  • There are several facilities in Kochang distribution test center such as artificial fault generator(AFG), new distribution automation system(NDAS), communication networks (wireless and optic), lumped constant circuit, switches for distribution automation, overhead and underground distribution line. We have been field testing on remote control, data acquisition. remote metering, feeder automation and so on for distribution automation using those equipment.

  • This paper describes the electric field distribution of high voltage polymer bushing with inner field shaper designs. The field control can be achieved by means of the designs of such internal field shaper. But high electric stress occurred between field shaper and central conductor by the closely space. In accordance, the floating and ring shield designs was importance for electric stress grading at critical parts of the bushing. The bushing has a central conductor, and internal ring shield or floating shield, gaps are formed between field shaper and ring shield. Accordance equipotential lines extend through gaps. Maxwell 2D simulator based on the boundary element method was also introduced in order to verify the reliability of the polymer bushing.

  • Measurement technique of three dimensional electric field distribution in liquid dielectrics have been studied. Kerr effect and computed tomography(CT) method have been used. Measuring time has been shortened by the use of multi-optical systems to less than several milliseconds. Near future, electric field distribution in front of a streamer tip of breakdown would be measured.

  • This paper describes BIEM(Boundary Integral Equation Method) for computation of three dimensional electric field distribution and numerical method that an equivalent charge density is unknown variable. After computing numerically the surface charge distribution. the distribution of both potential and electric field are obtained. Finally, this numerical method is applied to the concentric sphere and the coaxial cylindrical model and numerical result is compared to the analytic solution.

  • The relation between electric current and magnetic field under three overhead transmission lines being operated was studied. It was examined for a difference each other in comparison with calculated value and measured value for current, magnetic field. With magnetic field equations made out, The magnetic field distribution around transmission lines had made to figure out with easy by load electric current value. Additionally, we are going to describe the distribution curve of magnetic exposure volume for KEPCO's T/L.

  • In this work the recyclable new polyethylene(PE) and polypropylene(PP), which are thermoplastic, have been investigated as the eco-friendly insulating candidates to replace the cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). The temperature dependence of conductivities of these materials has been measured and its effects on electric field and space charge distribution in polymeric insulated power cable under temperature gradient have been calculated. It is shown that the sensitivity of conductivity to temperature change has more critical influence to determine the electric field distribution in the power cable than the absolute value of conductivity does and it can be said that the temperature dependence is one of most important factors for the power cable design.

  • This paper explained electric field distribution's characteristics of dielectric pellets with a shape of ball to voltage. When discharge gap of electrode and input voltage are each 20[mm], 10000[V], the electric field simulation results of dielectric pellets with a shape of ball with relative dielectric constant of several kind measured stronger electric field near electric pellets with a shape of ball of ${\phi}5$[mm] than $1{\phi}$[mm] and $3.33{\phi}$[mm] at atmosphere. And the maximum electric field of dielectric pellets with a shape of ball over ${\phi}5$[mm] increased about 5[%] to maximum electric field of electric pellets with a shape of ball ${\phi}5$[mm]. And the result of simulation, when relative dielectric constant of dielectric pellets with a shape of ball is 100, it measured about 90[%] of maximum electric field of dielectric pellets with a shape of ball with relative dielectric constant over 1000.

Simulation Study of Corona Discharge According to Flue Gas Conditions (배기가스 조건에 따른 코로나 방전 현상 시뮬레이션)

  • In order to provide some insights into the influence of electric field, gas composition, and gas temperature on electron energy distribution and electron transport characteristics, the Boltzmann equation was solved by using cross section data for electron collisions, Critical electric fields for the corona development in dry air and flue gas are 150 and 80 Td, respectively. It was seen that the decrease of critical electric field in flue gas is mainly caused by the $H_2O$ addition through the comparison of ionization and attachment coefficients of gas components. Increase of $O_2$, $H_2O$, and $CO_2$ contents in gas affected discharge characteristics according to their reciprocal characteristics between lowering the ionization threshold and increasing the electro-negativity. As electric field increases, electrons with higher energies in the electron energy distribution also increase. The mean and characteristic electron energies also linearly increase with electric field. The variation of flue gas temperature did rarely affect on the electron energy distribution function and electron transport characteristics, because the gas temperature is several hundreds or thousands times lower than the electron temperature.

  • This paper describes the electric field distribution analysis along a shield form inner vacuum interrupter(VI). The equipotential line and electric field and field vector in a VI are analysed by a finite element method at various shield form. in result, The equipotential line and electric field distribution was affected to VI shield gap. The reason is as it gets distortion of equipotential line done. finally, this paper recognized whether or not affected, and proposed gap with the most suitable shield length and an external insulation.

  • In this paper, the analysis o fthe electric field distribution for TEM cell which is matched iwth 50 is performed, and the relations of variables for characteristic impedance are derived. Quasi-static approximations are used to calculate the fiedl strength of the internal field of TEM cell. The results of the improved method for analysis of the electric field is compared with that of R.J. Spigel. and the improved method for characteristic impedance and the results of numerical analysis are shown.
