We fabricated flexible electrophoretic display(EPD) driven by organic thin film transistors(OTFTs) on plastic substrate. We designed the W/L of OTFT to be 15, considering EPD's transient characteristics. The OTFTs employed bottom contact structure and used Al for gate electrode, the cross-linked polyvinylphenol for gate insulator, pentacene for active layer. The plastic substrate was coated by PVP barrier layer in order to remove the islands which were formed after pre-shrinkage process and caused the electrical short between bottom scan and top data metal lines. Pentacene active layer was confined within the gate electrodes so that the off current was controlled and reduced by gate electrodes. Especially, PVA/Acryl double layers were inserted between EPD panel and OTFT-backplane in order to protect OTFT-backplane from the damages created by lamination process of EPD panel on the backplane and also accommodate pixel electrodes through via holes. From the OTFT-backplane the mobility was $0.21cm^2/V.s$, Ion/Ioff current ratio $10^5$. The OTFT-EPD panel worked successfully and demonstrated to display some patterns.
To investigate a possibility of the species genetic relationship for the soluble proteins analysis on the class Cephalopoda in the Yellow Sea, the isolate eye, muscle and liver proteins from five species (Sepia esculenta, Sepiella japonica, Loligo chinensis, Loligo beka and Octopus minor) were analysed using different electrophoretic techniques (Davis-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, exponential gradient SDS-PAGE, thin-layer isoelectro-focusing and two-dimensional PAGE). The average molecular weight of the soluble eye and muscle proteins was estimated at 35-50 KDa, separated b the exponential gradient SDS-PAGE. It was corresponds to that of electrophoretic patterns by t재 dimensional PAGE. By which the thin layer IEF, the target proteins showed a reasonable specificity based on their isoelectric points (pI) 7.5-8.5.
This study was carried out to investigate the histomorphological changes and the electrophoretic patterns of egg components, obtained from 100 of 2-year-old female catfishes (Silurus asotus). Female Korean catfishes collected in the vicinity of Chollabukdo have synchronous ovaries which discontinously ovulate eggs during the breeding season (from late May until early July). The fishes were killed by severing the spinal cord just posterior to the head after immobilization with tricaine methanesulfonate (MS 222). Especially, the light microscopic and ultrastructural changes of ooplasm and follicular membranes of oocytes, were examined by means of light and transmission electron microscopy. The size of the nucleoli and number of the yolk granules increased as the oocyte groved. Yolk granules were deposited in the oocyte as fluid Due to tile presence of large early and late maturing oocytes, their ovaries were enlarged, transparent, granular and greenish in color. As the percentages of fish in late maturing oocyte (LMO) and ripe oocyte (RO) stage increased from March to April, mean gonadosomatic index (GSI) values (19.95%) increased. Zona radiata changed from squamous into cuboid in shape in the early maturing oocyte (EMO) stage. Processes, microvilli, from the zona radiata and from the oocyte grow, and make contact with each other in the pore canals of the zona radiata during vitellogenesis, but are withdrawn as the zona radials becomes more compact and devoid of pore canals during oocyte maturation. Seasonal changes in the microscopic appearance of the ovaries were well correlated with those in both gonadosomatic index and macroscopic appearance. The main cytological changes such as increase in size of cell, nucleus, nucleolus, and increase in number of nucleoli and mitochondria demonstrated with electron microscopy in the previtellogenic oocytes of Korean catfish, provided evidences for important synthetic processes in an early preparatory phase of oocyte development. The electrophoretic pattern of major band in mature stage was much thicker (24 k, 66 k, 90-110k dalton) than that in previtellogenic phase.
To investigate on the biochemical characteristics of muscle fiber, myofibrils and actomyosins were prepared front red muscle and white muscle, and their ATPase activities and SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoretic patterns were compared. Also biochemical characteristics of bovine muscle were compared with those of chicken muscle for the detection of species characteristics. SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoretic analysis indicated that red muscle contained nlore 30K component of myofibril than white muscle. Differences in KCI concen-tration dependency of actomyosin ATPase activities and ATPase activity-pH cone were observed, when bovine muscle were compared with chicken muscle.
The interspecific relationships of the genus Leucophenga, L.concilia, L.maculata, L.orientalis , and L.quinquenmaculipennis were investigated by soluble proteins analysis. the electrophoretic banding patterns of the four species analyzed by SDS-PAGE were scanned by densitormeter. The soluble protein patters of L.maculata and L.concilia by SDS-PAGE appeared similarly and on the other hand, those of L.quinquemaculipennis had a different forms from three other species. The genetic distance among the four species of TDE analysis was calculated by formula of the Aquadro and Avis(1981) . The genetic distance between L.maculata and L.concilia was 0.393 , the lowest of all and between L.maculata and L.quinquemaculipennis was 0.496, the highest of all. The dendrogram was established using UPGMA method based on genetic distance obtained by TDE analysis. Clustered patterns as follows ; first, L.maculata and L.concilia were clustered, and L.orientalis and L. quinquemaculipennis followed the firstone in order. In consequence, it seems that the interspecific relationship of L.quinquemaculipennis was farther from the other three species, while that of L.maculata and L.concilia was closer than that of L.orientalis.
When the light stimulus was presented continuously, habituations were formed, after 13 and 14 hrs in amoeba and planaria, repectively. As amoeba more habituated, the light-escaping velocity of streaming was decreased with a negative-exponential function. in two-dimensional electrophoretic patterns of proteins of amoeba habituated, a newly synthesized protein (pI 7.0, MW 20 kD) was detected. Therefore, it is conjectured that similarity or commonality may exist between amoeba and planaria habituations to light, and in these behavioral modifications, specific protein(s) may be involved in molecular level.
A electrophoretic study on seveal important enzymes was conducted with seed, leaf and stem of Benincasa hipida (Thunb) Cogn and Commelina communis L. Isozyme patterns of esterase were different from the parts and fruit of wax gourd appeared only one band. In the peroxidase isozyme, fruit of wax gourd appeared four bands, but stem of common dayflower no appeared. In the amylase isozyme, seed and fruit of 'gourd were appeared clearly one band, respectively.
Various tissue and follicular components were analyzed for the determination of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) isozyme patterns by electrophoretic technique with chromogen reaction in the pig. Optimum conditions for the tissue homogenate and the storage were finally established. Small quantities of follicular components were analysed for typing of LDH isozymes by microelectrophoresis. Microelectrophoretic analysis showed that only LDH-1 was visible in the oocytes, all isozymes in cumulus masses, and LDH-1, 2 and 3 in follicular fluid. The results provide critical information on the LDH activity of various tissues and follicular components. Furthermore, t he developed methods should be useful the analysis of LDH in the small quantity of samples, especially in the oocyte, and easily applicable to the oocyte and early embryos of other domestic species.

Myofibril and actomyosin were prepared from red muscle and white muscle of fresh water fish and sea water fish, and their biochemical characteristics and SDS PAGE patterns of myofibril were compared. SDS PAGE analysis showed that electrophoretic patterns of myofibril were similar be tween white muscle and red muscle, while difference of 30kDa component of myofibril was detected between fresh water fish and sea water fish. When myofibril were treated with trypsin, difference in hydrolysis of heavy chain was observed between white muscle and red muscle. In activities of Ca ATPase, Mg ATPase, EDTA ATPase and ATPase activity pH curve, myofibrillar protein from fresh water fish showed higher specific activity than those from sea water fish.
This study was performed to examine the electrophoretic properties of Job's tears (Yulmoo: Coix lachryma-jobi L. var. Ma-yuen Stapf. & Yeomjoo: Coix lachryma-jobi L.) proteins. Albumins, globulins, gliadins and glutelins were extracted from the polished Yulmoo and brown Yeomjoo by the modified Osborne method. For a comparison, rice proteins were extracted and fractionated by the same method. The relative proportions of protein fractions were 17.4 : 19.6 : 55.2 : 7.7% in polished Yulmoo, 12.6 : 62.2 : 4.2 :21.0% in brown Yeomjoo and 14.2 : 57 4 : 0.77 : 27.8% in rice, in the order of albumis, globulins, gliadins and glutelins. Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) and SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) were peformed to identify the subfractions of each protein fraction extracted from polished Yulmoo, brown Yeomjoo and rice. The electro-phoregrams of polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis showed that the same fractions of both polished Yulmoo protein and brown Yeomjoo protein had very similar electrophoretic patterns to each other respectively, but there were significant differences in the patterns between Job's tears proteins and rice proteins.
