로 제도의 효과적인 시행 및 이를 위해 필요한 정부의 역할 등에 대한 후속 연구가 필요하다.

기혼여성의 자녀특성과 자살생각의 관련성 (Relationship between the Suicidal Ideation of the Married Women and the Characteristics of Their Children)

  • Background: There are some data to support the theory of a protective effect of parenthood against suicide, as proposed by Durkheim in 1897. We conducted this study to examine the relationship between children characteristics and suicidal ideation among Korean married women. Methods: The data were obtained from the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys IV, conducted in 2007-2009, respectively (3,202 married women aged 20-49 years). The children characteristics are the age of the youngest child and the number of children living with subject. Data were analyzed by using logistic regression with SAS 9.2. Results: The risk for suicidal ideation was higher among married women having a young child (aged <7 years). It had strong effect on suicidal ideation in non-employee subjects. The odds ratio for suicidal ideation of women having a youngest child aged 2-3 years compared with reference groups was 1.673 with statistical significance. But the association of suicidal ideation with number of children shows insignificant. Conslusion: The findings suggest a different result with the theory, the protective effect of being a parent of young child on suicide risk for women, first suggested by Durkheim and supported by previous studies and the need for further prospective investigation that lead to policies according children characteristics aimed at improving married women's life.

브라질 상파울루시의 한식당 현황 및 만족도 조사 (A Study of the Current State of Korean Restaurants in São Paulo in Brazil)

  • To find an efficient solution for the globalization of Korean food in Brazil, we conducted a survey about the satisfaction of Brazilian natives who had visited a Korean restaurant, and possible suggestions for improvement. We also conducted indepth interviews with 13 owners of Korean restaurants in Seo Paulo, Brazil, about their plans to improve Korean food to be more appealing to the Brazilian palate. Our research shows that Korean restaurants had a below average reputation for employee kindness, menu taste and variety, interior, mood, and accessibility. As a result of the survey, we found that Korean restaurants were considered in general to be below average. The survey also showed that the higher the level of a person's economic standing, the less satisfaction they had with Korean food restaurants. We also found that the most common pieces of advice that Brazilian women had regarding Korean restaurants were to offer more variety in the menu, maintain a cleaner restaurant, and to actively engage in public relations. The general concerns of everyone surveyed focused on cleanliness and public relations of the restaurant. However, food-related people focused more on the taste and quality of the food. Sao Paulo is currently the most well-developed economic center in South America, so the world's food service industry is pushed to the front of its ongoing development. For Korean food to make inroads into Brazil, Korean restaurants need to change the niche that they occupy. First-generation family businesses and second-generation specialized family businesses coexist in that city. So first of all, to localize the Korean food for Brazilian tastes, a menu system that will easily allow natives to access Korean food must be established. And second of all, it must support the total food culture by improving distribution, sanitation management, and marketing methods that can get the natives to like Korean food ingredients.

Work-related Stress, Caregiver Role, and Depressive Symptoms among Japanese Workers

  • Background: In Japan, more than 60% of employees are reported to suffer from anxiety and stress. Consequently, Japanese society has begun to address such important issues as psychogenic disability and job-related suicide. Furthermore, given the aging of society and the surge in the number of elderly people requiring care, it is necessary to adequately and proactively support employees who care for their elderly relatives. The purpose of the present study was to investigate caregiver burden in caring for elderly relatives and work-related stress factors associated with mental health among employees. Methods: We studied 722 men and women aged 18-83 years in a cross-sectional study. The K10 questionnaire was used to examine mental health status. Results: The proportion of participants with a high K10 score was 15% (n = 106). Having little conversation with their supervisor and/or coworkers significantly increased the risk of depression [odds ratio (OR) 1.8], as did high job overload (OR 2.7) and job dissatisfaction (OR 3.8), compared with employees who frequently conversed with their supervisor and/or coworkers. Caring for elderly relatives as a prominent characteristic of an employee was a significant risk factor for depression (OR 2.1). Conclusion: The present study demonstrated that employees who were caring for elderly relatives were significantly associated with an increased risk of depression. To prevent depressive disorders, it may be important to focus on reducing the work-caregiving role conflict, as well as enhancing employees' job control and better rewarding their efforts in the workplace.

정보지원 업무관련 주요자격증 우선순위 도출에 관한 연구 (A Study on Drawing Priority of Main Certificates related to information support)

  • 본 연구는 시대적 상황의 문제 해소 방안을 모색함에 있다. 특히 최근에 청년실업률 문제는 많은 사회적인 문제를 야기하고 있다. 이러한 문제와 관련성 높은 취업과 관련해서 신입사원의 실무교육비용은 부담으로 작용한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제 해소를 위한 구체적인 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 연구내용에 있어서는 우선 업무접근성이 높은 주요 자격증 도출에 필요한 자료 수집을 위해 자격증을 관장하고 있는 대표기관의 국가직무능력표준(이하 NCS)에 기초한 자료를 분석하고자 한다. 이를 토대로 연구모형 제시와 AHP분석기법을 적용해서 업무접근성이 높은 주요 자격증을 도출하고자 한다. 이는 실무교육비용 절감과 취업에 필요한 자격증을 선별하는데 중요한 판단기준이 되리라 사료됨. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 업무접근성이 높은 자격증 선별을 위한 기본적인 틀과 자격증 취득에 따른 판단근거를 제공함에 있다.

톨게이트 여성근로자들의 직무스트레스가 이직의도에 미치는 영향 :직장-가정갈등의 매개효과를 중심으로 (Impact of Job Stress and Work-Family Conflict among Tollgate Female Workers on Turnover Intention)

  • 톨게이트 여성근로자는 유사 서비스 직종 중에서도 직무스트레스가 가장 높은 직종 중 하나이다. 그러나 이에 대한 실증적 연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 2016년 5월 2일부터 5월 27일까지 할당추출법으로 표집한 톨게이트 여성근로자 183명의 설문조사 결과를 토대로 톨게이트 여성근로자들의 직무스트레스와 이직의도의 관계에서 직장-가정갈등의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 직무스트레스는 이직의도에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으며, 두 변수 사이에서 직장-가정갈등은 부분 매개하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이에 따른 제언으로는 첫째, 톨게이트 여성근로자에 대한 지속적인 조사와 연구 활동이 선행되어 이를 토대로 맞춤형 프로그램의 제안이 필요하고, 둘째, 조직차원의 심리 사회지원 프로그램(근로자지원프로그램: EAP) 도입을 위한 지속적인 노력이 필요하며, 셋째, 톨게이트 여성근로자의 근로환경 개선을 위한 국가 차원의 관심과 지원책이 마련되어야 할 것이다.
