The purpose of ths study is to compare and analyze the sequence of teaching multiplication facts in the elementary school mathematics. Generally, the multiplication in the elementary school mathematics is composed of the followings; concepts of multiplication, situations involving multiplication, didactical models for multiplication, and multiplication strategies for teaching multiplication facts. This study is focusing to multiplication facts, especially to the sequence of teaching and multiplication strategies. The method of this study is a comparative and analytic method. In order to compare textbooks, we select the Korean elementary mathematics textbooks(1st curriculum~2009 revised curriculum) and the 9 foreign elementary mathematics textbooks(Japan, China, Germany, Finland, Hongkong etc.). As results of comparative investigation, the sequence of teaching multiplication facts is reconsidered on a basis of elementary students' mathematical thinking. And the connectivity of multiplication facts is strengthened in comparison with the foreign elementary mathematics textbooks. Finally multiplication strategies for teaching multiplication facts are discussed for more understanding and reasoning the principles of multiplication facts in the elementary school mathematics.

본 연구에서는 문헌 연구 및 초등학교 교사를 대상으로 한 설문의 통계적 검증 절차를 기반으로 하여 초등학교 교사의 수학교수불안(數學敎授不安) 측정 도구를 개발하였다. 특히, 본 연구에서는 신뢰도 검증을 위해 주성분분석(Principal Components Analysis)을 이용하여 설문 문항 간 유기성을 검증하였으며, 타당도 검증을 위해서 수학 교수 효능감 도구의 적용 결과와 비교 분석을 실시하였다. 문헌 연구를 기반으로 개발된 문항들의 신뢰도와 타당도에 대한 통계적 검증 절차를 통해, 본 연구에서는 21문항으로 구성된 초등학교 교사의 수학교수불안 측정 도구를 개발하였다.

The main purpose of this paper is to develope elementary mathematics teaching-learning programs for pre-service elementary teachers. The elementary mathematics education program developed in this work is divided into two parts: One is the theory, the other is the practice. The theory deals with the foundations of mathematics, the objectives of mathematics education, the history of mathematics education in Korea, the psychology of mathematics learning, the theories of mathematics teaching and learning, and the methods of assessment. With respect to the practice, this study examines the background knowledge and activities of numbers and their operation, geometry, measurement, statistics and probability, pattern and function.

This paper compares and contrasts the perspectives of effective mathematics teaching by 135 elementary school teachers, 132 middle school teachers, and 124 high school teachers using a questionnaire in South Korea. All groups of teachers chose in common the teaching and learning strand as the most important for effective mathematics instruction. However, elementary school teachers placed greater importance on the curriculum and content strand than their counterparts did. Elementary school teachers tended to agree more upon the 48 items related to good mathematics teaching than their counterparts did. The similarities and differences among the groups of teachers are expected to provoke discussion of what constitutes high-quality mathematics instruction and how such perspectives may be situated in the socio-cultural context.

이 연구는 우리나라 초등 교사들의 수학 교수 효능감이 어느 정도인지를 강문봉과 김정하가 개발한 측정 도구를 이용하여 분석한 것이다. 초등학교 교사 183명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 초등학교 교사들의 수학 교수 효능감은 100점 만점으로 볼 때 64점 정도의 높은 수준이며, 남교사와 여교사 사이에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 경력 면에서 볼 때는 성장기 교사의 효능감이 가장 낮았다. 수학교육 관련 전공자의 수학 교수 효능감이 비수학교육 관련 전공자들의 것보다 유의하게 높았으며, 수학 관련 연수 활동의 횟수가 많을수록 효능감이 높다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze multiplication facts(1st and 0th multiplication) in elementary mathematics. In the 2015 revised curriculum, students learn multiplication and multiplication facts in the 2nd grade. Many teachers experience difficulties in organizing the multiplication problem situation in multiplication facts(1st and 0th multiplication). This study aims to consider the causes of these difficulties and devise teaching methods. The method of this study is a comparative and analytic method. In order to compare textbooks, we select the Korean elementary mathematics textbooks(1st curriculum~2015 revised curriculum) and the six foreign elementary mathematics textbooks(Taiwan, Japan, Finland, Unites States, Hongkong, Singapore). As a result, the multiplication problem situation and the multiplication model assume the same bundle and bundle model. Also, we must consider the teaching timing of multiplication facts(1st and 0th multiplication) and the use of commutative law. In this study, we proposed a multiplication teaching scheme in consideration of the multiplication problem situation and teaching model, teaching period and commutative law etc.. to teach multiplication facts(1st and 0th multiplication) in elementary mathematics.

대개의 수학교실에서 교사는 자신의 수학 신념에 바탕을 두고 학생들에게 수학을 어떻게 가르칠 것인지를 결정하게 된다. 교사의 수학 신념은 과거의 다양한 수학에 대한 경험으로부터 만들어지기에 초등예비교사의 수학 신념은 교육실습을 통해 유의미한 변화가 있을 것이라 예상할 수 있다. 따라서 초등예비교사들의 수학에 관한 신념이 교육실습 전?후로 어떻게 변화되어 가는지 분석해 보고, 나아가 이들의 수학에 관한 신념 변화에 영향을 미치는 요인을 찾아보았다. 초등예비교사들을 대상으로 한 교육실습 전과 후의 설문조사 및 소수 대상자들을 교육실습 과정에서 관찰조사 한 결과, 교육실습은 예비교사들의 수학 신념 변화에 영향을 미치고 있으며, 그들이 지닌 신념에 따라 수업의 방향이 달라지고, 지도교사나 수업에서의 성공과 실패 요인 등이 신념 변화에 큰 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 이 연구는 위의 결과를 바탕으로 교육실습 과정에서 초등예비교사들의 수학 신념 변화에 대한 논의 및 제언을 담고 있다.

본 연구에서는 문헌 연구 및 초등학교 교사 300명을 대상으로 한 설문 결과의 통계적 분석을 바탕으로 수학 교수 효능감 측정 도구를 개발하였다. 수학 교수 효능감을 구성하는 요인으로는 수학 수업 효능감, 수학 효능감을 선정하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 설문 문항의 신뢰도는 주성분분석(Principal Components Analysis) 기법을 이용하여 검증하였다. 타당도 검증은 문헌 연구 및 수학 교과 전문 교사의 검토를 중심으로 실시되었다. 이와 같은 절차를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 13문항으로 구성된 초등학교 교사의 수학 교수 효능감 측정 도구를 개발하였다.

Lakatos의 수리철학은 수학적 지식의 준경험성을 주장한 것으로서, 수학의 성장, 발전의 맥락을 제공해 주는, 교육적으로 매우 의미 있는 철학이다. 그러나 Lakatos의 수학적 발견의 논리는 증명과 반례에 기초하고 있어서, 증명을 다루지 않는 초등학교에서는 Lakatos의 방법론을 적용하기가 쉽지 않다. 이 연구는 Lakatos의 방법론을 초등학교 수준에서 적용할 수 있는 방안과 그 적용 사례를 개발하고자 하는 것이다. 이 연구에서는 초등학교 수준에서 Lakatos의 방법론을 교수 방법과 교육과정 구성 방법의 두 가지로 적용 방안을 구상하고, 교수 방법의 적용 사례를 개발하였다.

The purpose of this research is to identify the level of number sense, the attitude toward mathematics and the mathematics teaching efficacy of pre-service elementary special education teachers and to verify the mediation effect of mathematics teaching efficacy between number sense and attitude toward mathematics. 70 university students participated in research. The results from this study are as following: First, the level of number sense among pre-service elementary special education teachers was not so high. They had negative attitude toward mathematics and their mathematics teaching efficacy was on the average level. Second, positive correlationships were shown between number sense and attitude toward mathematics and between number sense and mathematics teaching efficacy. The mediating effect of the mathematics teaching efficacy in the relationship between number sense and attitude toward mathematics was found. The limitations of the study and directions for future studies were discussed.
