Tantalum oxide ($Ta_2O_5$) films are of considerable interest for a range of application, including optical waveguide devices, high temperature resistors, and oxygen sensors. In this paper, we establish an anode oxidation process of tantalum thin film. The voltage drop in the electrolyte is affected not in voltage change but in current change. If the voltage drop in the electrolyte is same with cathode oxidation voltage, the current changes logarithmically in proportion to the voltage drop in interface of tantalum oxide and electrolyte. As a result of the measurement on the electrical property of tantalum oxide thin film, when the thickness of the insulator film is $1500{\AA}$, the breakdown voltage is 350volts and dielectric constant is 29.

The new type polymer electrolyte composed of polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA) - polyethy leneoxide(PEO) contain $LiClO_4$ -EC/PC was developed for the weightless and long or life time of lithium polymer batery system with using polyaniline electrode. the gel type electrolytes were prepared by PMMA with PEO at different lithium salts in the glove box. The minimum thickness of PMMA-PEO gel electrolyte for the slim type is about(400~450$\mu\textrm{m}$. These gel electrolyte showed good compatibility with lithium electrode. The test cell Li/polymer electrolyte/polyaniline solid state cell which was prepared by different lithium salt was researched by electrochemical technique.
Oxidation of phenol in aqueous media by electro-Fenton process using Ru-Sn-Sb/graphite electrode has been studied. Hydrogen peroxide was electrically generated by reaction of dissolved oxygen in acidic solutions containing supporting electrolyte and $Fe^{2+}$ was added in aqueous media. Phenol degradation experiments were performed in the presence of electrolyte media at pH 3. Effect of operating parameters such as current, electrolyte type (NaCl, KCl and $Na_2SO_4$) and concentration, $Fe^{2+}$ concentration, air flow rate and phenol concentration were investigated to find the best experimental conditions for achieving overall phenol removal. Results showed that current of 2 A, NaCl electrolyte concentration of 2g/l, 0.5M concentration of $Fe^{2+}$, air flow rate of 1l/min were the best conditions for mineralization of the phenol by electro-Fenton.

The electrical characteristics of galvanic cell which is composed of the cathode electrode(graphite, carbon and copper) and the anode electrode(Zn and Mg) were investigated. For this research as electrolyte 2~12 wt% NaCl aqueous solution were used. At graphite cathode electrodes which use Zn and Mg with the anode electrode, the open circuit voltage was 1.3V most highly. The maximum output power increased as the electrolyte concentration increased, due to a increase in ion density. When Zn and Mg with the anode electrode, the maximum output power respectively was evaluated as 2.2mW and 5.5mW about the graphite cathode electrode in the NaCl 4wt%. The research results indicated that the output power of cell which is composed with graphite with the cathode and Mg with the anode was most excellent and the efficiency of the cell could be enhanced by increasing the electrolyte concentration.
Monodisperse micron-sized polystyrene (PS) spheres were successfully obtained using a single stage soap-free emulsion method in aqueous media mixed with ethanol (co-solvent) containing NaCI as the electrolyte. The optimum conditions for preparing the monodisperse PS microspheres, using soap-free emulsion polymerization in a water/ethanol mixture with an electrolyte, were studied. The presence of the co-solvent and electrolyte controlled the particle dispersion stability during the polymerization. The microspheres formed using PS, with a weight-average diameter of $2.6{\mu}m$, coefficient of variation of 5.3% and zeta potential of -15.1 eV, were successfully obtained in the presence of 0.1 wt% NaCI, 10 wt% monomer, 0.1 wt% initiator and 95/5 (g/g) of a water/ethanol mixture reacted at $70^{\circ}C$ for 24 h.
The effects of the charged metal on the overall electrostatic potential profiles and the capacitances of the electrical double layer are brought out. A model with a simplified jellium and a point-charged electrolyte is utilized in the present calculations. Electrons are assumed not to penetrate electrode surface due to a strong screening of electrolyte at the interface. Electron density functions and ion density functions are obtained, which are also based upon the Poisson equation and Boltzmann equation on either side of the interface. A complete potential profile starting from bulk electrode and ending at bulk electrolyte is obtained by connecting the two potential profiles (one inside the metal electrode, the other inside the electrolyte) with proper boundary conditions. In spite of the simplicity of the model, the present model reveals the importance of the effect of the charged metal on the electrostatic potential profile and the electrical double layer capacitances. The results are discussed and compared with the predictions by Gouy Chapman theory.
In this report, we summarize recent progress in the development of electrolyte-gated transistors (EGTs) for various printed electronics. EGTs, employing a high capacitance electrolyte as gate dielectric layer in transistors, exhibits increasing of drive current, lowering operation voltage, and new transistor architectures. While the use of electrolytes in electronics goes back to the early days of silicon transistors, the new printable, fast-responsive polymer electrolytes are expanding their range of applications from printable and flexible digital circuits to various neuromorphic devices. This report introduces the structure and operating mechanism of EGT and reviews key developments in electrolyte materials used in printed electronics. Additionally, we will look at various applications with EGTs that are currently underway.

In this study, the battery performance change according to the change of electrolyte flow rate. With increase of electrolyte flow rate the energy efficiency showed tendency of decrease. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy results showed the increased resistance.
Spinel LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) has been considered as one of most promising cathode material, because of its low-cost and competitive energy density. However, 4.7V vs. Li/Li+ of high operating potential facilitates electrolyte degradation on cathode-electrolyte interface during charge-discharge process. In particular, commercial polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is not sutaible for LNMO cathode binder because its weak van der waals force induces thick and non-uniform coverage on the cathode surface. In this review, we study high performance binders for LNMO cathode, which forms uniform coating layer to prevent direct contact between electrolyte and LNMO particle as well as modifying high quality cathode electrolyte interphase, improved cell performace.
We report a series of novel imidazolium iodides based ionic liquids (NMIPHI, NAIPHI, and NBIPHI) with different functional groups for the development of a quasi-solid type electrolyte for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The diffusion coefficients of redox ions ($I^-$ and $I_3{^-}$) are dependent on the molecular weight and it was higher for lighter salts. Among the three ionic liquids, NMIPHI showed highest efficiency of 4.18% when it was used in a liquid electrolyte of a DSSC with $ca$. 6 ${\mu}m$ thick $TiO_2$ mesoporous film. Even though the efficiency was $ca$. 19% lower than that obtained from a liquid electrolyte composed of PMII. When NMIPHI was mixed with PMII with a molar ratio of 1:1 in a solvent free electrolyte, the efficiency of the DSSCs was enhanced compared to that based on pristine PMII.
