Hanok is Korea's traditional housing. From the 1970s, the vast majority of citizens in urban areas have not lived in Hanok housing but an apartment. Consequently, many people no longer familiar with the experience of living in traditional Hanok. People who live in the environment of residential apartments eargle like new residential and pursue eco-friendly homes, health homes, espacially among the hanok was reassure potential. There have been many debate how Hanok housing can become more sustainable, yet keep characteristics of its identity. The purpose of this study is to examine the process by which traditional Hanoks and modern architecture can influence each other, how the popularization of modern homes was formed and this relationship with the new less popular Hanoks. Finally, We will exmine how old Hanok can be renovated into new, modern Hanoks. The subject areas are Seoul, Jeonju, and Chongju in early twentieth century; by discussing with upper-class Hanok to improve the general standard of most traditional Hanok.
Structural identification via modal analysis in structural mechanics is gaining popularity in recent years, despite conceptual difficulties connected with its use. This paper is devoted to illustrate both the capabilities and the indeterminacy characterizing structural identification problems even in quite simple instances, as well as the cautions that should be accordingly adopted. In particular, we discuss an application of an identification technique of variational type, based on the measurement of eigenfrequencies and mode shapes, to a steel frame with friction joints under various assembling conditions. Experience has suggested, so as to restrict the indeterminacy frequently affecting identification issues, having resort to all the a priori acknowledged information on the system, to the symmetry and presence of structural elements with equal stiffness, to mention one example, and mindfully selecting the parameters to be identified. In addition, considering that the identification techniques have a local character and correspond to the updating of a preliminary model of the structure, it is important that the analytical model on the first attempt should be adequately accurate. Secondly, it has proved determinant to cross the results of the dynamic identification with tests of other typology, for instance, static tests, so as to fully understand the structural behavior and avoid the indeterminacy due to the nonuniqueness of the inverse problem.
The hybridization of carbon nano-materials enhances the efficiency of each function of the resulting structure or composites. Also, the addition of non-carbon elements to nanomaterials modifies the electrochemical properties. Electrodes combining porous carbon nanofibers (CNFs) and metal oxides benefit from the combination of the double-layer capacitance of the CNFs and the pseudocapacitive character associated with the surface redox-type reactions. Consequently, they demonstrate superior supercapacitor performance in terms of high capacitance, high energy/power efficiency and high rate capability. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the latest advances made in the development and application of various metal oxide/CNF composites (CNFCs) to supercapacitor electrodes.

In the most of recognizing systems of hand-written numbers. extraction of feature shape by using character elements shapes and a method of morphological analysis by using then extraction of feature shapes were usually used. In this paper, however, peculiar chain-code is used, and differential code which gets minimal value by differentiating the chain-code which is generated by the peculiar chain-code is made. We found this differential code is very successful in discriminating hand-written numbers according to the result of applying to most of the hand-written numbers. Testing recognition of hand-written numbers by HMM network. From the results, we can recognize of 96.1 percentage hand-written numbers but can not recognize extremely distorted hand-written numbers.
This study intens to provide available guideline of useful plants in interior and be used by designer. It focuses on evaluating the character of plants, the method of installation and the form of composition for suitable design of using plants. The study finds out that using plants in interior are necessary positively by 94% respondents. And results of factor analysis are that plants are needed for emothional stability(factor 1), visual charming(factor 2), and educational effection(factor 3). According to job, the group of students is visual charming (P=0.0037), the public servants and housewives is educational effection(p=0.0029). The most available space of plants as follows : Department(30.5%), Hotell(26.3%), House and Restuarant(12.7%). It has been identified that the public institution and commercial space are much indused plants. The most indused plants in house is ordered that the veranda, the living room, the entrance. This result is concerned about relation of natural light plants. The repondants reply that the favorite arrangement style is the corner form(63%), the center garden form(52.1%), the large planter(19.7%), the planter box(11.3%). They respond that they are more favorite light green color than dark, and mono color than mixture color. Finally, interior Designers should be understood the functional and aesthetic elements and the special interest about plants for developing desigv.

The chemical element and structural characterization of different types of cements and its brick stones are been investigated under forensic aspects using X-ray florescence (XRF) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectrometer. The XRF provides rapid compositional data for controlling almost all stages of raw materials, clinker and cement. The decisive advantage of XRD methods is based on the unique character of the diffraction patterns of crystalline substances, the ability to distinguish between elements and their oxides, and the possibility to identify chemical compounds, polymeric forms, and mixed crystals by non-destructive examination. Therefore, combination of these examinations is useful and able to apply for the forensic analysis in comparison of cements and brick stones. There are more study remained to determine the viability of method for forensic analysis of brick stones and the limits of the discrimination that can be achieved.

These days a great mix of traditional and digital contents such as movie, broadcasting, advertisement, e-books, music, game, animation, cartoon, character, knowledge information, and art performance are widely available. Many more are yet to come, with improved quality and added features. It is expected that all these contents will be evolved into a new breed of convergence content through the process of consolidation, expansion, integration, and recreation. Across the digital ecosystem, a new formula is being added to the industrial structure : 'Information/Content-Platform/Device-Goods/Service.' In the near future, as a result of technological innovation and convergence, the business sector will lose its boundaries as well, as businesses will be forced to look beyond the product itself and focus more on multi-functionality. Especially, in the era of creative economy, more policies need to be crafted in order to procure a new growth engine for the future with the agenda for convergence between humanities and technology. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the concept, factors, elements, types, and cases of convergence, which are the essence of content convergence. This analysis, with its focus on the convergence process, will help identify the effects and limits of content convergence as well as the prospects for convergence contents in the smart ecosystem under the creative economic system.
Nowaday, in Vietnam there are two types of medical services which have coexisted. These are Western medicine or Tay Y and Eastern medicine or Dong Y (this is also known as Oriental medicine). Dong Y is includes Chinese traditional medicine (TCM) or Thuoc Bac and Vietnamese traditional medicine (TVM) or Thuoc nam. In its’ history, Vietnam was dominated by feudal China in more than 1000 years, so that Vietnamese people was impacted much by Chinese thought, culture and medicine of course. Traditional Chinese and Traditional Vietnamese Medicine differ in practice, though they share the same theoretical foundation. Their relationship can be observed by the influence of TCM theories on the TVM which are Yin and Yang, Five Elements. In practice, TCM practitioners usually spend more time giving their patients a sort of theoretical explanation of what's going on, whereas TVM practitioners would use a more practical approach and concentrate less on theory. TVM was popular in common life of working people, generally using ingredients readily available nearby and involving a minimum of processing. Most knowledge was passed unselfconsciously from one generation to the next. It can be said that Vietnamese people are based on theories of TCM and available tropical plant sand animals native to Vietnam to built and develop TVM with it’s own character. The following are some plants are using in normal life of Vietnamese people as food or drink with well-being effect(1,2).

We usually divide the noise of exhaust system into pulsation noise and flow noise. Pulsation noise is the shock wave to occur when the burning gas of low pressure emits and include harmonic having basic frequency as the exhaust cycle of engine. Flow noise is the noise that is produced when gas flow emits into the atmosphere through the pipe and has the character of frequency like pink noise which has the high level of high frequency component. A muffler is divided into reflective type and absorptive type. We usually use the muffler compounding the property of them. In this study, it is the case of transfer matrix method that a muffler is compounded to analyze the elements of each section according to sound wave's proceed direction. But we use simple model. So, we use finite element method that takes short time to analyze. Acoustic analysis gives us transfer matrix to use FEA of SYSNOISE and we use STAR-CD for fluid analysis. We made database that is based on analytical results about the muffler of expansion type, extended type, offset type, reverse type, and perforated type and developed the muffler design system to perform work efficiently.
Tales from Shakespeare, written by Charles and Mary Lamb in 1807, is an adaptation of Shakespeare's plays which was intended for children. Shakespeare's poetic language is transmitted into prose, which enables children to easily read his works. Charles and Mary Lamb collaborated in adapting Shakespeare's plays, but they undertook separate duties which revealed different attitudes in their approach to the adaptation. This dissertation examines Mary Lamb's adaption of Shakespeare's problem play All's Well That Ends Well and Charles Lamb's adaption of Shakespeare' tragedy King Lear, with an adapted pattern focusing on the plot and character. Charles Lamb stressed the "imagination of a fairy tale," which was against the trend in children's literature of the time, while Mary Lamb stressed "the moral and didactic element." Mary Lamb was concerned with the education of female children in the early nineteenth-century. As a result, the Tales presents "a double movement" or perspective, which stresses didactic elements, as well as imagination. These ambivalent attitudes caused critical debates in the nineteenth-century. However, the Lambs defended criticism against "the double movement," suspecting themselves to be "no bigger than a child," from the viewpoint of "the imagination," and reading the Tales to be effective at "making a child a virtuous man," from the viewpoint of "an education."
