정자기장과 맥동전자기장이 MC3T3-E1 세포의 ALP 및 DNA 활성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Static Magnetic Field and Pulsed Electromagnetic Field on Alkaline Phosphatase and DNA synthetic Activity of ME3T3-E1 Cells)

  • 정자기장과 맥동전자기장이 배양 조골세포에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 MC3T3-E1세포를 각 자기장하에서 배양하여 ALP활성도와 DNA의 합성능을 평가한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 정자기장을 가한 군에서 자석을 1,2,3개 가한 군($51\~114.8mT$)에서 대조군에 비하여 ALP의 유의성있는 증가가 나타났으며(P<0.05), 자석을 4개 5개 가한 군(150mT)에서는 대조군에 비하여 ALP활성도에 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 2. 맥동성 전자기장에서는 대조군에 비하여 ALP활성도에 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 3. DNA합성능은 정자기장과 맥동성 전자기장을 가한 군 모두 대조군에 비하여 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 이상의 결과 정자기장에 의한 교정력은 골세포의 대사과정에 변화를 줄 수 있으므로, 치아이동에 어떠한 영항을 줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

가공 송전선 형상변화에 따른 지표면 자계저감율 계산 (Calculations on the Reduction Rate of Ground Level Magnetic Fields due to Varying Configurations of Overhead Transmission Line)

  • There are concerns on possible health effects from exposure to electromagnetic fields. One reflection of this concerns is the considerable controversy, delay, and cost increases involved in the construction of power lines and facilities. To cope with such challenges, in this paper we investigated magnetic fields reduction techniques such as general compaction, in' span compaction, cruciform, vertical, 3 way splits phase, and 4way splits phase. As results, we found general compaction and 4 way splits phase could reduce magnetic fields up to 90%, while cruciform, vertical, and 3 way splits phase gave lower reduction rates of 30% because these configurations were similar to a current type of low reactance arrangement. We also knew 1 spacer in span compaction was appropriate in Korea in view of effectiveness and economy.

표준화된 인체모델을 이용한 공진형 무선전력전송 시스템의 효율 변화 및 인체 안전성 분석 (Efficiency and EMF Safety Analysis of Wireless Power Transfer System Using Standard Human Model)

  • In this paper, resonant wireless power transfer systems are designed with double loop resonant coils for the resonant frequency of 150kHz. The transfer efficiency characteristics is analyzed according to the coil size, and the distance and misalignment between the coils. Then the change in efficiency is investigated when a human model is located between the resonant coils using the homogeneous human phantom of IEC-62311 standard. Also, in order to assess the safety of the wireless power transfer system, the induced current density inside the human model is calculated when it is exposed to the magnetic field of a plane wave and resonant coil. Then, the results are compared with the exposure limits in the EMF (electromagnetic field) safety guidelines.

  • This paper gives the activities and trend analysis handled in the ITU-T study group 5 meeting. In the meeting, the title of SG(Study Group)5 was changed into 'Environment and climate change' since the role of the former Focus Group 'ICT and Climate Change' was moved to SG5. SG5 consists of 3 WP(Working Part) and have total 20 Questions. The Recommendations to be established or revised were discussed and new Recommendations, K.79 and K.80, were consented. The agenda for the human exposure to electromagnetic fields due to radio systems and mobile equipment was focused and discussed in detail. Also, related to ICT and climate change, new questions to be studied in this study period were discussed and defined.

  • 본 논문에서는 향후 우리나라에 전자계 규제가 이루어질 경우 국민이 부담해야하는 사회 경제적 비용을 추정하였다. 여기에서 사회 경제적 비용의 추정은 전자계 규제치를 만족하기 위해 선로 지상고만을 조정하였을때 추가되는 건설비용을 기준으로 한 기초적 검토 결과로써 송전선로 표준 모델을 사용하여 예측한 결과 $20{\mu}T$로 기준 설정시 부터 사회 경제적 비용이 발생함을 알 수 있었으며, $10{\mu}T$로 기준 설정 시에는 약 20조원의 추가 비용이 발생할 것으로 예상된다.

  • Magnitudes of Magnetic field, Electronic field and Microwave was measured during the each stage of flight in the airline operation. The results was much higher than the safety standard and proved to be serious to the cockpit crews on their duty. We also identified that the magnitude of electronic field was much decreased by all three kinds of microwave protection equipments. We recommend that the cockpit crew have to wear the protection clothes to reduce the hazardous effects on their duty and the aircraft manufacturers have to consider the microwave-reduced cockpit in the initial stage of aircraft design.

A New Method to Estimate the Induced Electric Field in the Human Child Exposed to a 100 kHz-10 MHz Magnetic Field Using Body Size Parameters

  • In this paper, a new and simple method is proposed to quickly estimate the induced electric field in the human child exposed to a 100 kHz-10 MHz magnetic field, for the sake of electromagnetic field (EMF) safety assessment. The quasi-static finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method is used to calculate the induced electric fields in high resolution 3D human child models with various body size parameters, in order to derive the correction factor for the estimation equation. The calculations are repeated for various frequencies and incident angles of the magnetic field. Based on these calculation results, a new and simple estimation equation for the 99th percentile value of the body electric field is derived that depends on the body size parameters, and the incident magnetic field. The estimation errors were equal to or less than 5.1%, for all cases considered.

  • In recent years, the electromagnetic environments are varied with the increase of power consumption and the spread of household electric appliances. Most of the interests to date have concentrated in the area of human health effects associated with exposure to power frequency electric and magnetic fields, and thus the precise measurement and analysis are required. In this paper, the measurements and analysis of the extremely low frequency(ELF) electric and magnetic fields produced by actual 22.9[kV] distribution lines were performed. The experiments have been carried out by lateral profile, and the theoretical analyses were made by use of FIELDS program for the sate of comparison with the experimental data. Electric and magnetic field intensity were strong under power distribution lines, and were inversely proportional to lateral distance. The profiles of electric and magnetic fields were M and ∩ shapes, respectively, and the measured data were good in agreement with the theoretical results. Both the electric and magnetic field intensity were increased with increasing the measurement height.

Development of 7-Year-Old Korean Child Model for Computational Dosimetry

  • A whole-body voxel model of a 7-year-old male volunteer was developed from 384 axial magnetic resonance images (MRIs). The MRIs were acquired with intervals of 3 mm for the entire body in a body coil. In order to reduce the MRI acquisition time for the child, the repetition and echo times under T1 weighted image were chosen to be 566 ms and 8 ms, respectively. The MRIs were classified according to 30 types of tissues with known electrical parameters. The developed voxel model was adjusted to the physical average of 7-year-old Korean boys. The body weight of the adjusted model, calculated with the mass tissue densities, is within a 6% difference from the 50th percentile weight.

송변전 지리정보 시스템을 이용한 고압 송전선과 거주지 간 이격거리에 대한 인식 평가 (Evaluating the Perception of Distance to High-Voltage Power Lines from Home Using Transmission and Substation Geographic Information System)

  • 이번 연구에서는 송변전 지리정보 시스템(Transmission and substation Geographic Information System: TGIS)을 이용하여 일반인들이 판단한 고압 송전탑 및 송전선, 변전소와 거주지 간 거리 인식이 실측 거리와 일치하는지 확인해 보았다. 총 725명의 응답자 중 136명이 고압 송전탑 및 송전선, 변전소가 눈에 보이는 거리에 있다고 응답하였고, 이 중 114명이 TGIS로 분석할 수 있는 유효한 주소를 제공하였다. 114명 중 42명(36.8 %)은 실측 거리보다 인식 거리가 짧았으며, 15명(13.2 %)은 인식 거리보다 실측 거리가 짧았다. 일반인들의 고압 송전탑 및 송전선, 변전소와 거주지 간 거리 예측의 타당도가 높지 않은 점을 바탕으로 했을 때, 이를 극저주파 전자기장 노출량의 대용물로 사용하는 것은 부적절할 것으로 보인다.
