Dry Etch Process Development for TFT-LCD Fabrication Using an Atmospheric Dielectric Barrier Discharge

  • We present the development of dry etch process for the liquid crystal display (LCD) fabrication using a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) system at atmospheric pressure. In this experimental work, the dry etch characteristics and the electrical properties of thin film transistor are evaluated by using the scanning electron microscopy and electric probe, and TFT-LCD panel ($300\;mm\;{\times}\;400\;mm$) is manufactured with the application of the amorphous silicon etch step in the 4 mask and 5 mask processes.

  • Polarized Fourier transform infrared (IR) absorption is used to probe molecular conformation in a ferroelectric liquid crystal (FLC) during the reorientation induced by the external field. Spectra of planar aligned cells of FLC W314 are measured as functions of IR polarizer orientation and electric field applied to the FLC. The time evolution of the dichroism of the absorbance due to biphenyl core and alkyl tail molecular vibration modes, is observed. Static IR dichroism experiments show a W314 dichroism structure in which the principal axis of dielectric tensor from molecular core vibration are tilted further from the smectic layer normal than those of the tail. This structure indicates the effective binding site in which the molecules are confined in the Sm-C phase has, on average, "zig-zag" shape and this zig-zag binding site structure is rigidly maintained while the molecular axis rotates about the layer normal during field-induced switching.

  • We carried out the experiments for fabricating $Bi_{2}Sr_{2}Ca_{2}Cu_{3}O_{x}$(Bi2223) superconductor thick films on Cu tapes. Cu-free (Bi,Pb)-Sr-Ca-0 powder mixtures were screen- printed on Cu tapes and heat-treated at 840-$860^{\circ}C$ for several minutes in air. Surface microstructures and phases of films were analyzed by XRD and optical microscope. The electric properties of superconducting films were examined by the four probe method. At heat-treatment temperature, the printing layers were in a partially molten state by liquid reaction between CuO in the oxidized copper tape and the precursors which were printed on Cu tapes. During the heat-treatment procedure, it is thought that Bi2223 superconducting particles nucleate at interfaces between Bi2212 phase and liquid.

  • The tool wear that is developed by long-term machining in mold manufacturing with machining center makes a severe influence to the accuracy and the surface roughness. In this reason, tool-wear supervising system which has guaranteed high accuracy and high speed is needed to improve the measurement quality. Touching probe and touch sensor are widely used to measure the tool profile at on-machine measurement. In this paper, using the newly developed electric touch point measuring system, the Automatic Tool Compensation System is developed to correct the error of tool diameter resulted from the wear, and the operating method of this system is also provided.

  • 본 연구에서는 직경오차를 최종 다듬질 가공 직전에 선반의 주축 정지 상태에 서 공구대에 부착시킨 전기마이크로미터로 측정하는 방법을 이용하여, 어떠한 공작물 형상에 대해서도 오차 측정경로를 NC 프로그램으로 자동 생성하고 이를 이용하여 직경 오차를 측정, 보정하는 알고리즘을 제안함과 동시에 수정된 최종 다듬질 가공용 NC프 로그램을 자동적으로 생성하는 시스템을 개발하고자 한다.

  • Cu-free Bi-Sr-Ca-O powder mixtures were screen-printed on Cu tapes and heat-treated at 850-$870^{\circ}C$ for several minutes in air, oxygen, nitrogen and low oxygen pressure. Cu-free precursors were composed of Bi_{x}$SrCaO_{y}$ (x=1.2-2). In order to obtain the optimum heat-treatment condition, we studied on an effect of the precursor composition, the printing thickness and the heat-treatment atmosphere on the superconducting properties of Bi2212 films and the reaction mechanism of their rapid formation. Microstructures and phases of thick films were analyzed by optical microscope and XRD. The electric properties of superconducting films were examined by the four probe method. At heat-treatment temperature, the thick films were in a partially molten state by liquid reaction between CuO in the oxidized copper tape and the precursors which were printed on Cu tapes.

  • Fusarium 균 중에서 section Liseola 에 속하는 8균주에 대하여 CHEF-PFGE를 이용하여 핵형을 분석비교하였다. 0.75 Mb에서 6.45Mb 크기의 DNA band가 9~13개로 분리되었고 전체 genome 크기는 38.19 Mb에서 43.22Mb 였으며 종간, 종내에서 염색체 길이 다형성을 볼 수 있었다. F. moniliforme 로부터 얻은 IGS sequence(2.6Kb), Neurospora crassa 의 chs-2 gene(2.8Kb) 과 trp-3gene(3.8 Kb)을 probe로 하여 hybridization을 통하여 이들 gene 의 위치를 확인하고자 하였다.

  • ZnO:Al thin film for application to FBAR's bottom electrode using ZnO piezoelectric thin film were prepared by FTS, in order to improve the crystallographic properties of ZnO thin films because the ZnO:Al thin film and ZnO thin films structure is equal each other. So we prepared the ZnO:Al thin film with oxygen gas flow rate.   • In this study, Acquisition system is proposed to acquire 3 dimensional data of the free surface model using direct pulse control to machining center. Todo this, I/F to connect between manual operating handle and computer is made, and 3 dimensional shape measuring algorithm using Z-map is applied. The 3 dimensional shape data of the free surface model measured by laser displacement sensor and electric touch probe are achieved directly. Performance of the proposed system is evaluated through measurement of various shape model.
