The Compact Hairpin-Shaped Duplexer using a BMT Substrate with a High Dielectric Constant (고유전율의 BMT 기판을 이용한 소형 헤어핀 구조의 듀플렉서 설계)

  • In this paper, a compact planar microwave duplexer on the high dielectric substrate is presented. As the Ba(Mg$\sub$1/3/Ta$\sub$2/3/)O$_3$(BMT) has good dielectric performances with a high dielectric constant of $\varepsilon$$\sub$r/=23, it is suitable to apply to a printed circuit board fur reducing its circuit size. The BMT substrate is fabricated by using a tape casting fabrication process, and circuit patterns are screen-printed on it by suing silver paste. The open-loop ring type duplexer is designed and implemented on the BMT substrate, and it achieves the smaller size by 80% than one on a commercial substrate($\varepsilon$$\sub$r/=6.15) without degenerating its performance. Therefore the proposed BMT substrate has provided the miniaturization of the duplexer, moreover it can make a contribution towards reducing the size of microwave passive circuits.

Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Behavior of a Fe-based Nanocrystalline Alloy mixed with a Ferrite Powder (Fe계 나노결정립 분말과 페라이트 복합체의 전자파 흡수특성)

  • The electromagnetic (EM) wave absorption properties of the $Fe_{73}Si_{16}B_7Nb_3Cu_1$ nanocrystalline powder mixed with 5 to 20 vol% of Ni-Zn ferrites has been investigated in a frequency range from 100MHz to 10GHz. Amorphous ribbons prepared by a planar flow casting process were pulverized and milled after annealing at 425 for 1 hour. The powder was mixed with a ferrite powder at various volume ratios to tape-cast into a 1.0mm thick sheet. Results showed that the EM wave absorption sheet with Ni-Zn ferrite powder reduced complex permittivity due to low dielectric constant of ferrite compared with nanocrystalline powder, while that with 5 vol% of ferrite showed relatively higher imaginary part of permeability. The sheet mixed with 5 vol% ferrite powder showed the best electromagnetic wave absorption properties at high frequency ranges, which resulted from the increased imaginary part of permeability due to reduced eddy current.

  • Apply electromagnetic stirring system to making rheology slurry of Al7075. This experiment has important element which is the relation between solid fraction percent and melt temperature of Al7075. The rheology slurry of Al7075 eliminated liquid phase to include alloying element of copper and zinc by squeeze casting process. In result the most structure was composed entirely of globular primary $\alpha$. Used this material for this study. This study made a comparison of mechanical property according to heat treatment T6 at each melt temperature ($619^{\circ}C$ and $615^{\circ}C$). The microstructure and component are observed how heat treatment T6 weight with the mechanical property by SEM-EDS.

  • 본 고에서는 태양전지 모듈 원가의 60% 이상을 차지하는 실리콘 기판의 생산성을 향상시키고 그에 따라 제조단가를 저감시키기 위한 일환으로 최근 들어 일본과 프랑스를 중심으로 중점적으로 기술개발이 이루어지고 있는 EMCC법 (Electro Magnetic Continuous Casting)에 의한 다결정 실리콘 잉고트의 제조기술에 관하여 연구하였다. 특히, 태양전지급의 고순도 잉고트로 제조하기 위해 높은 용융점과 낮은 전기전도도를 갖는 실리콘의 용해 및 주조 공정이 수냉되는 cold crucible 내에서 이루어지게 됨에 따라 발생하는 종래의 EMCC법의 문제점을 해결하고자, 코일전류 및 도가니 구조 등이 Joule 가열 효과 및 pinch 효과에 미치는 영향을 체계적으로 조사하였다. 연구 결과 대용량의 전원장치나 별도의 2차 가열원을 사용하지 않고서도 실리콘 원료의 가열 및 용해 효율을 현격히 향상시키며 용탕의 전 구간에 걸쳐 전자기력을 용탕의 정수압보다 큰 상태로 유지할 수 있는 EMCC용 무접촉성 도가니의 설계기술 및 이를 활용하는 전자기연주공정기술을 확립하였으며, 그 결과 직경 5cm의 실리콘 잉고트를 1,5mm/min의 속도로 무접촉 조건에서 연속주조할 수 있었다.

  • The development of manufacturing process of silicon (Si) ingots is one of the important issues to the growth of the photovoltaic industry. Polycrystalline Si wafers shares more than 60% of the photovoltaic market due to its cost advantage compared to mono crystalline silicon wafers. Several solidification processes have been developed by industry including casting, heat exchange method (HEM) and electromagnetic casting. In this paper, the advanced directional solidification (ADS) method is used to growth of large sized polycrystalline Si ingot. This method has the advantages of the small heat loss, short cycle time and efficient directional solidification. The numerical simulation of the process is applied using a fluid dynamics model to simulate the temperature distribution. The results of simulations are confirmed efficient directional solidification to the growth of large sized polycrystalline Si ingot above 240 kg.

Microstructural Evolution of Electromagnetically Stirred Al alloy Billet During Isothermal Reheating at the Solid-liquid State (전자기 교반한 알루미늄합금 빌렛의 재가열시 고액공존구역에서의 조직변화)

  • The reheating stage of electromagnetically stirred Al billet is a critical factor in the thixoforming process. When reheated to the solid-liquid state, the microstructure evolves to a more globular and more homogeneous structure by a coarsening mechanism, the kinetics depending on the initial microstructure. Microstructural evolution has been characterized by conventional parameters (mean size of particle and shape factor) as a function of holding time in the solid-liquid state. The aim of this study is to report experimental results concerning microstructural evolution in the solid-liquid state of electromagnetically stirred Al billet. The material was elaborated in the form of continuously cast bars solidified with electromagnetic stirring to degenerate the dendritic structure. The choice of the reheating conditions is determined by a dendritic ripening and coalescence mechanism, involving variations of both the shape and size of the particles. The reheating time has to be long enough to allow a minimum degree of spheroidizing, but has to be limited as much as possible in order to avoid excessive ripening. The optimum microstructure was obtained at the reheating temperature of near $584^{\circ}C$ and the holding time of 5 min. The only means of combining high productivity with good casting quality was to use feedstock billets whose microstructure showed rapid transformation characteristics.

Fabrication of a billet in the continuous casting process by means of a electromagnetic stirring (전자기교반에 의한 연속주조빌렛트제조)

  • 일반적으로 압출용 빌렛트제조에는 빌렛트상하의 품질변화로 수평연속주조법이 사용되지 않고 있지만 전자기교반법을 이용할 경우 이러한 단점이 없어진다. 따라서 전자기교반장치를 설치한 수평연속주조장치를 이용하여 연주빌렛트를 제조하였다. 최대자속밀도가 1000Gauss 인 전자기교반장치를 설계 제작하였으며, 간접냉각방식의 흑연몰드에서 알루미늄합금을 사용하여 건전한 연주빌렛트를 제조할 수 있는 여러 공정조건을 조사 검토하여 직경 70mm의 기포가 없고 표면이 미려한 등축정을 가진 연주빌렛트를 제조하였다. 인출속도에 따른 수평 연속주조 빌렛트의 표면, 용탕유동라인 및 조직을 검토한 결과 평균인출속도 20mm/min에서 40mm/min까지 아주 미려한 표면특성을 가졌으며, 인출속도가 빠르면 유동라인이 표면에서 중심 쪽으로 완만한 기울기를 가지게 되어 표면응고층이 얇아져 빌렛트가 고액계면에서 끊어지게 되며, 조직미세화는 인출속도가 클수록 미세화되었으나, 결정구상화정도는 인출속도가 빠를수록 악화되었다.

A Study on the Fabrication of Semi-solid Al Alloys by EMS Horizontal Continuous Casting Process (전자교반식 수평연속주조법에 의한 반응고 Al 합금의 제조에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, to fabricate the semi-solid Al alloy, the 3phase-2poles electromagnetic stirring system was adopted. The changes of primary grain size, aspect ratio, standard deviation, hardness and the size morphology of eutectic Si with pouring temperatures and input voltages were investigated. At the same pouring temperature, with increasing input voltage, aspect ratio, standard deviation and primary grain size were decreased. The optimum condition for fabrication of semisolid Al alloys by EMS horizontal continuous casting process was determined that the input voltage was 220V and the pouring temperature was 68$0^{\circ}C$. At this optimum conditions the primary grain size was 54$\mu\textrm{m}$, the aspect ratio was 1.56 and the size of eutectic Si was 0.5$\mu\textrm{m}$. The micro-hardness of the Al alloy was 72.1 Hv. The semi-solid A356 Al alloy which has very low aspect ratio and standard deviation value could be fabricated by adopting the EMS horizontal continuous casting facility that was manufactured for this study.
