  • This phenomena of streaming-electrification is generated between solid and liquid boundary called electric double-layer which is generated by potential difference. A charge separation at interfaces between a moving fluid and a solid boundary can give rise to the generation of substantial electric field and at last these can give rise ta insulating failure. Therefore injection of the adverse-charge in streaming-electrified insulating oil to eliminate the accumulation charge and its related phenomena was investigated.

  • The streaming electrification process of vegetable insulating oils occurring when the oils contacted with solid material in a high power transformer circulation system seems to cause electrical discharge incidents and may cause failures. We therefore measured the dielectric breakdown voltage tendency of vegetable insulating oils flowing on the surface of the charging device with various velocity and temperature. First, the relation between the velocity and breakdown voltage tendency of vegetable oils, can be explained by volume effect and v-t effect. Second, experimental results show that applied voltage have little effect on dielectric breakdown voltage, when vegetable insulating oils used for large power transformer.

  • Influence of Velocity and Temperature on Streaming Electrification of Insulating Oil is investigated by injection method. Leakage current is increased slightly with increasing temperature in the temperature range 20 to $80^{\circ}C$ at low flow rate, however, it show a peak in the temperature 40 to $60^{\circ}C$ at high flow rate. Leakage current is also increased linearly with increasing flow rate in the flow rate range 1 - 31/min but thereafter, it is increased abruptly with increasing flow rate.

Comparison of Intelligent Charging Algorithms for Electric Vehicles to Reduce Peak Load and Demand Variability in a Distribution Grid

  • A potential breakthrough of the electrification of the vehicle fleet will incur a steep rise in the load on the electrical power grid. To avoid huge grid investments, coordinated charging of those vehicles is a must. In this paper, we assess algorithms to schedule charging of plug-in (hybrid) electric vehicles as to minimize the additional peak load they might cause. We first introduce two approaches, one based on a classical optimization approach using quadratic programming, and a second one, market based coordination, which is a multi-agent system that uses bidding on a virtual market to reach an equilibrium price that matches demand and supply. We benchmark these two methods against each other, as well as to a baseline scenario of uncontrolled charging. Our simulation results covering a residential area with 63 households show that controlled charging reduces peak load, load variability, and deviations from the nominal grid voltage.

  • The purpose of this study is to find the way to reduce the electrostatics by interface activation substances added in the insulating oil with concentration[ppm]. As results. The streaming current, surface tension and viscosity of the samples added nonionic and hermaphrodic substances are decreased but the conductivity is increased at higher point than the 1[ppm] (c.m.c.), the other side the same phenomena of the samples added cationic and anionic substances are discovered at the 10[ppm].

  • Recently, the high speed train was operated and then the train system's reliability requirements are growing more and more. The exact prediction simulation is necessary in the design of power feeding system by the increase of railway electrification. In order to develope the AC feeding system analysis technology, real-time power simulator was manufactured. It is composed to eight channels analog input, forty channels analog output and forty-eight channels digital I/O. The size of simulator rack is 19" and the two I/O boards are installed the PXI chassis built into the real time os. The signal I/O is possible through BNC connector. The test results of manufactured simulator are obtained that the error range of analog I/O signal is below 1 % and simulation condition is set to 1 ms and the simulation output of the analog output compares the results of the simulator.

  • Railway is the most effective transportation than any other traffic. But due to the its expensive maintenance fee and various components like roadbed, rail, rollingstock, electric and signal etc, the construction cost of the railway is usually higher than highway. Such a reason, a lot of cost and period are needed to complete the railway project. In addition that considering the decreasing of the SOC budget, the investment in the railway industry is getting hard than ever. This study analyzed the cost, term of work, freight & passenger transportation demand of the wide area railway electrification project and main line improvement project. And it compared the estimation value and real value of the projects like cost and period etc. And this study surveyed the economic feasibility including factors which are not considered in the feasibility study guide. With those results, This study suggest the project management and evaluation method to enlarge the efficiency of the railway construction project.

  • KTX is going to directly operate on the existing plate girder bridges before the complete construction of new high-speed line. Also the speed and traffic volume is increased after electrification of conventional line. Then, it is necessary to check the dynamic behaviors of these bridges. Therefore, this paper reviews the dynamic behaviors of welded plate girder bridges designed by L-22, a standard load type of KNR. The span lengths of plate girder analyzed here are 6.6m, 9.7m, 12.9m, 16.0m, 19.2m, 22.3m, 25.4m and 31.1m. Using 2-D dynamic analysis, vertical deflection ratios of plate girder and maximum accelerations of car body are calculated. And the analytical results are compared with those of design criteria.

  • 최근들어, 도시철도 전력설비에는 온라인 상태진단이 가능한 센서를 설치하여 각 기기의 상태를 상시 감시하는 시스템이 도입되고 있다. 이러한 기술이 적용됨으로써 전력설비의 교체 주기를 판단하고, 사고를 미연에 방지 하는 등의 최적의 관리를 할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 운영기관에 따라 다양한 방법의 진단설비가 설치되어 있어 유지보수가 어려워, 도시철도에 적합한 진단시스템의 개발이 요구되어 지고 있다. 도시철도 주요 전기설비로는 변압기, 단로기, 차단기, 정류기 등이 있다. 현재 이를 진단하기 위한 방법으로는 각 장치에 따라 부분방전시험, 유전정접시험, 절연유분석시험, 차단기동작시험 등이 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재 국내 외에서 제시되고 있는 전기설비의 온라인 상태진단 기술을 조사하고, 상용화된 온라인 상태진단 시스템을 분석하여 도시철도 전기설비에 적용 가능한 상태진단 항목과 상태진단 기법을 조사, 분석하였다.
