부모간의 갈등 및 성인애착에 따른 대학생의 자아탄력성 (The Impact of Parents′ Marital Conflict and Adult Attachment on College Students′ Ego-Resiliency)

  • This study investigated the impact of parents' marital conflict and adult attachment on ego-resiliency among college students. The participants were three hundred sixty six undergraduate students (118 men and 248 women) enrolled in a university in Gyeongbuk Province. Survey questionnaires were used to measure parents' marital conflict perceived by the students, adult attachment, and ego-resiliency. Data were analyzed by means, standard deviations, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, correlation, and multiple regressions. Results are summarized in the following: (1) Male students' ego-resiliency level was higher than lunate students'. (2) Students' ego-resiliency was higher in the group whose parents remained married than in the group whose parents did not. (3) The level of parents' marital conflict perceived by students was negatively correlated with their ego-resiliency. The level of adult attachment was positively correlated with students' ego-resiliency. (4) Regression analysis showed that adult attachment was more influential on college students' ego-resiliency than parents' marital conflict as perceived by the students.

보육교사의 놀이성이 자아탄력성을 매개로 직무소진에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Childcare Teacher's Playfulness on Burnout Through Ego-resiliency)

  • Objective: This study explored the effect of childcare teacher's playfulness on burnout through ego-resiliency. Methods: The participants of this study were 265 childcare teachers working at childcare centers. Data was collected through questionnaire on teacher's palyfulness, ego-resiliency and burnout were analyzed with descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation analysis using AMOS 10.0 and SPSS 21.0. The path included in the study model was verified by Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) and for the analysis of the mediating effect, Bootstrapping was used. Results: First, childcare teachers' playfulness had a negative influence on burnout. Second, childcare teachers' ego-resiliency had a negative influence on burnout. Third, childcare teachers' playfulness had a positive influence on ego-resiliency. Fourth, childcare teachers' playfulness had an indirect effect on burnout through ego-resiliency. The effect of childcare teachers' playfulness on their burnout was completely mediated by ego-resiliency. Conclusion/Implications: When developing a program to intervene in the burnout of childcare teachers, there needs to be more concern about ego-resiliency than playfulness.

자아탄력성에 대한 개념분석 (A Concept Analysis of Ego-resiliency)

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to clarify the concept of ego-resiliency in the context of nursing and to propose a definition of ego-resiliency. Methods: Rodgers' evolutionary approach to concept analysis was used to identify common attributes, antecedents, and consequences of the term ego-resiliency. A literature search of the RISS, NDSL, NAL, CINAHL, PubMed, MEDLINE, PsycINFO, and Scopus databases from 1980 to 2014 was conducted, using the key words of ego-resiliency, ego-resilience, and ego-resilient. Thirty-four relevant articles and one book were finally selected and throughly reviewed. Results: The results of the concept analysis concluded that ego-resiliency was a individualized, integrated, and coping resource and capacity leading personal adaptive capacity including physical, psychological, social well being in various adversity and challenge of life. Conclusion: The findings of this study warranted nursing research on a development of nursing intervention related with ego-resiliency as a pivotal personal characteristic. By doing so, better understanding of human and health within the context of nursing could be achieved.

교정시설 청소년이 지각하는 스트레스와 학교생활적응이 자아탄력성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Stress and the School Adjustment on the Ego-Resiliency of Juveniles in Correctional Facility)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the stress and the school adjustment on the ego-resiliency of juvenile. The sample size of this study is 283, which makes it possible to do statistical inferences. As statistical methods, multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis with SPSS 10.0 is used. The results were as follows: First, friends part, among the four sub-factors of stress, affect negatively ego-resiliency. Second, interest about school life, among the three sub-factors of school adjustment, affect positively ego-resiliency. Third, observation of school norm, among the three sub-factors of school adjustment, affect negatively ego-resiliency. Based of these results, this study suggested that how to elevate ego-resiliency of juvenile delinquencies.

아동의 비만스트레스가 우울에 미치는 영향에 대한 자아탄력성의 중재효과 (The Mediating Effects of Ego-Resiliency on the Relationship between Child's Obsesity Stress and Depression)

  • This study examined the relationships between children's stress about obsesity and depression. In order to expand the study on the relationships, special attention was given to the possible moderator effects of child's ego-resiliency. The subjects were 494 4th and 6th graders residing in Seoul. It was found that 6th grade children's stress about obesity and depression was higher more than 4th graders in every boys and girls. Otherwise, 4th grade children's ego resiliency more higher in girls, 6th grade children's ego resiliency more higher in boysn. Children's stress about obesity was significantly related with the levels of childre's depression. The results indicated that children's higher obesity stress was related to higher levels of children's depression. Children's ego resiliency were found to be a significant moderator of relationship between children's obesity stress and depression. These findings indicated that children's ego resiliency could fuction as a protecting factor for children who perceive obesity stress.

학령기 아동의 부/모애착과 자아탄력성과의 관계 : 자기역량감을 중심으로 (Father Attachment/Mother Attachment and Ego-Resiliency as Mediators of Self-Competence)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate relations among father attachment/mother attachment, self-competence and ego-resiliency in school aged children. Path analysis was utilized to examine relations among variables. The subjects were 701 school children attended in elementary schools in Daegu and Gyeongbuk Province. The collected data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling(SEM), by the use of SPSS 19.0. and AMOS 19.0 Results indicate that (1) Both of father attachment and mother attachment have not direct effect on ego-resiliency but self-competence has direct effect on ego-resiliency. (2) Father attachment and mother attachment influence ego-resiliency in paths through self-competence. And father attachment influence more on self-competence and ego-resiliency than mother attachment.

MMTIC에 의한 성격유형과 자아탄력성과의 관계 (Differences in Ego-Resiliency between Children's Personality Types)

  • The study was designed to lay the ground for effective guidance toward adaptive coping behavior by finding out differences in ego-resiliency in terms of personality types in the Murphy-Meisgeier Type Indicator for Children(MMTIC). For the study, personality types and ego-resiliency of 180 fifth- and sixth-grade students from 3 elementary schools located in Busan were measured. The instrument for personality types was MMTIC, which was developed by Meisgeier and Murphy in the US in 1990 and standardized in Korea in 1993 by Jungtaek Kim and Hyesook Shim. In order to measure Ego-Resiliency, Block & Kremen(1996)'s Ego-Resiliency scale translated and remodified by Sungkyung Yoo(2004) was used. The collected data were analyzed using ANOVA. The study found the followings: Firstly, according to the children's preference for personality types, participants' ego-resiliency scores appeared significantly higher in 'Extraversion', 'iNtuition', and 'Feeling' than in 'Introversion', 'Sensing', and 'Thinking' respectively. There was no significant difference in the score between in 'Judging' and 'Perceiving'. Secondly, according to function types of MMTIC, the participants' ego-resiliency score in 'iNtuition-Feeling' type showed the highest among scores in the other three types. The score in 'iNtuition-Feeling' type was significantly higher than 'Sensing-Thinking', 'Sensing-Feeling', and 'iNtuition-Thinking' type respectively.

어머니-유아의 의사소통이 유아의 또래유능성에 미치는 영향: 자아탄력성의 매개효과 (The Mediated Effect of Ego Resiliency on the Association between Mother-child Communication and Preschool Children's Peer Competence)

  • Objective: This study examined the association between mother-child communication and preschool children's peer competence mediated by ego resiliency Methods: The data from 318 preschool age children and their mothers in Seoul and Gyung-Gi province were used for this study. Mothers reported mother-child communication using three subscales from the revised parent-child communication inventory(Barnes & Oslom, 1982). This study used four subscales from the Korea Personality Inventory for Children (KPI-C)in order to calculate children's ego resiliency and used six subscales from the Child Behavior Scales(Ladd & Profile, 1996). The data were analyzed using Multiple Regression in SPSS 19.0. Results: Positive mother-child communication predicted a higher level of children's ego resiliency and peer competence. Ego resiliency fully mediated the association between mother-child communication and prosocial competence, rejection against peers and insecurity. And positive mother-child communication predicted lower levels of children's aggression, dissociality and irritability. Its association was also mediated by ego resiliency. Conclusion/Implications: These findings indicated that a mother's positive communication with their child would enhance children's ego resiliency and peer competence in preschool children. Thus, the efforts to facilitate parents' positive communication skills in parent education can be promising for preschool children's positive development.

아동의 자아탄력성이 스트레스에 미치는 영향 : 정서경험의 매개효과 (The Influences of Ego-Resiliency on Stress Levels in Children : The Mediating Effects of Affects)

  • This study investigated the influences of ego-resilience, positive affects, and negative affects on stress levels in children. The subjects were 245 5th-graders. The results indicated that : (1) Ego-resiliency and positive affects were significantly positively related to each other, and these variables were significantly negatively related to negative affects and stress. (2) Ego-resiliency had a direct effect on children's stress. Additionally, positive affects and negative affects mediated between ego-resiliency and stress; this means children who had high ego-resiliency experienced more positive affects, which led to lesser negative affects and reduced levels of stress.

아동의 자아탄력성이 학교적응에 미치는 영향 : 자아개념에 의한 스트레스의 조절된 매개효과 (The Influence of Ego-Resiliency on School Adjustment in Children : The Moderated Mediating Effect of Stress by Self-Concept)

  • This study examined the moderated mediating effect of stress by self-concept on the influence of ego-resiliency on school adjustment in children. The participants consisted of 278 4th-graders, who completed self-report questionnaires designed to assess ego-resiliency, school adjustment, self-concept, and stress. The results indicated the following: First, stress mediated the effect of ego-resiliency on school adjustment. Second, self-concept moderated the effect of stress on school adjustment. Third, the mediating effect of stress on the influence of ego-resiliency on school adjustment was moderated by self-concept. The mediating effect of stress was statistically significant when self-concept was positive, but was not statistically significant when self-concept was negative. Methods to improve children's school adjustment are also included, based on the results of this research.
