  • Leadership education is part of the goals of special education for the gifted of computer science. However, there has been little research effort on leadership curriculums and programs specially designed for the gifted of computer science by reflecting their characteristics. Thus this paper was conducted to design educational contents of leadership for the gifted of computer science as follows:First, common elements were extracted from the goals and characteristics of special education for the gifted of computer science and from the previous studies through analysis. Then basic data were selected helpful to choose educational contents of leadership for the gifted of computer science. Second, the definitions and characteristics of leadership were analyzed along with the previous studies to find common elements. By defining relations between the gifted of computer science and leadership, the investigator also examined the leadership characteristics to be considered when choosing educational contents. Third, educational contents of leadership for the gifted of computer science were selected and designed based on the leadership elements developed by the Korean Educational Development Institute(2005). Fourth, leadership activity logs and reading materials were developed of the education for the gifted of computer science based on the educational contents for their leadership. And fifth, Delphi analysis was carried out to test the validity of the leadership activity logs and reading materials developed in the study in two sessions; the first one tested the overall design of the educational contents, and the second one did the detailed contents of the activity logs and reading materials.

  • In the regular evaluation of engineering education accreditation, there should be almost no deficiencies in the program educational objectives, but they are occurring frequently. From the regular evaluation in 2021, the second deficiency is judged as conditional certification. This paper presents an example of the application of the program education goal adequacy review system considering changes in the social environment with a relatively low understanding of educational goal setting while preparing for the engineering education certification system and certification evaluation. In addition, application cases are presented focusing on the certification criteria, engineering education certification judgment guide, and self-study report form for the linkage application between detailed certification criteria in revising and improving educational goals.

  • The nation's economic development goals of the South Korea were implemented successfully, and a wave of Confucian-inspired fervor for education resulted in unprecedented economic growth in South Korea. Despite the longstanding reputation of Confucianism as an impediment to industrial growth, its beneficial social ideals, such as the deification of study and truthfulness, are now largely viewed as a key driver in South Korea's economy and greater education. Confucianism's positive societal ideals include the veneration of study and sincerity. This study examines the phenomenon of 'English Fever' in South Korean educational history and figured out four main phenomenon to explain the topic of the study Theses are the following: (1) The Growing Influence of English in South Korean Education, (2) The Effects of Teaching English in Schools, (3) The Effect of English Education on Admissions to universities, and (4) Social Implications of English Education. This study finally argues that modern-day South Korea's academic fervor can be traced back to the country's Confucian educational roots and that it has been bolstered by its ideology of an academic accomplishment-centered society and its principle of academic sectarianism. These traits can also be observed in other East Asian nations that uphold the Confucian legacy.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to develop educational goals, training content, and training methods for the intervention course of the Korean Academy of Sensory Integration (KASI) and to conduct competency-based intervention courses based on the competency model for sensory integration intervention. Methods : This study was conducted on work therapists who participated in the 2019 intervention course of KASI. In the first phase, educational needs were analyzed to set goals for the interventional course. In the second phase, a meeting of researchers drafted the intervention course education program and the methods of education, and the intervention course was conducted. In the third phase, the changes in educational satisfaction and performance level pre- and post-intervention course for each competency index were investigated. Results : The educational goals of "learning and applying the clinical reasoning process of sensory integration intervention" and "intervention by applying the principle of sensory integration intervention" were set after reflecting on the results of the analysis of the educational requirements. The length of the competency-based intervention course was 42 hours. The average education satisfaction level of participants in the arbitration process was 4.48±0.73, and the average education satisfaction level of the supervisor was 3.92±0.71. In both groups, the most satisfying curriculums were the data-driven decision-making process and the intervention goal-setting lecture. But the satisfaction level of was the lowest. Before and after the intervention course, there were significant changes in the performance of the two behavioral indicators of the analytic skills in the expertise competency cluster of the competency model. Conclusion : This study is meaningful in that it conducted a survey of educational needs, the development and implementation of an educational curriculum, and an education satisfaction survey through systematic courses necessary for education development.

Especially, economic income difference rather than racial difference makes education gap. This tendency has gradually been fixed problem in USA society. The United States is making efforts to alleviate the educational gap based on the ESSA, and the educational support policy for rural areas has been greatly expanded. The ESSA has more practically changed its existing support through the Rural Education Achievement Program. • We discuss why many current physical therapy entry-level programs are not designed to educate the type of physical therapy practitioners needed for the 21st century. We face a situation that we have to promote the profession's role in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of movement dysfunctions and the enhancement of the physical health and functional abilities of members of the public. The way how to train professional physical therapists became crucial. The purpose of study was to enhance the educational goals of physical therapy and the physical therapy curricula in Korea. In this study, we compared physical therapy training curricula recommended by WCPT with physical therapy training curricula in universities in other countries by dividing physical therapy curricula in universities and colleges into physical therapy students' electives, major required courses, labs and clinical practices, and counting the proportion of each category in the total credit hours. We discuss differences and similarities between curriculum in a university in Korea and curriculum in a university in the United States. We discussed possibly problematic portions of current physical therapy training curricula in korean universities. Finally, we statistically analyzed the regulations of WCPT and Health and Welfare Ministry in Japan, the Physical therapy curriculum of Creighton Entry-level DPT Program in the U.S. and the Inje University in Korea. The progressing direction of curricula in Korea had been researched. The future direction that korean physical therapy is to use an united curriculum that includes basic requirements of WCPT for all universities and colleges in Korea, rather than using each university's own modified version. The results of study can be helpful for developing a basic level of integrated curricula in universities and colleges in Korea.
