  • In recent years, as more and more middle-aged people who worked at companies are retiring, they are becoming interested in starting their own businesses, and the rate of middle-aged people starting businesses is increasing. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality and satisfaction of educational services and trust in educational institutions in providing entrepreneurship education to prospective entrepreneurs over the age of 40 who want to start a business, and to analyze the impact of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurship in the future. Afterwards, the goal is to establish an education strategy to improve the quality of entrepreneurship education. To achieve the purpose of the study, a hypothesis was established and an empirical analysis was conducted on educated prospective entrepreneurs and retirees over 40 years of age. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that confidence and reliability ultimately influence the factors that increase satisfaction with entrepreneurship education for middle-aged and older people. Satisfaction was found to play a meaningful role in trust. The research points out that entrepreneurship education institutions should provide education centered on the trainees rather than entrepreneurship education centered on support organizations. Moreover, due to the diversity of education, not only the content and method of education but also the education of employees working in supporting organizations is important.

  • This study undertook an empirical analysis to examine the impact of various factors on entrepreneurial intention among young people, with a particular focus on the role of startup mentoring. Employing a survey distributed nationwide, data from 250 valid respondents were subjected to structural equation modeling to investigate these dynamics. The analysis uncovered that workplace stress, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control positively influence the entrepreneurial intentions of youth. Meanwhile, technological constraints negatively affected these intentions. The study did not explore the potential effects of future uncertainty and the burden of failure. Significantly, it was found that startup mentoring plays a crucial role in mitigating the negative impacts that may deter young individuals from pursuing entrepreneurship. Mentoring was instrumental in reducing negative influences, thereby fostering a more conducive environment for entrepreneurial ambition. By integrating the Push-Pull-Mooring (PPM) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) models, this research not only validates these frameworks within the context of youth entrepreneurship but also underscores the essential function of startup mentoring in enhancing entrepreneurial intentions. The insights from this study highlight the importance of mentoring programs in nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among the youth, suggesting that targeted mentoring support can play a pivotal role in overcoming barriers to entrepreneurship.

  • This study analyzed the relationship between the level of the venture environment, the benefits of the venture business verification system, internal capabilities, and management performance through the actual data of domestic venture companies collected in the Venture Business Precision Survey. As a result of the empirical analysis, the level of venture infrastructure did not affect the company's capabilities, but it was found that the venture company confirmation system had a positive effect. In the case of corporate competency, it was found that it had a positive effect on technological performance, but had no effect on sales performance. However, the research results confirmed that internal competency mediates the relationship between the venture environment level and the benefits of the venture business confirmation system and business performance. This study has the implications of confirming a series of processes leading to competency and performance in the environment using data from actual venture companies, and confirming the importance of corporate competency. In addition, since we confirmed the effect of the environmental factors of the venture environment level and the venture business confirmation system on the internal performance, if the process is introduced in the later reorganized venture business confirmation system, we will examine the factors that can enhance the performance of venture businesses. A more precise check is expected.

  • It is important to plan and operate various training programs at the national level to develop librarians' job performance expertise and future-oriented capabilities. The purpose of this study was to examine the possibility of introducing a librarian learning community as an training program at a professional education and training institution and to suggest an appropriate operation method. To this end, research was conducted using the following contents and methods: 1) theoretical discussion on program operation such as the concept, operation stages, and types of a librarian learning community through a review of related literature; 2) exploring the possibility of operating a librarian learning community through pilot operation and derivation of implications, 3) proposal of a librarian learning community operation model. This study reviewed the librarian learning community operating model through participant observation and participant opinion collection during the pilot operation process to minimize confusion in the early stages of implementation, and also presented an operational roadmap and support system for the successful establishment of the program in the future. There is a need to further develop the librarian learning community operating model presented in this study through implementation and empirical analysis over the next several years. However, the results of this study will also be useful as an initial operating model for a learning community for professional education and training in other fields.

  • Soldiers serving in military units and institutions are subject to strict security policies and technologies because they handle sensitive and confidential information related to national security, so they are likely to experience security stress. The purpose of this study is to recognize the need to manage the security stress of military personnel and to suggest management measures. To this end, a literature study was conducted on 12 KCI(Korean Journal Citation Index) journals dealing with security stress. Since 2016, research on security stress has been conducted mainly through empirical analysis through surveys. Studies related to security stress were divided into studies dealing with factors that affect stress, the relationship between security stress and security compliance intentions, and factors that reduce security stress. In particular, it was confirmed that factors such as organizational justice, organizational technical support, and security feedback can alleviate security stress. Next, by applying the results of this literature study to the defense security environment, we presented security stress management measures for military personnel in terms of improving security-related organizational justice awareness, technical support, and security feedback. The significance of this study is that we recognized the need to manage military personnel's security stress and reviewed practical measures related to this.

  • This study aims to identify the factors that affect customer satisfaction as the market growth of rental subscription services for living environment home appliances increases. Unlike previous research, which focused on online subscriptions (e.g., digital content, over-the-top (OTT) services, e-books, and mobile devices), this study expands the scope to include rental subscriptions for household environmental appliances. Specifically, this study analyzes the factors influencing customer satisfaction among rental subscription service users by examining the effects of perceived usefulness, reliability, and convenience. The results show that users' perceived reliability and convenience of rental subscription services for living environment home appliances significantly affect customer satisfaction. Perceived usefulness, however, was not found to have a significant impact, as it is an abstract and subjective customer aspect. The implications of the results are as follows: First, standardized services must be strengthened to increase the reliability of rental subscription services. Additionally, it is necessary to improve convenience by developing additional services when managing regular visits tailored to the characteristics of each product. Providing customized services by integrating products and Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). Furthermore, effective customer management to increase customer satisfaction is crucial, as it can lead to cross-selling and up-selling opportunities. Lastly, venture start-ups should actively apply a subscription service business model.

  • This study investigated the factors influencing the fear of failure in starting a business among the MZ generation(Millennials and Generation Z). The research focused on financial, psychological, and behavioral factors affecting this fear of failure and employed empirical analysis using structural equation model on data collected from 200 members of the MZ generation. Key findings included: Financial factor(lack of accessible finance) significantly increased the fear of startup failure. Psychological factors(aversion to risk and aversion to stress) also significantly contributed to the fear of failure. The influence of behavioral factor(aversion to hard work) on fear of failure was not statistically significant. Among these, aversion to stress had the strongest impact, followed by aversion to risk and lack of accessible finance. Fear of startup failure was found to have a significant negative effect on the intention to start a business among the MZ generation. Furthermore, fear of startup failure mediated the relationship between psychological factors(aversion to risk and aversion to stress) and behavioral factor(aversion to hard work) and entrepreneurial intention. However, the mediating effect between financial factor(lack of accessible finance) and entrepreneurial intention was not tested. These findings contributed academically by offering a more detailed analysis of factors affecting entrepreneurial intentions compared to previous studies. Practically, the results suggested ways to mitigate the fear of failure to enhance the entrepreneurial intentions of the MZ generation.

  • Infrastructure plays a crucial role in the industrial development and economic growth of a nation. However, recently, domestic infrastructure has been causing not only safety risks due to aging but also social and economic inefficiencies, increasing the need for maintenance. In particular, the deterioration rate of bridges is serious, so application of appropriate repair and rehabilitation methods and estimation of its quantity are required. In this study, frequently applied repair methods for bridges using data from the Facility Integrated Management System (FMS) were identified. the empirical correlation between damage volume and the repair volume was analyzed using Bridge Management System (BMS) data. The result of the analysis showed that the ratio of the repair volume to the damage volume was 1.0. The guideline, on the other hand, suggest 1.5 the ratio of the repair volume to the damage volume. Although the guidelines differently present more conservative figures considering safety, this study is significant in that it presents a practical ratio through data analysis results. This results can be used to develop a model that can calculate the amount of repair and rehabilitation of various facilities in the future.

  • The purpose of this study sought to examine the mediating effect of social support in the relationship between adolescents' family strength and school life adjustment. For this purpose, a survey was conducted from May 2023 to June 2023 on youth attending middle and high schools in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, and statistical analysis was performed on the data of 768 people without missing data using SPSS 21.0 program. The results of this study were as follows. First, the family strength perceived by adolescents was found to have a significant positive effect on school life adaptation. Second, the family strength perceived by adolescents was found to have a significant positive effect on social support. Third, social support was found to have a positive and significant effect on school life adaptation. Fourth, social support showed a partial mediating effect in the relationship between adolescents' perceived family strength and school life adjustment. These research results have implications in that they provide empirical evidence to help adolescents adapt well to school life based on healthy family relationships. In addition, we hope that this will serve as a practical basis for the use of parent education programs and family counseling programs that help adolescents adapt well to school life by eliciting social support through positive family functions at home.
