Purpose - This paper analyzes the effect of factors affecting the depression of immigrant labor by the exploratory multivariate model empirically. Design/Methodology/Approach - We review results of precedent studies theoretically and implement empirical study by using the questionnaire data of Myanmar male immigrant labor. Findings - As the result of empirical study, the factor affecting the depression of immigrant labor significantly at p<0.5 level are 'interpersonal trouble in company', 'unjust wage' and 'bottleneck to life'. Also 'unjust treatment' and 'anxiety(of health)' are affecting factors significantly at p<0.1. Research Implications - Managerial implications are as follow. Firstly, employers have to reduce 'interpersonal trouble in company', 'unjust wage' and 'unjust treatment'. Secondly, gonernment have to support to reduce 'bottleneck to life' and 'anxiety(of health)'. Academic implications are as follow. Firstly, factors that are studied exploratively have to be tested by systematic empirical study. Secondly, which of short-term, lagged or cumulative is the nature of the affecting effect and the reciprocal relationship between depression and factors affecting the depression has to be studied empirically.

Objectives: According to the Korea Education Development Institute, the college admission quota is expected to exceed the number of high school graduates, leading to an anticipated expansion in the gap between them. This paper aims to conduct an empirical analysis of the variables previously studied, with a specific focus on the admission competition rate for the department of dental hygiene. Methods: The research methodology is the multiple linear regression analysis. The research data contains the structured data from academy information, and the web-based unstructured data collected over the past 3 years. Results: After conducting the analysis, it was newly discovered that the university's online recognition and its location in the metropolitan area were statistically significant factors influencing the admission competition rate for the department of dental hygiene. Conclusions: The findings of this study are expected to be helpful in formulating admission strategies for universities to attract new students and identifying the factors that influence student attraction.

The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of airport staff's attachment and participation to Incheon International Airport on satisfaction through mediating effects of development support and negative perception. This paper surveyed airline staff who worked at airport and conducted an empirical analysis based on survey results. This is because the effect of community members' attachment on satisfaction has been reviewed quite substantially. However, there has been insufficient research on the effect of attachment and participation on satisfaction through mediating effects of development support and emotional perception. According to empirical analysis, it was found that the participation of airport staff had a significant positive effect on satisfaction. In addition, support for development projects has also been proven to have a mediating effect. Following the empirical research results, this paper suggested implications for the 5^th development project at Incheon International Airport.

Based on the perspective of international trade and cross-border e-commerce development, this paper explores the impact of cross-border e-commerce on international trade. This paper first describes the current situation of China's cross-border e-commerce and proposes a theoretical model of the influence of China's cross-border e-commerce on its international trade based on the research and summary of a large number of relevant documents. This paper establishes an extended gravity model based on the proposed theoretical model. Relevant data of 13 trading partner countries were used as sample data, and OLS regression analysis and heterogeneity analysis were conducted on gravity model by using Eviews 11.0. Then, in order to study the influence of each variable on import and export trade volume, import and export trade volume were respectively taken as explained variables and further studied by OLS regression analysis. To test the robustness of the model, the empirical analysis results show that cross-border e-commerce does promote the volume of China's international trade.

The correlations for the prediction of maximum liquid-phase penetration in diesel spray are reviewed in this study. The existing models developed for the prediction of maximum liquid-phase penetration can be categorized as the zero-dimensional (empirical) model, the multi-dimensional model and the other model. The existing zero-dimensional model can be classified into four groups and the existing multidimensional models can be classified into three groups. The other model includes holistic hydraulic and spray model. The maximum liquid-phase penetration is mainly affected by nozzle diameter, fuel volatility, injection pressure, ambient gas pressure, ambient gas density and fuel temperature. In the case of empirical correlations incorporated with spray angle, the predicted results will be different according to the selection of correlation for spray angle. The research for the effect of boiling point temperatures on maximum liquid-phase penetration is required. In the case of multidimensional model, there exist problems of the grid and spray sub-models dependency effects.

In this study, we propose an alternative method for discriminant analysis using a multivariate empirical distribution function to express multivariate data as a simple one-dimensional statistic. This method turns to be the estimation process of the optimal threshold based on classification accuracy measures and an empirical distribution function of data composed of classes. This can also be visually represented on a two-dimensional plane and discussed with some measures in ROC curves, surfaces, and manifolds. In order to explore the usefulness of this method for discriminant analysis in the study, we conducted comparisons between the proposed method and the existing methods through simulations and illustrative examples. It is found that the proposed method may have better performances for some cases.

This study aims to present the effects of the introduction of the Compliance Program in Korea on real trade and its implication by empirical analysis. First, through regression analysis based on the data of the amount of permitted export by CP items (HSK10 units) during the period of 2010-2016 in Korea, it is revealed that the increase in export license of CP enterprises has a relatively greater effect on the increase in total imports by item. Second, since the introduction of the rating system under the optional CP in 2014, the increase in export licenses of CP companies has had a greater impact on the total export growth by items than before. Also, it is analyzed that the increase of export permission of CP companies has a relatively less effect on the increase of total imports by item than that of total exports. The results of this empirical analysis show that CP has a positive effect on exports and imports, but it needs to be supplemented in terms of efficiency.
