  • The clothing industry is going through very rapid and innovative automation in almost all processes from the initial design of clothing to the dispatch of the products to the retailer. Educational bodies in teaching clothing and textile techniques should offer courses that enable students to grasp the concepts and potential of automation so that they can confidently cope with further development when they enter the real world of the clothing and textile industry. The article suggests how and what to teach about automation and, gives an overview of the current state of automation in the field of clothing and textiles. • During the last thirty years many structural control concepts have been proposed for the reduction of the structural response caused by earthquake excitations. Their research and implementation in practice have shown that seismic control of structures has a lot of potential but also many limitations. In this paper the importance of two practical issues, time delay and saturation effect, on the performance of controlled structures, is discussed. Their influence, both separately and in interaction, on the response of structures controlled by a modified pole placement algorithm is investigated. Characteristic buildings controlled by this algorithm and subjected to dynamic loads, such as harmonic signals and actual seismic events, are analyzed for a range of levels of time delay and saturation capacity of the control devices. The response reduction surfaces for the combined influence of time delay and force saturation of the controlled buildings are obtained. Conclusions regarding the choice of the control system and the desired properties of the control devices are drawn.

  • This study purposed realization and a phase reduction of school building $CO_2$ emissions. Accordingly selected standard school buildings and evaluated life cycle environmental load($CO_2$). This study proposed Green building technology which separated design sector, energy sector, afforestation sector for carbon-neutral city school buildings realization of M-city. As a result, elementary, middle and high schools of M-city built in the year 2013 were required that design sector was Energy Performance Index(EPI) 75 point and energy sector was solar installations more than 25% of the power usage, Solar systems installed more than 10% of total gas consumption and the area of afforesting more than 35% of the ecological area to achieve 30% $CO_2$ reduction compared to the Respectively standard school buildings.

  • The paper is to evaluate existing school building system with respect to students' comforts in the class room in Korea. This paper compared three styles of different school building system builted during last 20 years. Using statistical analysis, at first, the paper found that box-style structure is efficient for sustaining heat in the class room because it is compactly constructed. Secondly, air conditioning in the class room is important factor affected students' comforts in the summer time and for the smog occurring in the heating class room. Thirdly, we should compactly construct school building because the compactiveness of building components is important factor for student comforts. Fouthly, heating system in the class room should be changed. The system using gas or electricity insteded of coals should be introduced in the class room for the smog of the stove in winter time and for freshness in summer time.

  • This study intended to put information regarding space composition and functional relationship together and analyze them, and finally offers some suggestions. For the field survey, built questionnaire and drawings analysis were used in this study. Architectural programming offers basic information for design : putting field survey factors together and analysing them. It interacts with each part of design as well. In the initial stage of architectural design, the quality of information is very decisive in the quality of design. In this sense, analysing basic information such as floor space compositive system is required to rationalizing space and functional programing in the elementary school design.

  • This study was limited Gangwon-do's manufacturing companies that participated in the educational-industrial consortium. These companies' present status and activities under implementation identified and interpreted by this study, therefore, are insufficient to be generalized into knowledge applicable to most of the companies in Gangwon-do. For more precise and detailed results, it is suggested to make further studies that cover not only those consortium companies but also non-consortium manufacturing companies in Gangwon-do. The results also suggest that it is necessary to promote some periodic manpower training programs in cooperation with local universities, to utilize professors and experts to build management strategies that can bring and secure the power of competition, and to construct a system of educational-industrial cooperation, as ways leading these companies to the 21 st century's type of business enterprise.

  • According to the appearance of various virtual websites using multimedia technologies for engineering education, the internet applications in engineering education have drawn much interests. But unidirectional communication, simple text/image-based webpages and tedious learning process without motivation etc. have made the lowering of educational efficiency in cyberspace. Thus, to cope with these difficulties this paper presents a web-based educational Java applets for understanding the principles or conceptions of digital logic systems. The proposed Java applets provides the improved learning methods which can enhance the interests of learners. The results of this paper can be widely used to improve the efficiency of cyberlectures in the cyber university. Several sample Java applets are illustrated to show the validity of the proposed learning method.

  • The purpose of this study was to research on relationship between the circulation system of students and resident users in elementary school complex. 4 elementary schools in Seoul were chosen for this study. The method of this study is a plan analysis, an on-the-spot survey, and user behavior observation. The circulation system of students and resident users at school zone(outside) and Community school were observed. The following is the main results of this study. First, circulation systems are mixed between public zone and student zone in Community school. Therefore these zones shall be planed separated. Second, resident users tend to go directly to the facilities gathered together. Therefore main entrance has to be located closely to the facilities gathered together. In accordance with this results, both the main entrance of Community school and the students facilities have to be considered when planing the circulation system in school from now on.

  • This paper presents the development method of educational simulator for the load flow. The developed simulator can be made the students to model, analysis of power systems by drawing the system and performing the load flow by themselves under window environment. For the effective education of load flow, we have introduced the avatar which is the object to explain the load flow to the students. Also, The simulator has developed by using the language based on XML(Extended Markabel Language). Therefore, we determine that this simulator is useful to educate the load flow and easily to expand the other application program.

  • This study is discussed research on management of items in PC's GUI(Graphical User Interface) environment. A items are general knowledge data like books, musical CD, English CD, and game CD, which are the time when we don't seek the right items in the case of re-reading and re-listening the items. In this paper, We propose an example designed to be used in the management of a items. The proposed example is implemented by educational VC++(Visual C++) programming language. This program and discussions for management of a items will understand the development procedure of searching and storing data, which will provide some basics into designing large database systems.
