Today, modern people perceive skin care as part of their physical health care, and acne is a common skin disease problem that is found on the face. In this paper, an effective acne detection algorithm using CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ color space has been proposed. It is red when the pixel value of the component image $a^*$ is a positive number, so it is suitable for detecting acne in skin image. First, the skin image based on the RGB color space is subjected to light compensation through color balancing, and converted into a CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ color space. The extracted component image $a^*$ was normalized, and then the skin and acne area were estimated with the threshold values. Experimental results show that the proposed method detects acne more effectively than the conventional method based on brightness information, and the proposed method is robust against the reflected light source.
Urbanization has led to extreme changes in land use on urban watersheds. Most cities are becoming residential, commercial and industrial areas, making infiltration and storage of rainfall less favorable. The demand for LID (Low Impact Development) technology is increasing in order to mitigate this water cycle distortion and return to existing hydrological conditions. The LID technique is effective in reducing runoff by permeating the urban impervious area. However, considering the limit of the installation area and the financial requirement of the installation, there is not much research on the linkage of each LID component technology for optimum efficiency according to the appropriate scale. In this study, the effects of the LID facilities applied to the target site were simulated using the SWMM model, suggesting the optimal linkage method considering interconnectivity, and applying the effects as an existing installation of individual facilities. The water balance at the time of application of the LID technology, short-term and long-term rainfall event were compared. Also, the individual application and the linkage application were compared with each other. If each component technology has sufficient processing size, then linkage application is more effective than individual application.

Many technical and nontechnical issues hinder enterprise wide workflow management. The most significant technical issue is the inability to deal with the heterogeneity among users, workflow types, and WFMSs. Not all users demand the same workflow functionality, so user interfaces of different levels of sophistication are required. Because workflow types cannot always be fully predefined, they often need to be adjusted or extended during execution. Unlike relational database management systems, however, each WFMS often has differing workflow metamodels. This leads to incompatibility between WFMSs, making integration into an environment comprising many heterogeneous WFMSs a troublesome and sometimes impossible task. Current Workflow system consists mainly of Database system. It contains some problems like that the integration relationship among system processes cant be expressed properly. This research has been focused on two phases that should be considered in the Workflow system. First of all, the first phase is the analysis phase; one of its role is to figure out independent execution task unit(Workflow component). The second phase is design phase that provides with the framework to execute these task units actively. The Workflow component extraction method in the analysis phase uses a analysis method called C-C Net and, in the design phase, the architecture that makes the these Workflow component executed actively is provided. Through this research, each process is divided into a task unit and more effective Workflow system could be formed by executing these units actively. Current system layer calls task units, on the other hand, the Workflow system this research implemented provides with the architecture that places a layer between them that controls task units actively.
Purpose: The anterolateral thigh flap is versatile flap for soft-tissue reconstruction for defects located at various sites of the body. This useful flap offers a thick and vascular fascia lata component with large amounts that can be soft tissue coverage for different reconstructive purposes. We present our clinical experience with the use of vascular fascia lata, combined with anterolateral thigh flap for various reconstructive goals. Methods: From April 2008 to February 2011, we transferred anterolateral thigh flaps with fascia lata component to reconstruct soft-tissue defects for different purposes in 11 patients. The fascia lata component of the flap was used for tendon gliding surface in hand/forearm reconstruction in 4 patients, for reconstruction medial and lateral patellar synovial membrane and retinaculum in 2 patients, for reconstruction of plantar aponeurosis in the foot in 2 patients, for reconstruction of fascial and peritoneal defect in the abdominal wall in 2 patient, and for dural defect reconstruction in the scalp in the remaining one. Results: Complete loss of the flap was not seen in all cases. Partial flap necrosis occurred in 2 patients. These complications were treated successfully with minimal surgical debridement and dressing. Infection occurred in 1 patient. In this case, intravenous antibiotics treatment was effective. Conclusion: Anterolateral thigh flap has thick vascular fascia with large amounts. This fascial component of the flap is useful for different reconstructive aims, such as for tendon, ligament, aponeurosis defects, abdominal wall or dura reconstruction. It should be considerated as an important advantage of the flap, together with other well-known advantages.
Today, Numbers of "0" and "1" which are represented as a digital code have a role of communicating with various media, result in the development of IT technology. With the changes of the times, new media is created and various contents and media are formed. There is convergence between exiting contents and media at the same time and also is in the rapid progress of unification and collapse between the boundary of the data. Under these digital circumstance, the amount of many data which are created and disappeared is rapidly changed as much as the remarkable growth of the digital technology. The purpose of this thesis is to make a classified method of a effective data component related to data management, data recycling and data copyright in 3D animation.

One-dimensional nanostructures such as carbon nanotubes could be ideal templates for formation of metallic nanoparticles. Furthermore, bimetallic component nanoparticles have recently been interesting issues for having high catalytic activity. This work provides both a facile method to synthesize bimetallic catalysts via N atoms of carbon nanotubes and also a picture about how to design the optimal bimetallic catalyst for hydrogen generation from the hydrogen storage material. In principle, the ratio of one component to another component could be generically extended to fabricate the high-performance bimetallic catalysts on host nanostructures. Indeed, we demonstrate that the bimetallic catalyst composed of the optimum composition results in the excellent hydrogen generation property from an aqueous borane ammonia solution, thus being capable of satisfying the Depart of Energy in USA target required for many advanced applications even with the small amount of our bimetallic catalysts attached onto the N-doped carbon nanotubes. This high hydrogen generation rate is found to be attributed to the optimal distance between active Pt and cheap Ni atoms for effective hydrogen generation.

Representation based classification, kernel method and sparse representation have received much attention in the field of face recognition. In this paper, we proposed an improved kernel principal component analysis method based on sparse representation to improve the accuracy and robustness for face recognition. First, the distances between the test sample and all training samples in kernel space are estimated based on collaborative representation. Second, S training samples with the smallest distances are selected, and Kernel Principal Component Analysis (KPCA) is used to extract the features that are exploited for classification. The proposed method implements the sparse representation under ℓ2 regularization and performs feature extraction twice to improve the robustness. Also, we investigate the relationship between the accuracy and the sparseness coefficient, the relationship between the accuracy and the dimensionality respectively. The comparative experiments are conducted on the ORL, the GT and the UMIST face database. The experimental results show that the proposed method is more effective and robust than several state-of-the-art methods including Sparse Representation based Classification (SRC), Collaborative Representation based Classification (CRC), KCRC and Two Phase Test samples Sparse Representation (TPTSR).

Recently, the demand to acquire and improve durability performance has steadily risen in rubber components design. In design process of a rubber component, an analytical prediction is the most effective way to improve fatigue life. Existing methods of analytical estimation have mainly used an equation for fatigue life obtained from fatigue test data. However, such formula is rarely used due to costs and time required for fatigue testing, as well as randomness of rubber materials. In this paper, we describe fatigue life estimation of rubber component using only the results from a relatively simple tearing test. We estimated fatigue life of the Janggu type fatigue specimen and the automotive motor mount, and evaluated reliability of the proposed method by comparing the estimated values with actual test results.

In recent years, hot-stamped components are more increasingly used in the automotive industry in order to reduce weight and to improve the strength of vehicles. In hot stamping process, blank is hot formed and press hardened in a tool. However, in hot stamping without cooling channel, temperature of the tool increases gradually in mass production thus cannot meet the critical cooling rate to obtain high strength over 1500MPa. Warpage occurs in the hot stamped component due to non-uniform stress state caused by unbalanced cooling. Therefore, tools should be uniformly as well as rapidly cooled down by the coolant which flows through cooling channel. In this paper, optimal design method of cooling channel to obtain uniform and high strength of the component is proposed. Optimized cooling channel is applied to the hot press V-bending process. As a result of measuring strength, hardness and microstructure of the hot formed parts, it is known that the design methodology of cooling channel is effective to the hot stamping process.
