Result: Hours for domestic continuing education was 4-8 hours and it was only 3-11% compared to 72 hours in the United States and 128 hours in the Japan. And with respect to the types and methods of programs, there were differences both in quantity and quality. Conclusion: As an education, providing and supplementing the changed content and technical information for the improvement of the capability and qualification of emergency medical technician, selection of education hours and various continuing education should be continuously and regularly provided and conducted. The introduction of various continuing education system and programs for this is considered to be required.
The purpose of this study is to propose an effective operating method of a power generator used by the Emergency Power System in case of a simultaneous fire and of the limitations of the interlock system the power supply from the emergency power generator. On the Emergency Power System with Reserved Fire-fighting Power (RFP), in case of an overload, the collective control Emergency Power System signals the main circuit breaker to shut off the supply to the emergency load, leaving the supply to the firefighting load uninterrupted to the end. The sequential control Emergency Power System signals the firefighting power supply to shut off the fire stage of the emergency load and continues to monitor the power supply. If an overload happens again from increased firefighting load, the sequential control Emergency Power System sends a secondary signal to shut down the second stage of the emergency load.
Health and disease related characteristics of 226 selected by systematic sampling from 452 personal emergency response system(PERS) beneficiaries and actual conditions of using PERS by them are as follows. Over 86% of PERS beneficiaries have not good health conditions and 70.7% of them have chronic diseases. On social supports family was highest as 52.2% and cases having social workers' assistance were 15.2%, but 53 as 23.7% had not visit or call from anyone and showed very low social supports. 86.2% was given PERS within 3years and 79.1% had it by the recommendation from related agencies and 4.0% was by their demand. On wearing it, 78.3% didn't bring it with them and 92% of them answered they were not sick and then it was found that they didn't use it because they had not special emergency. On satisfaction with paging system's operation, 81.3% answered they were satisfied with it, 48.8% used it for 'acute and emergency diseases' and 29.3% called ambulance for 'appointed medical treatment'. Time required for ambulance to arrive at the field was within 10 min. in 87.8% and after 10 min. in 12.2% and emergency service for beneficiaries by fire service was very good. On satisfaction with use of PERS, 85.4% were satisfied with it, 81.9% who requested repair or replacement of radio paging got it back after one or two days of their request and they answered they were satisfied with A/S. 45.5% answered they powered off it because 'they didn't use it' and 12.1% had 'economical reason of phone charge'.
The purpose of this paper is to present a model for operating an emergency power system(EPS) that can secure a sufficient power supply used in case of a fire by analyzing the status of power supplies for emergency and firefighting operations. Investigations on the one of the causes of the operational failure of firefighting systems show evidence of EPS. Generally, when power to a building is interrupted, EPS supplies the emergency load(excepted firefighting load) first. When a power outage and a fire occur simultaneously, the EPS must be able to supply both the emergency load and the firefighting load, especially the firefighting load to the end. However, in order to save construction costs, emergency power generators in apartment, commercial, and business buildings can satisfy only one of the required loads. In cases like this, when a power outage and a fire occur simultaneously, there is a danger of firefighting equipment not operating due to insufficient power supply from the emergency generator. Therefore, an EPS must have a reserved firefighting power that can supply both the firefighting and the emergency load. Such EPS, when faced with a danger of an overload, will shut down the supply to all or part of the emergency load, thus securing a continuous power supply to the firefighting equipment. The generator power system with reserved firefighting power (RFP) will also have an indicator to show that the selective control is being used. General power generation systems for emergency load and firefighting load were found to have a demand factor of 50-60% with a lump. However, when installing an EPS, the builders must choose the higher demand factor suggested according to the official approval demand factor of the building.
The purpose of this study was a convergence study to find a way to shorten pre-hospital emergency medical response time in vehicle accident. This study analyzed the factors of hospital emergency response time by utilizing weather, road type, accident type, and rescue response to 353 vehicle passengers who visited the three emergency medical centers from January 1, 2011 to July 30, 2016 in Korea In-Depth Accident Study. The results of the study showed that the highway used the most time to prehospital emergency medical response time and was a factor affecting the overall time (${\beta}=.543$, p<.001). In order to shorten the emergency medical response time in highway, the operation of emergency services on the highway, the active use of emergency turn road and the automatic emergency rescue service with individual devices were proposed.

Emergency preparedness plan (EPP) is the systematic management of activities that involve a material degree of risk of loss or other damage to the surroundings (people, property and environment), and the boundary of accident recovery plan (ARP). The main purpose of the program is to provide a safety management system to each facility in order to enable to prevent accident and to control accident immediately. The EPP includes not only typical safety-related documentations such as material safety data sheet (MSDS), standard operation procedure (SOP), emergency response plan(ERP). EPP is established basis of the preliminary safety analysis involving risk identification, assessment and prevention plans. The program is also helpful for government or related agencies to control a number of accidents in small-scale companies in the whole country.
This study is analysis of the effectiveness and satisfaction index of hospital-based skill training (HST) in level 2 emergency medical technicians. The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the effective operation. The survey carried out to 70 level 2 emergency medical technicians who participate in HST from July 29 to August 22 in 2013. From the study, self evaluated operation skills scale were 3.09 before training and 3.80 after training. It showed statistically significant enhancements. satisfaction index were 3.80. appopriate education periods were (1~2) weeks (64.3%). the longer the time had been since their training completion, the higher education satisfaction. The multilateral studies on problems and needs of HST and development of training programs that includes hospital training monitoring are necessary.
