  • With advances in smart and ICT(information and communication technology) technologies, our life style has been changing dramatically. Now everybody can enjoy the benefits of such technologies in every aspect of his/her daily life. Currently more and more people are trying to have smart devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs so that smart devices become the bare necessities. New smart technologies have created a new concept called smart learning in education area. As educational smart contents become popular, we need quality standards for the contents. Those standards are essential for evaluating the smart contents and suggesting guidance for future smart contents production. Although there are some standards for the existing e-learning environments, to our best knowledge, there are no standards for educational smart contents in the literature. The purpose of this paper is to develop quality standards for educational smart contents. The proposed quality standards are based on the existing quality standards in e-learning environments and include some characteristics of smart learning. For development of quality standards, wide experts group from academy and industry are selected and surveyed. Their responses are analyzed based on thorough statistical analysis so that final quality standards for educational smart contents are developed.

  • We suggest on this paper the LTSA-based Guide System for elementary mathematics, that is useful in managing of educational contents, avoiding redundant contents-development and improving reusability of contents. And it gives more satisfaction to the learner by making leaner choose his own courses. We considered the educational differences between learners, for the learning not to be a mechanical thing, by giving the educational course and method adequate to the learner By focusing on the educational differences between learners resulted from elementary educational adaption example implemented on the base of the international standard, we suggested a method for activating the coaching process in the system.

  • The effective management of damage in tunnels is crucial for ensuring their safety, longevity, and operational efficiency. In this paper, we propose an educational management model tailored specifically for addressing damage in tunnels, utilizing numerical solution techniques. By leveraging advanced computational methods, we aim to develop a comprehensive understanding of the factors contributing to tunnel damage and to establish proactive measures for mitigation and repair. The proposed model integrates principles of tunnel engineering, structural mechanics, and numerical analysis to facilitate a systematic approach to damage assessment, diagnosis, and management. Through the application of numerical solution techniques, such as finite element analysis, we demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed model in simulating various damage scenarios and predicting their impact on tunnel performance. Additionally, the educational component of the model provides valuable insights and training opportunities for tunnel management personnel, empowering them to make informed decisions and implement effective strategies for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of tunnel infrastructure. Overall, the proposed educational management model represents a significant advancement in tunnel management practices, offering a proactive and knowledge-driven approach to addressing damage and enhancing the resilience of tunnel systems.

  • This study deals with the problem of transition from arithmetic to algebra and the relationship between elementary and secondary school mathematics for systems of linear equations. In elementary school, activity for solving word problems related to systems of linear equations in two variables falls broadly into using two strategies: Guess and check and making a table. In secondary school, those problems are solved algebraically, for example, by solving systems of equations using the technique of elimination. The analysis of mathematics textbooks shows that there is no link between strategies of elementary school mathematics and secondary school mathematics. We devised an alternative way to reinforce link between elementary and secondary school mathematics for systems of linear equations. Drawing a diagram can be introduced as a strategy solving word problems related to systems of linear equations in two variables in elementary school. Moreover it is closely related to the idea of the technique of elimination of secondary school mathematics. It may be a critical juncture of elementary-secondary school mathematics in the case of systems of linear equations in two variables.

  • In the rapidly changing field of Management Information Systems, the definition and educational programs must be continually reevaluated and revised. A study was conducted to find a way to which the modeling principle is applied for redefining the identity of Management Information Systems as an independent academic field and to develop a plausible MIS curriculum based on the modeling principle. Previous researches on the MIS frameworks, knowledge and technology requirements for IS professionals, and standard MIS curriculums were reviewed thoroughly. For this study, the Kantian cognitive model was adopted as a basis of modeling principle. The result shows that modeling ability has been the core competence of IS people in the field of MIS. The applicability of a modeling principle is also verified in establishing the identity of MIS and developing a normative MIS curriculum. For the MIS field to thrive as an independent academic field and research discipline, it is believed to be imperative for the discipline to have a unique educational goals distinguished from both other management areas, and sub-fields of computer science.

  • Web is greatly contributing in providing a variety of information. Especially, as media for the purpose of development and education of human resources, the role of web is important. Furthermore, E-Learning through web plays an important role for each enterprise and an educational institution. Also, above all, fast and various searches are required in order to manage and search a great number of educational contents in web. Therefore, most of present information is composed in HTML, so there are lots of restrictions. As a solution to such restriction, XML a standard of Web document, and its various search functions is being extended and studied variously. This paper proposes a search system able to search XML in E-Learning or var ious contents of non-XML using mobile device PDA.
