응급실 간호사의 감정노동과 감성리더십, 소진의 관계 -직원중심 감정노동과 직무중심 감정노동 비교- (Relationship among Emotional Labor, Emotional Leadership and Burnout in Emergency Room Nurses - Comparison of employee-focused emotional labor and job-focused emotional labor -)

  • 본 연구는 응급실 간호사가 경험하는 감정노동을 직원중심 감정노동과 직무중심 감정노동으로 구분하여 감성리더십과 소진의 관계를 파악하기 위해 시도된 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상은 종합병원에서 근무하며 연구참여에 동의한 총 168명의 응급실 간호사이다. 자료는 직원중심 감정노동, 직무중심 감정노동, 감성리더십 및 소진을 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 조사하였으며 수집된 자료는 실수와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, t-test, ANOVA, 및 Pearson 상관계수로 분석하였다. 연구결과에서 응급실 간호사의 직원중심 감정노동은 표면행위 평균 3.51점, 진심행위 3.26점이었고, 직무중심 감정노동은 감정표현 빈도 평균 3.73점, 감정표현 지속시간 3.36점, 감정표현 다양성 3.46점이었다. 감성리더십 평균은 3.57점이었고, 소진 중 정서적 소모의 평균은 4.59점, 비인격화 4.13점, 개인성취감 감소 3.60점이었다. 직무중심 감정노동 점수가 직원중심 감정노동 점수보다 높았으며, 직원중심 감정노동 중 표면행위를, 직무중심 감정노동에서는 감정표현 빈도를 가장 많이 수행하였다. 직원중심 감정노동과 소진과의 관계에서 표면행위는 정서적 고갈(r=.27, p<.001)과 비인격화(r=.40, p<.001)에 유의한 양의 상관관계를, 진심행위는 개인 성취감 감소(r=-.36, p<.001)와 음의 상관관계가 있었다. 직무중심 감정노동 중 감정표현 빈도(r=.21, p=.005), 지속시간(r=.16, p=.037), 다양성(r=.15, p=.046) 모두 정서적 고갈과 양의 상관관계가 있었으며, 감정표현 지속시간은 비인격화(r=.30, p<.001)와 양의 상관관계를, 감성리더십은 표면행위(r=.18, p=.020), 진심행위(r=.33, p<.001), 그리고 감정표현 지속시간(r=.23, p=.003)과 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 본 연구결과를 근거로 하여 응급실 간호사의 감정노동 및 소진을 효과적으로 관리할 수 있는 전략 개발 노력이 필요하리라 생각된다.

의료기관 종사자의 감정노동과 우울수준의 관련성 (Association between Emotional Labor and Levels of Depression among Health Professionals)

  • Objectives: We focused on investigating the effects between symptoms of depression and emotional labor among health professionals. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used. The participants were 365 health professionals. The survey was composed of questionnaires related to general characteristics and work-related characteristics. Korean emotional labor scale-24(K-ELS@24) and Patient Health Questionnaire(PHQ-9) data was collected from July 1, 2015 to August 31, 2015. Results: The prevalence for symptoms of depression among the survey participants was 79.2%. Organizational support(${\beta}=.387$, P<0.05), emotional disharmony(${\beta}=.238$, P<0.05), customer conflict(${\beta}=.125$, P<0.05) and emotional effort(${\beta}=.122$, P<0.05) showed a significant association with symptoms of depression. Conclusions: These results suggest that emotional disharmony, organizational support and organizational surveillance are related to symptoms of depression. Managing organizational support on the emotional labor scale is the most important factor in controlling symptoms of depression.

Crowd Psychological and Emotional Computing Based on PSMU Algorithm

  • The rapid progress of social media allows more people to express their feelings and opinions online. Many data on social media contains people's emotional information, which can be used for people's psychological analysis and emotional calculation. This research is based on the simplified psychological scale algorithm of multi-theory integration. It aims to accurately analyze people's psychological emotion. According to the comparative analysis of algorithm performance, the results show that the highest recall rate of the algorithm in this study is 95%, while the highest recall rate of the item response theory algorithm and the social network analysis algorithm is 68% and 87%. The acceleration ratio and data volume of the research algorithm are analyzed. The results show that when 400,000 data are calculated in the Hadoop cluster and there are 8 nodes, the maximum acceleration ratio is 40%. When the data volume is 8GB, the maximum scale ratio of 8 nodes is 43%. Finally, we carried out an empirical analysis on the model that compute the population's psychological and emotional conditions. During the analysis, the psychological simplification scale algorithm was adopted and multiple theories were taken into account. Then, we collected negative comments and expressions about Japan's discharge of radioactive water in microblog and compared them with the trend derived by the model. The results were consistent. Therefore, this research model has achieved good results in the emotion classification of microblog comments.

아동의 정서조절 능력과 공격성 및 또래관계의 질 (Emotion Regulation as a Predictor of Aggression and Peer Relationships in School-Age Children)

  • The 299(162 female and 137 male) participants in this study listened to six stories designed to elicit prosocial or self-protective rules. The Aggression Scale is composed of verbal and physical aggression and expression of anger. The Quality of Peer Relationships scale has both positive and negative components. Results showed girls used more appropriate emotional regulation strategies for managing negative emotions and more prosocial motives than boys. In the regression analysis emotional display rules and gender positive strategies accounted for 6%, 9%, and 5% of the variance in verbal aggression, physical aggression and anger expression of anger. Children with prosocial motives for emotional regulation and many strategies showed lower levels of egocentricity and peer rejection.

한국어판 감성지능 측정도구의 신뢰도와 타당도 검증 (The Reliability and Validity of Korean Version of Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (K-WLEIS))

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Korean version of the Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (K-WLEIS). Methods: Data were collected from 360 nursing students using a self reported questionnaire. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis were used to test construct validity. Convergence validity was identified by correlation with communication competency. Item convergent and discriminant validity were also analyzed. Reliability was evaluated internal consistency and test-retest reliability. Results: The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that the eigen values ranged from 1.34 to 5.86 and 73.2% of the total explained variance. Confirmatory factor analysis showed adequate model fit indices (χ2/df 1.89, RMSEA .07, GFI .89, CFI .95, and TLI .93) and standardized factor loadings (.48 to .87). The average extracted variances (.71 to .79) and composite reliability (.80 to .87) validated convergence and discriminant validity of the items. Test-retest reliability of intra-class correlation coefficient was .90 and the Cronbach's alpha coefficient was .88. Conclusion: The K-WLEIS is an appropriate scale for measuring the emotional intelligence of Korean nursing students. Therefore, it is expected that the K-WLEIS will be used for nursing education programs to improve nursing students' emotional intelligence.

전문간호사의 완벽주의와 소진의 관계에서 감성지능의 조절효과 (A Study on the Mediating Effect of Emotional Intelligence between Perfectionism and Burnout in Advanced Practice Nurses (APN))

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyze relationships between perfectionism, burnout, and emotional intelligence in APN and to identify the mediating effect of emotional intelligence on the relationship between perfectionism and burnout. Methods: A structured self-report questionnaire was used to measure perfectionism, burnout, and emotional intelligence. Data were collected from 121 APN working in five advanced general hospitals and two general hospitals. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U test, Pearson correlation and Hierarchical multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. Results: Mean scores for each variable were: perfectionism 3.57 (on a 5-point scale), burnout 3.32 (on a 7-point scale), and emotional intelligence 5.00 (on a 7-point scale). Self-oriented perfectionism had a positive correlation with burnout, as did socially prescribed perfectionism. Emotional intelligence was a significant variable reducing burnout, as it also had a reverse buffering effect on the relationship between self-oriented perfectionism and burnout. Explanatory power of the final model based on variables was 34%. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest a mediating direction regarding burnout by demonstrating that emotional intelligence plays a direct and reverse buffering role to self-oriented perfectionism, which can be used to reduce burnout in APN.

콜 센터 여성 상담사의 감정부조화와 삶의 만족도의 관계: 진정성의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effect of Authenticity in the Relationship between Emotional Disharmony and Life Satisfaction: Focusing on the Women Customer Counselor)

  • 본 연구는 콜 센터 여성 상담사의 감정부조화와 삶의 만족도의 관계에서 진정성의 매개 효과를 검증해보고자하였다. 이를 위해 서울시 소재 공공기관의 콜 센터 여성상담사 197명을 대상으로 권혁기와 박봉규(2011)의 감정부조화 척도, Wood 등(2008)의 진정성 척도, Diener 등(1985)의 삶의 만족도 척도로 상관관계 분석, 다중 회귀분석을 실시하였고 매개효과 검증을 위해 sobel test를 실시하였다. 상관분석 결과, 감정부조화는 진정성과 삶의 만족도와 부적 상관관계를 보여 감정부조화를 경험할수록 진정성이 낮아 자신을 소외키시며 외부영향 수용에 대한 인식이 낮았고 진실한 삶과도 거리가 멀며, 자신의 삶에 대한 평가인 삶의 만족도도 낮았다. 감정부조화와 진정성, 삶의 만족감의 관계에서 진정성의 매개효과 검증 및 매개효과에 대한 유의성 검증 결과, 감정부조화와 삶의 만족도와의 관계에서는 진정성이 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 콜 센터 여성상담사가 감정부조화를 경험할 때 이들을 위한 개입전략으로는 진정성(자기소외와 외부영향 수용을 낮추고, 진실한 삶을 높일 때)을 우선적으로 높임으로써 삶의 만족도 증진이 가능하다는 점을 시사해 주었다. 본 연구의 의의 및 후속연구에 대한 제안을 하였다.

Factors Affecting the Turnover Intention of Dental Hygienists: Emotional Labor, Job Satisfaction, and Social Support

  • This study aims to contribute to managing the human resource of dental hygienists and qualitatively enhancing dental medical services by examining factors that affect their turnover intention. Therefore, it attempted to examine their degrees of emotional labor, job satisfaction, and social support and the effects of each variable on turnover intention. This study administered self-reporting questionnaires to dental hygienists working in dental hospitals, dental clinics, and general or university hospitals in Seoul Metropolis and Gyeonggi-do by conducting convenience sampling, from May 18, 2017 to August 4, 2017. Among a total of 224 copies that were distributed, a total of 223 copies, excluding 1 copy with poor responses, were used in the data analysis. The research tools comprised 12 questions on general characteristics, 24 questions on emotional labor (4-point Likert scale), 16 questions on job satisfaction (5-point Likert scale), 8 questions on social support (4-point Likert scale), and 4 questions on turnover (5-point Likert scale). The scores of dental hygienists were as follows: emotional labor, 2.49 out of 4; job satisfaction, 3.14 out of 5; social support, 3.04 out of 4; and turnover intention, 3.07 out of 5. Their turnover intention has a positive correlation with emotional labor, but a negative correlation with job satisfaction and social support. It was found that some factors that significantly influence turnover intention included the amount of overtime work and job satisfaction. Thus, dental medical institutes should search for measures, including improvement of the working environment, to reduce the amount of overtime work and enhance job satisfaction.

Nurse Presence 도구개발 (Development of Nurse Presence Scale)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop the Nurse Presence Scale and to test the reliability and validity of the instrument. Method: The subjects verifying the scale's reliability and validity were adult patients being treated in three artificial kidney unit in Pusan and Taegu from August 1 to October 15, 2000. The data was analyzed by the SPSS/WIN 8.0 program. Result: A factor analysis and was conducted items that had a factor loading more than .40, and an eigen value more than 1.0 were seleclted. The factor analysis classified a total of seven factors statistically, but the seventh factor was excluded because community was less than 4%. Therefore, there were six factors, and its communality was 62%. The explanation of domain and factors based on the conceptual framework and item content are as follows: The first factor was 'interaction' in emotional areas, the second domain was 'empathy' in cognitive areas, the third was 'attention' in emotional areas, the fourth was 'openness' in emotional areas, the fifth was 'sensitivity' in behavioral areas, and the sixth was 'physical assist' in behavioral areas. Cronbach's α coefficient to test reliability of the scale was .9766 for a total 49 items. Conclusion: The Scale for Nurse Presence developed in the study was identified as a tool with a high degree of reliability and validity. Therefore, this scale can be effectively utilized for the evaluation of nurse presence in clinical settings.

치위생과 학생의 감성지능이 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향 (Influence of college life adjustment on emotional intelligence in dental hygiene students)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of college life adjustment on emotional intelligence in dental hygiene students. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 550 dental hygiene students in Daegu from May to June, 2016. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects, emotional intelligence scale, and student adaptation to college questionnaire using Likert 5 point scale. Data were analyzed by t-test, one way ANOVA, post hoc $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson's correlation test, and multiple regression test. Results: The mean scores of emotional intelligence 3.40 points and college life adjustment 3.14 points were above average. Every sub-field of emotional intelligence had static correlation, and there was a close correlation between college life adjustment and every specific field. The academic adjustment (r=0.515) and institutional adjustment (r=0.458) showed strong correlation with the emotional intelligence. The higher the emotional intelligence score was, the higher the college life adjustment was. Variables having statistically significant influence on college life adjustment included economic status, major satisfaction, self-emotional, use of emotional and emotional control (37.7%, p<0.001). Conclusions: Emotional intelligence played a significant role in dental hygiene students to adapt well with the demands of college life. The college should provide the efficient programs in the curriculum that helps enhance emotional intelligence of the students.
