본 연구의 목적은 전문직 자아개념과 감정노동이 이직의도에 미치는 영향을 고찰해보는 것으로서, 감정 노동 상황에 노출되며 전문직 자아개념의 강하게 작용하고 있는 여성아동병원 간호사 대상으로 실증분석을 하였다. 분석결과 전문직자아개념과 감정노동간의 관계에서는 전문직자아개념의 구성요소 중 업무만족감만 감정노동과 통계적으로 유의한 결과로 나타났다. 전문직 자아개념과 이직의도간의 관계에서는 전문직 실무 업무에 대한 자부심과 업무만족감이 이직의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 감정노동과 이직 의도간의 관계에서는 감정노동중 표면행위만 이직의도에 정의관계로 유의하게 나타났다. 연구 결과를 토대로, 여성아동병원 간호사처럼 전문성을 지니며 감정노동이 강한 조직구성원의 이직의도를 낮추기 위해서는 전문가로서의 자부심이 강한만큼 전문가로서의 인정 및 업무만족감을 높이기 위한 조직관리방안이 모색되어야 하며, 감정노동의 내면화나 표면행위에 따른 부정성 해소 방안이 적용되어야 할 것이다.
Concept analysis is a formal linguistic exercise to determine certain defining attributes. The basic purpose of concept analysis is to clarify ambiguous concepts in a theory, and to propose a precise operational definition which reflects its theoretical base (Walker, 1983, 27~28). In later life, elderly people are faced with various psychological problems such as depression, and lowered self-esteem for these psychological problems of the elderly. Reminiscence has been studied as an effective therapeutic measure by gerontologists and psychologists. It is considered to have potential as an effective nursing intervention with geriatric clients. The purpose of this paper was to explore the feasibility of adopting reminiscence as a nursing intervention through analysis of the concept. The concept can be defined as follows : Reminiscence is thinking and talking about one's past with or without a specific purpose. It is a composite mental process which involves psychological, emotional, and social interactional aspects. The defining attributes of reminiscence are : 1. Thinking about past experiences which are meaningful to oneself. 2. It includes the emotional aspect of past experiences. 3. It occurs with or without specific purposes. 4. It is communicated to others by means of language and the subject has the feeling of being heard. In regard to the consequences of reminiscence, it is expected to contribute to psychological adaptation by providing a sense of self-fulfillment and self-achievement, promoting the discovery of the meaning of life, decreasing depression, and overcoming guilt feelings and conflict about one's past. However, if the past is regarded as a total failure, it may be harmful to the psychological well-being of the subject.
The purpose of this study were to investigate the current problems of family in adolescents' college entrance examination and to propose the practical alternatives about effective overcoming strategies. To study these objectives two kinds of sample and questionnaire were selected and the data were obtained through 360 parent-child pairs and 802 college preparatory institute students living in Seoul Taejon and kwangju. The major findings were as follow: 1. Educational achievements were affected by adolescents' personal traits as achievement need self-regulation emotional stability and self-concept but parents ' over-aspirations were negative agent for stress coping. 2. Parent-adolescent intimate and self-regulated relationships were positive factors for achievement and educational self-concept. Also adolecsents' educational aspirations were more significantly affected by parents' emotional supports. 3. Family stress were mediated by parent-child conflict so satisfied parent-child relationships can protect serious stressors as examination problems. Especially father-related factors were importantly revealed. In conclusion adolescent family and society must develop coping methods individually and cooperatively through family life education systematic policy and educational reformation.
A concept is a building block of a theory. The purpose of a concept analysis is to clarify the critical attributes of a concept and identify its real meaning, particularly if the concept is not understood in a clear and accurate manner. This study was conducted to analyze the concept of support, which has been adopted from another discipline and unclearly used in nursing science. For concept analysis of this study, Walker and Avant's method was used. Support is defined as a domain with emotional. informational. material and evaluative aspects. Critical attributes of the concept of support included (1) an experience of support between a support provider and a client, (2) communication, (3) a relationship of mutual interchange of emotional, informational, material, evaluative support, and (4) intention, Cases related to the concept of support included model cases and appendix cases (against. boundary, and related). Antecedents of support were anxiety, depression, and loss of self-esteem, and consequences of support were comfort, increase of self-esteem, and trust. Based on these results, a nursing intervention that can provide a better quality of life for the prevention of diseases, health management, and health promotion may be developed in the future.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting resilience in nursing students. Methods: A survey was conducted with 200 nursing students at a college and a university in P city and K city. Data were collected from March 1 to 20, 2017, and analyzed with SPSS PASW 22.0. Results: In the hierarchical analysis, factors affecting resilience were emotional intelligence (${\beta}=.39$, p<.001), psychological well-being (${\beta}=.31$, p<.001), and self-esteem (${\beta}=.16$, p=.010). The variable that had the highest impact was emotional intelligence and the explanation power of the regression model was 65%(F=34.40 p<.001). Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that emotional intelligence, psychological well-being, and self-esteem are essential for resilience in nursing students. Thus, enhancing emotional intelligence and psychological well-being would be an effective strategy to improve resilience in nursing students.
The purpose of this study was to investigate physical self concept between high school boys and girls and to find various factors affecting them. For the Survey, 331 respondents for boys and 347 for girls were randomly selected from one coeducational high school in Seoul, from May 16 to May 19, 1990. The instrument used in this questionaire survey method was a part of Won Shik Jung's Physical Self Concept Scale for measuring Self Concept, it's reliability was' Cronbach a = 0.718. For the analysis. descriptive statistics were used by calculating frequencies, percentages and mean scores. $X^2-test$, t-test, and analysis of variance were employed to test the differences and statistical significance. The relationship between physical self concept and area variables was analysed by use of Pearson's correlation coiefficients. For the examine of various factors affecting physical self concept, multiple stepwise regression method was employed. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. There was no significant difference in physical self concept between male and female students. 2. The scores of physical self concept among the students were negatively correlated with their academic year, even though statistical signification was not found. 3. Physical self concept was classified into two areas; health area and appearance area. There was no significant difference in health area between boys and girls. But, the difference of health area was significant in accordance with the academic years. That, the scores of the health area are dropped as academic year going up. 4. Significant relationship was revealed among health area, appearance area, and physical self concept. The correlation between health area and physical self concept was the highest relationship (r = 0.71) The main factors affecting the physical self concept were (1) father's educational background (2) year (3) number of brother (4) religion (5) father's age. 5. As academic year going up, the rate of counseling with parents are dropped. In conclusion, the result of the study indicate that, a person managed the school health and parents can help students to promote their physical, mental, and emotional health by means of health education and counseling.
Recently, the rate of cesarean section in Korea has been increasing. The results of several previous studies in foreign countries on the emotional responses of cesarean section mothers showed that they might experience difficulties in the mother- infant interaction due to fatigue, lack of early mother - infant interaction, disappointments, anger, feelings of loss of control, and other factors. Human behavior is said to be determined by one's self concept, and self concept is influenced by both internal and external environmental factors. A scale to measure the self concept of cesarean section mothers was needed in order to identify those who might have difficulties in the mother- infant interactions in future. The purposes of this study were to develop a measuring scale, and to test its reliability and validity. The process of this study was as follows. A structured interview was done with 50 cesarean section and vaginal delivery mothers to find their state of emotional reaction after giving birth to their babies. Based on the results of the interviews, a 50 items Likert scale was developed. The self concept of 268 cesarean section and vaginal delivery mothers who were hospitalized at six hospital in seoul were measured, during the period between Feb. 1 and April 30. Reviewing the discriminating power of each item by means of crosstabulation, ten items were selected for the final scale. The reliability and validity of this ten item scale were tested by Cronbach's alpha and t-test, using spss pc+package. The results of this study and recommendation are as follows. 1. The ten selected items were as follows. I feel pains in my breast. (-) I have a good appetite now. (+) I feel pains in my flank. (-) I feel fine now. (+) My body seems to have returned to its prepregnant state. (+) Thinking of the delivery process, I feel sorry. (-) I want to hold my baby in my arms. The reliability of this scale was tested by Cronbach's alpha, and the coefficient of this scale was .8066. 3. The construct validity of this scale was tested by means of known group methods. The value of self concept for cesarean section mother was significantly lower than for vaginal delivery mothers(t=-5.51, df=266, p=0.007). 4. The criterion validity of this scale was tested indirectly. Though this scale could discriminate the differences in the self concept between cesarean section and vaginal delivery mothers, the five items on the personal self concept scale didn's show any differences between cesarean section and vaginal delivery mothers. Therefore, the study indicates that those who shows lower values in the personal self concept measurement, that is, lower than 12.03 points, could be regaled as “risk mothers” 5. Further studies using this scale to clarify the influencing factors on negative self concept are strongly recommended.
The purpose of the study was to analyze the purchasing status of luxury brand counterfeit goods of female college students, and to investigate the influence of students' social self-concept on their attitude towards luxury counterfeit products. The study was implemented by a descriptive survey method using a self-administerd questionnaire. The sample consisted of 224 female college students residing in Seoul and Busan. The data were analysed through frequency, factor analysis, and regression analysis. The results were as follows. First, it was observed that 42.40% of the respondents have had the experience of purchasing counterfeit items. The major reasons for purchasing counterfeit goods, it was discovered, were not only the low price but also their perceived good quality. Among the reasons for not purchasing counterfeit products, the emotional reason was more significant than the intellectual reason. Second, female college students' social self-concept was found to have an influence on their social negative attitudes towards luxury brand counterfeits. Third, it was found that the social self concept was closely related to the satisfaction with the counterfeit purchases. Fourth, it was discovered that the social self-concept of the students significantly affected the intention to repurchase.
Purpose - This study aimed to (a) investigate the effects of emotional intelligence on customer orientation, (b) examine the impact of customer orientation on customer relationship management (CRM) performance (including CRM-related variables such as 'relationship commitment,' 'image of corporation,' and 'customer loyalty'), and (c) identify the conceptual framework of emotional intelligence. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected using a questionnaire given to a sample of employees of luxury hotels in the metropolitan area. To test the hypotheses, AMOS were conducted for the 271 respondents of the sample using the SPSS Win 17.0 software. The concept of emotional intelligence (EI) has been on the radar of many leaders and managers over the past few decades. Emotional intelligence is generally accepted to be a combination of emotional and interpersonal competencies that influence behavior, thoughts, and interactions with others. Emotional intelligence consists of four factors: understanding the self's emotion, understanding other people's emotions, emotion utilization, and emotion control. Results - As a result of the analysis, three factors (understanding the self's emotion, understanding of other people's emotions, and emotion utilization) were shown to have a significant effect on customer orientation. Emotion control had an insignificant effect on customer orientation. Only emotion control makes it difficult to solve customers' problems because it is a passive behavior. In order to solve the customers' problems, hotel employees have to show a positive attitude. Second, customer orientation had a significant effect on customer relationship management performance (customer relationship commitment, corporate image, and customer loyalty). In other words, customer orientation increases commitment to customer relationships. For example, employees who have a customer-orientated perspective provide good service to their customers, while employees who don't have a customer-orientated perspective can't satisfy their customers. Customer orientation can also generate a good image among customers, because they evaluate the image of a hotel through the behavior of hotel employees. So it is very important for employees to show excellent customer orientation. Conclusions - It is very important for hotel CEOs to manage their employees' emotional intelligence. In order to increase their employees' emotional intelligence abilities, CEOs have to manage the overall corporate culture and reward programs to achieve what they want. Purpose - In recent years, management scholars have expressed growing interest in the concept of person-Job fit because of having many benefits for employees' attitudes and behaviors. The related research is needed to determine what specific types of fit are related to each other, and to get important individual outcomes. Person-job fit of employees in service organization plays an important role in company as well as person in service industry. Person-job fit, representing the consistency between person (service provider) and job (service provided to the customers), gives significant and positive effects on the attitude and behavior of service provider. On the basis of the study background, the purpose of this study is as follows. First, we would like to examine the effects of person-job fit of service provider on their emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is divided into four sub-factors such as self-understanding, understanding others, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation. Second, we would like to identify the relationships between job satisfaction and sub-factors such as self-understanding, understanding others, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation. Research design, data, and methodology - We performed structural equation model using Spss 18.0 and Amos 20.0 in order to verify the hypotheses. Subjects were golf service assistants who were high-touching service with high degree in interaction and long contact time with customers. 178 out of the total 200 surveys were used in evaluation from helpers of golf service working as full-time service provider after selecting two locations of golf course located near Busan. From the evaluation of reliability and validity with variables used in this research, they satisfied and confirmed certain standard. Results - The results are as follows. First, as the results of identifying the relationships between person-job fit and emotional intelligence of service provider, person-job fit did not have positive and significant effect on self-understanding. On the other hand, it affected positively and significantly other factors in emotional intelligence such as emotion to others, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation. Second, as the results of identifying the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction, sub-factors in emotional intelligence such as emotion to others, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation except self-emotion affected significantly and positively job satisfaction. However, self-emotion did not have significant and positive effects on job satisfaction. Conclusion - These results will be valuable and used for service providers. In addition, many service providers will recognize that person-job fit is very important to get a job. This research has a purpose on the assumption that appropriateness between individual and task in service industry shall act as major influence in emotional intelligence of service provider. Recognitive ability of service provider is also very important per characteristics of service, but emotional intelligence that interacts and connected directly with most customers can be a very meaningful factor as well. Emotional intelligence allows people to recognize, understand, and empathize the emotion of customers shall be a positive reinforcement for customers to evaluate the service ultimately.
