다단계 유통 추적을 위한 DWT-SVD 기반의 홀로그래피 포렌식마크 (Holographic Forensic Mark based on DWT-SVD for Tracing of the Multilevel Distribution)

  • 본 논문은 다단계 불법유통 추적을 위하여 배포단계 마다 포렌식마크를 삽입하고 불법 유통시 삽입된 포렌식마크를 검출하여 유통경로 추적이 가능하도록 하는 방식을 제안한다. 단계마다 저작권 및 사용자 정보를 포함한 포렌식마크를 삽입해야 하므로 대용량의 정보 삽입이 필요하고, 또 단계마다 삽입된 정보들 사이에 신호간섭이 발생하지 않도록 하여야 정확한 검출이 가능하다. 제안방식은 포렌식마크로부터 디지털 홀로그램을 생성하여 DWT-SVD 도메인에 삽입하는 방식으로 다단계 불법유통 추적이 가능하도록 구성하였다. 대용량 정보 삽입을 구현하기 위하여 포렌식마크로부터 비축홀로그램(Off-axis Hologram)을 생성하고 단계별 유통추적이 가능하도록 홀로그램을 DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform)도메인의 HL, LH, HH band에 삽입하여 신호간섭을 줄였다. 또 SVD(Singular Value Decomposition)를 홀로그램이 삽입된 신호에 적용하여 단계별 검출성능 및 안전성을 향상시켰다. 실험결과 각 단계별로 저작권 정보 및 사용자 정보로 활용이 가능한 128bit의 포렌식마크 삽입이 가능하여 3단계 배포에 총 384bit를 삽입하고 단계별로 정확한 검출이 이루어졌으며 JPEG압축에도 강인한 것으로 나타났다.

안드로이드 스마트기기에서의 스테가노그래피 연구 (Steganography on Android Smart Devices)

  • 스마트폰 사용의 확대로 iOS와 Android 운영체제에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 플랫폼을 기반으로 한 스테가노그래픽 기법으로 안드로이드에서 기본적으로 제공하는 그래픽 라이브러리인 스키아를 기반으로 한 영상 포맷을 분석하고, 분석된 포맷에 기반한 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 Alpha, Red, Green, Blue 각각 8비트씩 총 32비트를 사용하는 트루 칼라를 기반으로 네 개의 각 8비트 영역을 활용하여 비밀자료를 숨긴다. 또한 이미지 왜곡이 덜 민감한 Alpha 영역을 활용하여 최대한 비밀자료를 숨길 수 있도록 알고리즘을 제안함으로써, 안드로이드를 기반으로 하는 스마트기기에 모두 사용이 가능할 것으로 보인다. 실험결과에서는 Alpha값의 변화에 따른 비밀자료 삽입용량과 이미지 왜곡 정도를 보임으로써 제안하는 알고리즘의 우수성을 증명하고 있다.

Novel Secure Hybrid Image Steganography Technique Based on Pattern Matching

  • The secure communication of information is a major concern over the internet. The information must be protected before transmitting over a communication channel to avoid security violations. In this paper, a new hybrid method called compressed encrypted data embedding (CEDE) is proposed. In CEDE, the secret information is first compressed with Lempel Ziv Welch (LZW) compression algorithm. Then, the compressed secret information is encrypted using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) symmetric block cipher. In the last step, the encrypted information is embedded into an image of size 512 × 512 pixels by using image steganography. In the steganographic technique, the compressed and encrypted secret data bits are divided into pairs of two bits and pixels of the cover image are also arranged in four pairs. The four pairs of secret data are compared with the respective four pairs of each cover pixel which leads to sixteen possibilities of matching in between secret data pairs and pairs of cover pixels. The least significant bits (LSBs) of current and imminent pixels are modified according to the matching case number. The proposed technique provides double-folded security and the results show that stego image carries a high capacity of secret data with adequate peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and lower mean square error (MSE) when compared with existing methods in the literature.

Optimization of 3D Triangular Mesh Watermarking Using ACO-Weber's Law

  • The development of new multimedia techniques such as 3D printing is increasingly attracting the public's attention towards 3D objects. An optimized robust and imperceptible watermarking method based on Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and Weber Law is proposed for 3D polygonal models. The proposed approach partitions the host model into smaller sub meshes and generates a secret watermark from the sub meshes using Weber Law. ACO based optimized strength factor is identified for embedding the watermark. The secret watermark is embedded and extracted on the wavelet domain. The proposed scheme is robust against geometric and photometric attacks that overcomes the synchronization problem and authenticates the secret watermark from the distorted models. The primary characteristic of the proposed system is the flexibility achieved in data embedding capacity due to the optimized strength factor. Extensive simulation results shows enhanced performance of the recommended framework and robustness towards the most common attacks like geometric transformations, noise, cropping, mesh smoothening, and the combination of such attacks.

관입식 복합 통수능 시험기의 개발과 적용성 (Development and Applicability of Discharge Capacity Testing Apparatus Using Penetration Method)

  • 본 연구에서는 Plastic Board Drain(PBD)이 타설된 지반의 압밀거동 특성을 파악하고, 배수재 통수능력을 알아보기 위하여 현장의 타설조건을 실험실에서 모사할 수 있는 관입식 복합 통수능 시험기를 개발하였다. 개발된 시험기는 배수재를 타설하고 교란된 시료를 투기하는 기존 방법과 달리, 예비압밀로 시료를 조성한 후 mandrel과 관입장치를 이용하여 PBD를 지반에 타설하도록 고안하였다. 개발된 관입식 복합 통수능 시험기의 적용성을 평가하기 위하여 기존 복합 통수능 시험을 함께 실시하여 결과를 분석하였다. 실험 결과, 기존 방법은 시료 전체의 교란에 의해 압밀이 지연되는 현상으로 나타났으며, 시료의 불균질성 등에 의해 배수재 변형도 국부적으로 발생하였다. 이로 인하여 기존 시험법에 의한 통수능력은 예상치 보다 다소 크게 산정되는 경향을 보였으며, 관입식 방법에 의해 현장조건과 유사하게 통수능력을 분석할 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

바이오 정보보호 위한 히스토그램 쉬프팅 기반 가역성 DNA 워터마킹 기법 (Reversible DNA Watermarking Technique Using Histogram Shifting for Bio-Security)

  • Reversible DNA watermarking is capable of continuous DNA storage and forgery prevention, and has the advantage of being able to analyze biological mutation processes by external watermarking by iterative process of concealment and restoration. In this paper, we propose a reversible DNA watermarking method based on histogram multiple shifting of noncoding DNA sequence that can prevent false start codon, maintain original sequence length, maintain high watermark capacity without biologic mutation. The proposed method transforms the non-coding region DNA sequence to the n-th code coefficients and embeds the multiple bits of the n-th code coefficients by the non-recursive histogram multiple shifting method. The multi-bit embedding process prevents the false start codon generation through comparison search between adjacent concealed nucleotide sequences. From the experimental results, it was confirmed that the proposed method has higher watermark capacity of 0.004-0.382 bpn than the conventional method and has higher watermark capacity than the additional data. Also, it was confirmed that false start codon was not generated unlike the conventional method.

팽이기초공법(Top-Base Method)의 하중-침하량 분석 (Load-Settlement Characteristics of Concrete TOP-BASE Foundation on Soft Ground)

  • A new foundation type which is called Top-Base method has been used frequently in engineering practices in Korea. In this study, the settlement behavior of concrete Top-Base foundation on soft ground is investigated since the consolidation settlement of the embedding depth and the effect of footing dimensions are not included in current Korean criterion (2007). To obtain detailed information, the model tests of the Top-Base foundation are performed using the PLAXIS 3D finite element analysis. It is shown that in-situ measurements and finite element analysis of the behavior of foundations indicate that consolidation settlement is reduced up and bearing capacity of the foundation increases up to 50%~100%, compared to the primary non-treated ground. Based on this study, it is found that the Top-Base foundation prevents the lateral deformation of soft ground and reduces its negative dilatancy to the surface settlement, and that the foundation creates rather uniform stress distribution under it to increase its bearing capacity. It is also found that the total settlement of Top-Base foundation was highly dependent on the consolidation settlement and footing configurations.

Mechanical behavior of steel tube encased high-strength concrete composite walls under constant axial load and cyclically increasing lateral load: Experimental investigation and modeling

  • This paper presented an investigation into steel tubes encased high-strength concrete (STHC) composite walls, wherein steel tubes were embedded at the boundary elements of high-strength concrete walls. A series of cyclic loading tests was conducted to evaluate the failure pattern, hysteresis characteristics, load-bearing capacity, deformability, and strain distribution of STHC composite walls. The test results demonstrated that the bearing capacity and ductility of the STHC composite walls improved with the embedding of steel tubes at the boundary elements. An analytical method was then established to predict the flexural bearing capacity of the STHC composite walls, and the calculated results agreed well with the experimental values, with errors of less than 10%. Finally, a finite element modeling (FEM) was developed via the OpenSees program to analyze the mechanical performance of the STHC composite wall. The FEM was validated through test results; additionally, the influences of the axial load ratio, steel tube strength, and shear-span ratio on the mechanical properties of STHC composite walls were comprehensively investigated.

Finite element modeling of pre-damaged beam in concrete frame retrofitted with ultra high performance shotcrete

  • In recent times, there has been a growing need to retrofit and strengthen reinforced concrete (RC) structures that have been damaged. Numerous studies have explored various methods for strengthening RC beams. However, there is a significant dearth of research investigating the utilization of ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) for retrofitting damaged RC beams within a concrete frame. This study aims to develop a finite element (FE) model capable of accurately simulating the nonlinear behavior of RC beams and subsequently implementing it in an RC concrete frame. The RC frame is subjected to loading until failure at two distinct degrees, followed by retrofitting and strengthening using Ultra high performance shotcrete (UHPS) through two different methods. The results indicate the successful simulation of the load-displacement curve and crack patterns by the FE model, aligning well with experimental observations. Novel techniques for reinforcing deteriorated concrete frame structures through ABAQUS are introduced. The second strengthening method notably improves both the load-carrying capacity and initial stiffness of the load-displacement curve. By incorporating embedded rebars in the frame's columns, the beam's load-carrying capacity is enhanced by up to 31% compared to cases without embedding. These findings indicate the potential for improving the design of strengthening methods for damaged RC beams and utilizing the FE model to predict the strengthening capacity of UHPS for damaged concrete structures.

비밀데이터의 패턴정보에 기반한 새로운 정보은닉 기법 (A New Information Data Hiding Scheme based on Pattern Information of Secret Data)

  • 현재까지 연구된 대부분의 정보은닉 기법관련 알고리듬들은 커버영상(cover image)의 변경 또는 조작을 통해 비밀데이터를 삽입(embedding)하여 스테고영상(stego image)을 생성하고, 생성된 스테고영상으로부터 비밀데이터를 추출(extraction)하였다. 이러한 알고리듬은 PSNR의 수치가 높고, 비밀데이터의 수용량(capacity)이 많을수록 좋은 것으로 간주한다. 본 논문에서는 비밀데이터의 패턴(pattern)을 분석하여 숨기는 비밀데이터의 양이 많고, PSNR의 값이 우수한 효율적인 정보은닉 알고리듬을 제안한다. 제안하는 정보은닉 알고리듬은 비밀데이터를 분석하여 비밀데이터 내의 빈도수가 높은 값들을 찾고, 이들의 좌표 값과 인덱스(index)정보를 이용해 커버영상에 삽입한다. 이를 통해 커버영상과 스테고영상 간의 차이는 줄이면서 기존의 제안되었던 알고리듬에 비해 높은 수용량을 보여줌을 실험을 통해 비교한다. 실험결과에서는 5 종류의 비밀 데이터와 8 가지 이하의 패턴을 이용해 커버영상에 삽입하여 생성된 스테고영상과의 차이를 측정한 PSNR과 숨겨진 비밀데이터의 양의 결과를 통해 기존에 제안되었던 알고리듬들 비해 제안하는 정보은닉 알고리듬이 우수함을 보여준다.
