간호대학생의 주관적 행복감에의 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Subjective Happiness in Korean Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine subjective happiness related factors in Korean nursing students. Methods: A purposive sample of 200 nursing students was recruited for the cross-sectional survey design. The instruments were perceived stress scale, major satisfaction scale, resilience scale, and subjective happiness scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, hierarchical linear regression, and the Sobel test for testing mediating effects. Results: The mean score of stress, major satisfaction, resilience and subjective happiness was 2.21, 3.95, 3.60 and 5.03, respectively. Perceived health status, stress_positive perception, stress_negative perception, resilience_self confidence, resilience_positivity, resilience_social support had significant effects on subjective happiness. Explained variance for the subjective happiness was 53.4%. Resilience had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between stress and subjective happiness (Sobel test: Z=-5.67, p<.001). Also, resilience had a mediating effect in the relationship between major satisfaction and subjective happiness (Sobel test: Z=5.65, p<.001). Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, nursing intervention programs focusing on improving resilience are recommended to improve subjective happiness in nursing students.

  • There has been growing attention on the well-being of people with disabilities. The purpose of this study was twofold: (1) to investigate the associations between individuals' socio-demographic and psychological characteristics and clothing expenditure, and (2) to examine the moderated mediation effect of self-efficacy and acceptance of disability on the association between dependency on others and happiness among people with visual impairment. This study was based on secondary analysis of data from the second wave of the 6th Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled collected by the Employment Development Institute. The results of this study showed that average monthly expenditure on clothing was positively associated with self-efficacy, happiness, and acceptance of disability, while being negatively associated with dependency on others. The results also confirmed that self-efficacy mediated the association between dependency on others and happiness. A conditional direct effect of dependency on others on happiness was found, in which negative associations were significant among people with visual impairment who had low and mean levels of acceptance of disability (but not high levels). In addition, there was a significant conditional indirect effect, in which the indirect and negative effect of dependency on others on happiness via self-efficacy was significant for those with low and average levels of acceptance of disability. These findings support the importance of enhancing the independence and acceptance of disability among people with visual impairment, which ultimately contributes to their happiness.

An Empirical Study on the Happiness of Generation MZ Employees in South Korea: Focusing on the Preceding Factors of Happiness and Engagement

  • This study focuses on the happiness of the generation MZ of innovative enterprises, which are evaluated as the driving force of economic growth at a time when the value of happiness is emerging. Happiness is related to the prosperity and performance of the organization. However, MZ generation office workers, who account for 45% of the economically active population, are considered unhappy at work. Therefore, this study attempted to explore the preceding factors (organizational factors, relationship and communication factors, and personal factors) of happiness for the generation MZ of innovative enterprises and to examine the effect of happiness on employee engagement. For the study, 300 usable responses were collected from generation MZ working in innovative enterprises through an online survey. Research hypotheses and research questions were verified using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 23.0. As a result, it was confirmed that procedural justice among the organizational factors, rewarding co-worker/supervisor relationship among the relationship/communication factors, and personal factors (meaningfulness of work, personal accomplishment) positively affected the MZ generation's workplace happiness. In particular, the meaningfulness of work, which corresponds to personal factors, exerted the most significant influence. In addition, in the case of happiness at the workplace, there was a positive effect on employee engagement, which was stronger in organizational engagement than in job engagement. As a result of examining the structural relationship between variables used in the study, it was found that procedural justice, rewarding co-worker/supervisor relationships, the meaningfulness of work, and personal accomplishment positively affected employee engagement through happiness. Through research, the importance of happiness at the workplace was suggested by systematically reviewing the preceding variables of happiness at the workplace and grasping the positive effects of happiness. In addition, the management measure of generation MZ employees of innovative enterprises was discussed, the necessity of research on happiness at the workplace was emphasized, and follow-up studies were proposed.

사회복지사의 전문적 능력이 행복감에 미치는 영향 -조직몰입 매개효과를 중심으로- (Effects of Professional Competence on Happiness of Social Worker : Focused on Organizational Commitment Mediated Effect)

  • 본 연구는 사회복지사의 전문적 능력이 사회복지사의 행복감에 미치는 영향을 확인하고 전문적 능력과 행복감 간의 관계에서 조직몰입의 매개효과를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 경기도 소재의 사회복지시설에 근무하고 있는 사회복지사들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구대상은 총 203명이며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0을 이용하여 기술통계, 상관관계 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회복지사의 전문적 능력은 사회복지사의 행복감과 조직몰입에 유의한 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회복지사의 조직몰입은 행복감에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 사회복지사의 전문적 능력과 행복감 간의 관계에서 조직몰입이 부분 매개효과를 나타내는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 사회복지사의 행복감에 영향을 미치는 전문적 능력향상과 조직몰입을 높일 수 있는 실천적 방안을 제시하였다.

초등학생의 대인관계 스트레스와 도움추구태도가 행복에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Interpersonal Stress and Attitude toward Help on Happiness in Elementary School Students)

  • 본 연구는 초등학생들의 대인관계 스트레스와 도움추구태도가 행복에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 수행하였다. 연구대상은 초등학생 고학년 171명이었다. 자료 분석은 분산분석과 상관관계 분석 및 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 초등학생의 대인관계 스트레스와 행복은 유의한 부적 상관관계가 있었다. 초등학생의 도움추구태도는 행복과 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 둘째, 스트레스 하위요인 중 부모와 교우관계 스트레스가 행복에 유의한 부적 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 도움추구태도의 하위요인 중 부모와 교사에 대한 도움추구태도가 행복에 유의한 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 부모관계 스트레스와 행복 간의 관계에서 부모 및 교사에 대한 도움추구태도는 유의한 매개효과가 있었다. 교사관계 스트레스와 행복 간의 관계에서 교사에 대한 도움추구태도는 유의한 매개효과가 있었다. 교우관계 스트레스와 행복 간의 관계에서 도움추구태도는 유의한 매개효과가 없었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 스트레스와 초등학생의 행복 간의 관계에서 도움추구태도의 중요성을 논의하였다.

유아교사의 심리적 소진과 행복감이 유아의 교육기관 적응능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Early Educator's Psychological Exhaustion and Happiness on Children's Adapting Ability in Early Education Settings)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of early educator's psychological exhaustion and happiness on adapting ability of children in early education settings. Two hundred ten early educators and six hundred thirty children were selected as subjects of this study and were requested to participate in a survey. The results of this study were as follows: First, as a result of analyzing the relationship between early educator's psychological exhaustion and happiness as well as children's adaptability on education facility, higher psychological exhaustion and lower happiness were related to lower children's adaptability on education facility. Second, as a result of comparing comparative impact that psychological exhaustion and happiness has on children's adaptability on education facility, psychological exhaustion of the teacher impacts negatively on children's adaptability on education facility and happiness of the teacher did not significantly impact children's adaptability on education facility. This research is expected to be used as foundational data that helps to recognize the importance of psychological exhaustion and happiness of the teacher and could be used to develop various programs that support teachers to recover from burnout and to increase happiness.

일과 생활의 균형(WLB)과 상사신뢰가 직장행복감 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Work-Life Balance(WLB) and Superior Trust on Workplace Happiness and Organizational Commitment)

  • 본 연구는 일과 생활의 균형(WLB)과 상사신뢰, 직장행복감, 조직몰입 간의 전체적인 구조적 관계를 연구하는 것이다. WLB와 상사신뢰는 직장행복감에 어떠한 영향을 미치며, 직장행복감은 조직몰입에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가 그리고 직장행복감의 매개효과를 연구하는 것이다. 대기업 및 중소기업에 근무하는 직장 재직자들을 대상으로 설문자료를 수집하였으며, 연구항목의 타당성과 신뢰성을 확인하고 경로분석 방식으로 연구가설을 검정하였다. 연구가설의 검정결과 WLB와 상사신뢰는 직장행복감에 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 직장행복감은 조직몰입에 정(+)의 영향을 미친다. 또한 직장행복감은 WLB와 상사신뢰, 조직몰입 사이를 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 가설검정 결과를 토대로 WLB와 상사신뢰의 수준이 높을수록 직장행복감은 높아지며, 직장행복감이 제고될수록 조직몰입의 수준 역시 높다는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 우리나라 기업 구성원들의 직장행복감과 조직몰입을 달성하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

암병동 신규간호사를 위한 행복 셀프코칭 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Development and Evaluation of the Effect of a Happiness Self-Coaching Program for New Graduate Nurses Working in Cancer Care Unit)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the effect of a Happiness Self-Coaching program for new graduate nurses working in cancer care units. Methods: A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest, nonequivalent control-group design was applied to conduct the study. Study participants were new graduate nurses employed within 12 months and working as shift employees at G university hospital, located in J city. A total of 21 new graduate nurses participated in the study, 10 in the experimental group, and 11 in the control group. The happiness self-coaching program was conducted weekly for 70 minutes from February 1 to June 6, 2016 for 6 weeks. The experimental group received the Happiness Self-Coaching program through lectures, presentation, group activities, and strength card play. Data were analyzed by using repeated measure ANOVA and paired t-test. Results: The experimental group demonstrated significantly higher happiness (F=6.82, p=.003) and self-efficacy (F=3.38 p=.045) levels compared to the control group. Conclusion: The Happiness Self-Coaching program was effective in enhancing new graduate nurses' happiness and self efficacy. It is recommended that nursing organizations to apply the Happiness Self -Coaching program to facilitate adaption of new graduate nurses in cancer care units.

Happiness Leisure Experiences in Consumption

  • The Personal sense of uniqueness (PSU) is positively associated with subjective well-being and has been recently shown its correlation with happiness, influencing consumer's experience behavior. However, the effects of hedonic and eudaimonic experience on conspicuous and inconspicuous (consumer's need for status and inner fulfillment) are unknown. The purpose of this research is to address a gap existing in the literature by testing the effects of PSU on hedonic and eudaimonic leisure experiences and how happiness leisure experiences effects conspicuous and inconspicuous consumption. The relationships hypothesized in the model are tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and bootstrapping procedure. Data was gathered using a self-administrated survey, answered by 200 consumers based on consumers' leisure experiences. The findings of this study suggest that (i) PSU positively and significantly influence hedonic and eudaimonic happiness; (ii) the effect of PSU on eudaimonic happiness is higher than in hedonic happiness; (iii) eudaimonic happiness positively and significantly influence conspicuous and inconspicuous consumption; and (iv) hedonic happiness negatively and significantly influence conspicuous and inconspicuous consumption. This study helps fill a gap in the literature by introducing and testing the effect of hedonic and eudaimonic leisure experiences and the relationship between these constructs and PSU and (in) conspicuous consumption.

중학생의 시민의식과 공동체의식이 행복감에 미치는 영향: 진로결정의 매개효과 (The Effects of Civic Consciousness and Sense of Community on Happiness in Adolescent: Mediating Effects of Career Desision)

  • 본 연구는 중학생의 시민의식, 공동체의식, 진로결정과 행복감의 영향 관계에서 진로결정의 매개효과를 검증하여 행복감을 증진시키기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 분석자료는 한국청소년정책연구원에서 조사한 '2020년 Z세대 10대 청소년 가치관 조사' 데이터를 이용하였다. 조사대상자 중 본 연구목적에 부합하는 중학생 2,703명을 표본으로 추출하여 SPSS WIN 25.0 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석방법은 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, 상관분석 및 PROCESS MACRO Model Number 4를 활용하여 매개효과를 검증하고 Bootstrapp 기법을 적용하여 간접효과와 유의성을 분석하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 중학생의 시민의식과 공동체의식이 행복감에 정적인 영향을 보였다. 둘째, 시민의식과 행복감과의 관계에서 진로결정은 부분 매개효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 공동체의식과 행복감과의 관계에서 진로결정은 부분 매개효과가 나타났다. 즉, 중학생의 행복감 증진을 위한 정책적 대안과 실천적 프로그램을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.
