Polymerization induced diffusion has been successfully applied to create new display components. Based on this principle a new technique to produce polymer covered liquid crystal layers on a single substrate, called photo-enforced stratification, allows cost-effective production of ultra-thin LCDs. The two-step photopolymerization-induced phase separation of a liquid crystal and a polymer precursor can be performed on a variety of substrates and provides freedom in display design.

Field experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of vinyl mulch on phosphate availability of soil and fertilizer in 1982. Growth of tobacco was more vigorous at each level of phosphate treatment in vinyl mulched than in bare soil. There was significant culture x Phosphorus treatment interaction for the yields of cured tobacco leaves. These results indicated that vinyl mulch was effective to improve phosphate availability of soil and fertilizer. Increase in soil temperature and maintenance of bulk density suitable for Phosphorus diffusion by vinyl mulch were likely to Play major roles on Phosphate availability, but other unknown factors appeared to be involved.

In this study, the qualitative prediction and evaluation of clean room being utilized for mass production of electrronic components have been performed with the help of flow simulation. Compared to the experimental analysis based on measurements of the number of particles, concentration of contaminants and flow characteristics, the numerical analysis used in this study is much cost-effective.

Electroactive monolayers based on zirconium(Ⅳ) phosphonate film were prepared on gold and tin oxide electrodes by sequential layer-by-layer depostion technique. High transfer coefficient values and surface coverages of surface bound redox molecules were obtained from the electrochemical measurements of heterogeneous electron transfer rates for monolayer modified electrodes. 1,10-Decanediylbis(phosphonic acid) (DBPA) monolayer as insulating barrier was effective in blocking electron transfer. However, these film modified oxide electrode shows voltammetric behavior of diffusion/permeation process taking place at very small exposed area of modified electrode through channels due to structural defects within film when a very fast redox couple such as Ru(NH3)63+ is hired.

The release of gas from the LPG storage tank by the rupture or leakage can occure explosion and this causes serious damage to people and structures. In this study, the explosion effect and damaging distance were measured for the LPG cloud explosion to perform the quantitative risk assessment for the PSM, and the effective parameters on the explosion were found. The gas dispersion and mass contaminant in the explosion limits were calculated by using DEGADIS, and it was converted to TNT equivalency and damaging distance. As a result, the wind speed was the most effective parameter on the diffusion rate and TNT equivalency, and the damaging distance were increased with decrease of wind speed and surface roughness.

The purpose of this study is explore the changes of environment in terms of diffusion of EC and to present effective marketing strategies for Electronic Commerce Activation. This paper focuses on the customer management, Real-Time Responding, and market strategies in Electronic Commerce. EC(Electronic Commerce) that out of the evolution of Internet technology gets a corporation changes to survive in 21st century. So the corporation must set the strategy to fit a Internet focused society. This paper is focusing the analysing the difference between the e-marketing and traditional marketing and proposing the new strategical marketing mix. On the Electronic Commerce, the 6Cs of marketing - Contents, Community, Commerce, Connection, Communication, Customizing - are being played out quite differently than they normally are off-line. In conclusion, the change in Electronic Commerce environment results in (1) redefinition of customer group, (2) different marketing strategies to fit in Electronic Commerce environment, and (3) changes in customer management, promotion strategy, advertizing appeal.

The strategy to incorporate [$^{15}$ N]-labeled amino acids were discussed. Instead of using specific auxotrophic strains for selective labeling, the prototrophic strain, BL2l(DE3), was used with a plasmid, pLysS, and found to be very effective for several amino acids including alanine, lysine, leucine, and threonine. Isoleucine, valine, glutamine, and tyrosine were also found to be effective despite some diffusion into other amino acids. Interesting result was obtained when [$^{15}$ N]-labeled glycine was tried: only glycines were labeled when amino acid mixture was added in the growth medium, and serines were co-labeled when amino acids were omitted. These results can be used as a guideline when selective labeling strategy is considered, and when the resulting data are interpreted.

Among the thermal analysis methods for Multi-Layer Insulation(MLI), effective emittance, diffusion MLI node and arithmetic MLI node methods are compared. The methods have been applied to the aluminum panel under the low earth orbit environment. TRASYS program is used for geometrical math modeling and SINDA program for thermal math modeling and temperature calculation. Test cases are selected according to MLI area on the panel. Temperature results are calculated and compared under the ratio of absorptivity and emissivity.

본 연구에서는 해상누유의 시간변화에 따른 오염지역 예측을 위한 수학모델 및 수치기법을 제안하였다. 본 모델은 기름의 분자적인 확산 뿐만아니라 해수의 표층유동에 기인한 기름의 이동을 동시에 고려하는데 그 특징이 있다. 그리고, 실제 누유사고에의 보다 실용적이고 효율적인 응용을 위해 자동적으로 계산대상영역을 설정하는 격자수정방법을 도입하였다. 본 계산기법을 다양한 가상의 누유사고에 대해 적용해 본 결과, 매우 사실적인 누유오염지도를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 여겨진다.
