미용업 관련 종사자의 직업 정체성, 정서노동 및 우울의 상관관계 (Relationship of Professional Identity, Emotional Labor and Depression in Beauty Business Workers)

  • 본 연구는 미용업 종사자들의 직업정체성, 정서노동과 우울의 관계를 파악하고 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하여 미용업 종사자들의 우울 중재의 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도된 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상은 서울시에 있는 미용업 사업체 25곳에서 근무하는 종사자 158명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료수집기간은 2011년 4월 12일부터 5월 13일까지였으며, 자료수집 방법은 구조화된 설문지를 사용하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 16.0 Program을 이용하였다. 연구결과, 대상자들의 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인을 다중회귀 분석한 결과, 직업정체성 영역 중에서는 자율성, 정서노동 영역 중에서는 감정표현의 다양성 및 표면행위가 우울에 23.6%로 기여하는 요인으로 나타났다. 대상자들의 직업정체성은 정서노동의 하위 영역중 감정표현의 빈도와 진심행위와는 순상관관계가 있었고, 표면행위와 우울과는 역상관관계가 있었다. 정서노동의 하위 영역 중 감정표현의 빈도, 감정표현의 다양성은 우울과 역상관관계를 보이고, 표면행위는 우울과 순상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 미용업 종사자들의 우울에 대한 중재를 위해서 직업 정체성 확립에 대한 프로그램과 감정표현 증진과 표면행위 감소를 위한 프로그램이 필요하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

갈등해결전략과 정서지능에 의한 아동의 또래지위 판별 (Discriminant Analysis of Children's Peer Status based on their Conflict-Resolving Strategies and Emotional Intelligence)

  • The purposes of this study were to test differences in conflict-resolving strategies and emotional intelligence based on children's peer status, and to verify the discriminance of conflict-resolving strategies and emotional intelligence for peer status. 58 popular children and 52 rejected children from 4 elementary school were selected, and the data were analyzed with independent sample t-test and discriminant analysis. The research findings are as follows: First, negotiation- and cooperation-strategies (sub-factors of conflict-resolving strategy) and emotional intelligence showed statistically significant differences between popular children and rejected children, while other sub-factors of conflict-resolving strategy and sub-factors of emotional intelligence showed indifference between them. Second, negotiation- and cooperation-strategies among 4 sub-factors of conflict-resolving strategy and 5 sub-factors of emotional intelligence were the most discriminant predictors for children's peer status. The results suggest systematic teacher training and program for the rejected children's improvement of negotiation- and cooperation-strategies in their peer relations.

Risk Factors Associated with Emotional and Conduct Behavior Problems of UK Female Adolescents: Comparative Exploration between Non-Stepfamilies and Stepfamilies

  • Adolescents from stepfamilies have been considered as at-risk group of mental and behavioral problems. This study aims to determine whether there is a group difference of emotional or behavior disturbance between young people in step and non-stepfamilies and whether risk factors linked to emotional and behavior symptoms of young people in stepfamilies are different from those of girls in non-stepfamilies. The study used 'the Mental Health of Children and Young People in Great Britain, 2004 (MHCYP 2004)'. In the MHCYP 2004, the Rutter Problem Behavior Questionnaire, the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), and Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) were administered to parents, teachers, and children drawn from young people aged 5-17 living in private households in England, Scotland (including the Highlands and Islands) and Wales. The total of 2,471 samples of aged 13 through 17 from them were selected for this study. The selected data was analyzed using SPSS. The findings showed group differences in emotional and behavior symptoms between young people in step and non-stepfamilies: Young people from stepfamilies were more emotional and have behavioral disturbances than those from nonstepfamilies. The result also confirmed the different risk factors associated with emotional behavior problems. The study supports that professionals need to develop effective treatment and preventive approaches designed for young people in stepfamilies who may have different risk factors different from those in non-stepfamilies.

상급초보 간호사의 감정노동과 극복력이 재직의도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Emotional Labor and the Resilience on Retention Intention among Advanced Beginner-Stage Nurses)

  • Purpose: The present study examined the psycho-emotional factors that affect the retention intention among advanced beginner-stage nurses. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted using a convenience sample of 118 nurses with a work experience of at least one to three years of work experience in a university hospital in Suwon, Korea. Structured questionnaires were used to assess retention intention, emotional labor, and resilience. Multiple regression analysis was used to examine factors affecting retention intention. Results: Retention intention had a moderate mean score (4.75 out of 8). Factors influencing participants' retention intention were founded in the order of resilience (β=.29, p<.001) and emotional labor (β=-.20, p=.011) after adjusting nursing satisfaction as a covariate. The multiple regression model accounted for 42% of the variance in retention intention (p<.001). Conclusion: Resilience and emotional labor may be primary factors influencing retention intention of advanced beginner-stage nurses. Therefore, this study finding suggested that psycho-emotional factors such as emotional labor and resilience should be considered while designing programs to increase nurses' retention intention.

노인돌봄서비스 제공기관의 돌봄제공자 정서지원서비스 현황 및 영향요인 (Current Status and Associated Factors of Emotional Support Services among Care Providers in Elderly Care Service Agencies)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to identify the current status and factors associated with emotional support services among care providers in elderly care service organizations. Methods: A total of 87 elderly care service agencies nationwide were recruited for the survey. Agencies' characteristics and emotional capacity monitoring activities; and program-building operations among care providers were measured. The collected data were analyzed using an ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. Results: Emotional capacity monitoring activities and program building were generally low. Factors associated with emotional capacity monitoring activities were region, welfare regulations, and vacation and annual leave provisions, while those associated with emotional capacity building programs were identified as vacation and annual leave provisions. Conclusions: The agencies' vacation and welfare system seems to affect emotional support service activities among care providers. It is necessary to prevent emotional exhaustion of care providers and promote quality improvement of care through social and systematic emotional support services.

간호사가 지각한 리더의 감성지능과 자신의 감성지능이 조직몰입 및 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Leader's Emotional Intelligence and Nurse's own Emotional Intelligence on Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of leader's emotional intelligence and nurse's own emotional intelligence on organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. Methods: Data were collected by self-administered questionnaires from 346 clinical nurses, and analysed by the SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The Factors which influence organizational commitment were use of emotion of nurse (${\beta}$=.28), other's emotional appraisal of leader(${\beta}$=.25), regulation of emotion of leader(${\beta}$=.16), other's emotional appraisal of nurse(${\beta}$=14). These factors explained 36.7% of organizational commitment. The Factors which influence organizational citizenship behavior were other's emotional appraisal of nurse(${\beta}$=.25), use of emotion of nurse(${\beta}$=.24), regulation of emotion of nurse(${\beta}$=.23), use of emotion of leader(${\beta}$=.20). These factors explained 43.6% of organizational citizenship behavior. Conclusion: The results of this study can be used to develop hospitals' management strategies for enhancement of nurses' organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior.

요양병원 간호사의 감정노동, 직무 스트레스 및 전문직 삶의 질 (Emotional Labor, Job Stress and Professional Quality of Life among Nurses in Long-term Care Hospital)

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to identify the level of emotional labor, job stress and professional quality of life and to identify the factors affecting on professional quality of life among nurses in long-term care hospitals. Methods: 136 nurses working at eight different long-term care hospitals were recruited from May 1 to June 30, 2016. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 22.0. Results: Professional quality of life is consisted of three subcategories as compassion satisfaction, secondary traumatic stress and burn-out. As for the factors affecting on compassion satisfaction, age, satisfaction on working ward and shift pattern of duties were significant factors. The three variables' explanation power on compassion satisfaction was 25.0%. As for factors affecting on secondary traumatic stress, emotional labor was a significant factor. The emotional labor's explanation power on secondary traumatic stress was 13.0%. Factors affecting on burn-out, emotional labor, age, and health condition were significant factors. The three variables' explanation power on burnout is 31.0%. Conclusion: On the basis of results, program development are required to relieve emotional labor and job stress for nurses at long-term care hospitals and to improve their professional quality of life.

수사학적 관점에서의 인터넷 개인방송 크리에이터에 대한 이용자의 기부의사에 관한 연구 (User's Willingness to Donate to a Personal Broadcasting Creator From a Rhetorical View)

  • Purpose Recently, Internet personal broadcasting has been widely spreaded as a new media type by replacing traditional legacy media such as TV. Considering this phenomenon, this study aims to explore the effect of Aristoteles' persuasion factors on Internet personal broadcasting from a rhetorical view. The reason why users watch the Internet personal broadcasting is that they are persuaded by creator's expertness, empathy, or content usefulness. These factors can be regarded as persuasion factors. Therefore, with Aristoteles' rhetorical persuasion factors composed of ethos, pathos, and logos, this paper tries to investigate how persuasion factors affect user's emotional\ attachment and voluntary donation intention. Design/methodology/approach This paper proposes a model of the relationships among three rhetorical factors, user's emotional attachment, and donation intention. Specifically, ethos is regarded as creator's expertness and trustworthiness, and pathos refers to creator's empathy and social interaction. Last, logos refers to content usefulness and credibility. For testing a hypothetical research model, this study collected 468 surveys and empirically tested hypotheses using a structural equation model. Findings This study investigated how rhetorical factors (ethos, pathos, and logos) and emotional attachment further influence user's donation intention. The findings suggest that rhetorical factors of ethos and pathos enhances emotional attachment, followed by donation intention. Contrary to an expectation, however, logos was not significantly related to emotional attachment. Creators of Internet personal media and MCN providers should focus on the different effects of rhetorical factors and pay attention to the role of emotional attachment to encourage user donation.

SNS 사용자의 이용습관과 감정적 요인 관점에서 기업 SNS 계정의 지속적 사용의도에 관한 연구 (Continuous Use of Corporate SNS Accounts from a Habit and Emotional Perspective)

  • Since social network service (SNS) has been widely used as a effective way for people to connect and communication with each other, the use of corporate SNS account also has increased. However, compared to a private SNS account, only few people have a continuous relationship with their corporate SNS account because the use of corporate SNS account tends to be one-time and temporary activity whenever the users just need events and information. Given the psychological side effects of using SNS, the relative lack of empirical studies on the impacts of emotional factor in SNS prevents the deeper understanding of the intention to continuous using corporate SNS account. Therefore, this study aims to explore key determinants of the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account from a habit and emotional perspective. To bridge research gap, we attempt to divide emotional factor into the following 5 factors based on Mehrabian and Russell model (1974): intimacy, enjoyment (positive factor), privacy concern, anxiety (negative factor), arousal (arousal factor) and (dominant factor). The basic model is proposed to explore the effects of habit and emotional factors on the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account. We then examine how the effects of habit and emotional factors differ depending on social media types (e.g., facebook and twitter). The results indicates that habit is related to emotional factors, and each emotional factor differently influences the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account. The results also confirm that the effects of the habit and emotional factors on the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account differ according to social media types. This study provides practical and useful guidance and the strategic marketing insight for managers in maintaining and improving the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account.

호텔레스토랑 종사원의 감성지능이 조직몰입과 고객지향성에 미치는 영향관계에 대한 연구 (The Influence of Hotel Restaurant Employee's Emotional Intelligence on Organizational Commitment and Customer Orientation)

  • This study was performed to verify the importance of emotional aspect for hotel employees to derive the organizational commitment and customer orientation. Present study estimated the emotional intelligence as four factors: self emotion, other emotion, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation. Online survey method was used and distributed the questionnaires to hotel employees who are working for restaurants. A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed and 257 participants were employed for statistical analysis using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 for Windows. As results, two factors(emotional utilization and emotional regulation) were significant antecedents of organizational commitment, and three factors(self emotion, other emotion, and emotional utilization) were critical predictors of customer orientation. In addition, organizational commitment has significantly influenced the customer orientation. According to the results of this study, hotel restaurant managers or hotel company need to understand the importance of the emotional intelligence for providing better service to their customers as well as improving the organizational commitment. These results will contribute to develop advanced marketing strategics for hotel restaurants employees who have many connections with customers in a hotel.
