노인의 건강불평등 : 교육불평등에 따른 건강불평등에 대한 사회참여의 매개효과 (Health Inequalities among the Elderly : Mediation Effect of Social Participation Between Educational Level Inequalities and Self-rated Health·Depression)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 노인의 교육불평등에 따른 건강불평등(주관적 건강상태와 우울)에 대한 사회참여의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 분석을 위한 연구 자료는 강남구 노인복지욕구 실태조사이다. 본 자료는 2009년 7월 30일부터 8월 15일까지 강남구 22개 각 동에서 60세 이상 노인을 대상으로 수집되었으며, 최종 분석에 총 631명의 자료가 사용하였다. 분석방법은 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차를 통해 대상자의 일반적 특성을 살펴보았으며, 변인간 가설검증을 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 통계 프로그램은 SPSS 18.0을 이용하였다. 분석 결과 노인의 교육불평등은 노인의 건강불평등에 영향을 미친다는 것이 검증되었다. 또한 교육불평등이 노인의 건강불평등에 영향을 미치는 경로에 있어서 사회참여가 부분매개효과가 있음이 입증되었다. 사회참여 변인이 부분매개효과를 보인다는 것은 노인의 교육불평등이 심할수록 건강불평등(주관적 건강상태, 우울)도 심화된다는 직접적인 경로와 함께, 교육불평등은 사회참여를 통해 더욱 심화된 건강불평등(주관적 건강상태, 우울)을 이끌어낸다는 간접적 경로를 검증해 주는 것이다. 이러한 결과는 한국 사회에서 교육불평등이 건강불평등으로 연결된다는 것을 실증 분석했다는 점과 교육불평등으로 인한 건강불평등을 완화할 수 있는 사회복지적 실천방안으로 사회참여라는 개입방법을 사용할 수 있다는 메커니즘을 검증했다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.

치료레크레이션을 활용한 노인자아통합 교육프로그램 개발과 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development and Effects of an Educational Program for Ego Integrity of the Elderly through Therapeutic Recreation)

  • An educational program through therapeutic recreation was developed in order to analyze the effect of enhancement of ego integrity of the elderly. First of all, this study was designed to summarize the concepts of ego integrity and the effects of therapeutic recreation on the elderly and to identify elderly's educational needs of both educational methods and contents from the literature review. The above identified knowledge and information were applied to developing the educational program. The program was composed of 6 sessions with 17 old men and women focused on developing self acceptance using reminiscence on ego integrity through their whole life span and developing positive and active attitudes towards life. And enforcing and evaluation methods were also suggested. The results were as follows. This program showed the significant differences between post-test and pre-test scores in the scale of ego integrity of the elderly. In conclusion, educational program through therapeutic recreation employed for this study has significant effects of increasing ego integrity of the elderly.

한국 성인남녀의 교육 수준과 비만 간 관계 : 연령에 따른 변화를 중심으로 (The Relationship between Educational Attainment and Obesity among Korean Adults : Focusing on Age Variations)

  • Objectives: Despite the considerable interest in the increase in obesity particularly of socially disadvantaged group in Korea, how obesity varies according to various socio-demographic characteristics still remains largely unanswered. To further develop the understanding of obesity in Korea, the present study focuses on the possibility that the relationship between educational attainment and obesity varies across age. Methods: Using 2010 Korea National Health & Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES), this study divides the adults into male and female groups and examines the interaction effect of age and educational attainment on obesity through binominal logit models for each group. Results: The most educated male group is more likely to be obese than those who did not complete high school. And the relationship between male's educational attainment and obesity does not significantly change across age. In contrast to male's obesity pattern, female educational attainment has a significant negative association with obesity. The gap in obesity across educational groups converges after middle ages in female. Conclusions: Health policies should pay more attention to those who are more vulnerable to obesity risk in order to effectively reduce obesity.

An Educational Program against Digital Drama using Artificial Intelligence

  • Cyberbullying and digital drama are on the rise among students. Therefore, this paper proposes an educational program that can enhance students' ability to use artificial intelligence(AI) technology and develop the power to respond to digital drama. In order to understand the effect of the proposed education program, this education was applied on a trial basis to 205 middle school students residing in South Korea. Moreover, the change of coping ability to the digital drama was observed before and after education. After applying for the educational program, the students' empathy(t=-5.506, p<0.001), peer conflict resolution(t=-3.842, p<0.01), and peer mediation(t=-4.213, p<0.001) improved, and did not significantly affect their anger control ability(t=-0.272, p>0.05). The educational program proposed in this paper uses AI to make it more attractive for students familiar with digital devices to participate in education and increase their educational concentration. This paper has its limitations as it is a study only for middle school students in South Korea. However, it is significant that the educational program proposed in this paper prevented the recently increased digital drama and led to a crucial change in coping ability.

  • 본 연구에서는 고교학점제를 포함하여 학교 공간에 관한 많은 선행연구를 검토하여 고교학점제 교육환경 구성 시 가장 적합한 요소를 도출한 후 중요도 분석을 제시하고자 한다. 이에 분석요인으로 도출된 중요도 분석을 통하여 각 단위학교의 고교학점제 교육환경 조성에 기초적인 자료로 제공하고 고교학점제에 따른 교육환경의 공간적 중요도를 통한 교육정책적 방향 선정시 신축학교와 기존 학교의 차별화된 접근 방향에 도움이 되고자 한다. 연구의 방법으로서 관련 전문가를 통한 계층화 의사결정방법을 통하여 교육환경의 중요도 분석을 시행하였다. 분석결과 교육환경 구축을 위해 전략적 중요도를 중심으로 선택적이고 집중적으로 교육환경의 기능을 수행하고 그 활성화를 극대화하는 교육과정과 교육환경의 상호관계 등에 대한 분석적 고찰이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

교구로봇을 활용한 활동이 유아의 논리-수학적 지식과 창의적 문제해결능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Activities using Hands-on Robots on Logic-Mathematical Knowledge and Creative Problem-Solving Ability of Young Children)

  • Robots are used in early childhood education as a new instructional media, and educational activities using robots have been increased. So the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of educational activities using hands-on robots on logic-mathematical knowledge and creative problem-solving ability of young children. The total number of subjects was 43, and they were all five-year-old children. The experimental group and control group did activities with hands-on robots and general free activities, respectively. Results using ANCONA have shown that the activities with hands-on robots positively affected logic-mathematical knowledge and creative problem-solving ability of young children. These meaningful results have shown the possibility of early childhood educational use as the effectiveness of hands-on robots has come out.

도시농업 참여 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 - 가구 구성의 조절 효과 - (Factors Influencing Participation Intention in Urban Agriculture - Moderating Effects of Household Type -)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the factors influencing participation intention in urban agriculture. The theoretical foundations of the study were Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Pine and Gilmore's Experiencel Economy. The type of household composition was set as the moderating variable between these independent and dependent variables. In order to test the research model, hierarchical regression analysis was conducted on 439 effective respondents. The empirical analysis results are as follows. Educational experience factors, escapist experience factors, attitudes, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control, which were set as independent variables to positive (+) influence participation intention in urban agriculture. In addition, the impact of their influence relationship was as follows : perceived behavioral control > attitudes > escapist experience factor > subjective norm > educational experience factor. On the other hand, as a result of analyzing the moderating effect according to the household composition, there was a significant difference in the effect of educational experiences, escapist experiences, and subjective norm on participation intention in urban agriculture. Significant results were not tested on the moderating effects between attitudes, perceived behavioral control, and participation intention in urban agriculture. Based on the results of this empirical analysis, academic and practical implications were presented.

Development and Application of Failure-Based Learning Conceptual Model for Construction Education

  • Recent demands from construction industry have emphasized the capability for graduates to have improved skills both technical and non-technical such as problem solving, interpersonal communication. To satisfy these demands, problem-based learning that is an instructional method characterized by the use of real world problem has been adopted and has proven its effectiveness various disciplines. However, in spite of the importance of field senses and dealing with real problem, construction engineering education has generally focused on traditional lecture-oriented course. In order to improve limitations of current construction education and to satisfy recent demands from construction industry, this paper proposes a new educational approach that is Failure-Based Learning for using combination of the procedural characteristics of the problem-based learning theory in construction technology education utilizing failure information that has the educational value in the construction area by reinterpreting characteristics of construction industry and construction failure information. The major results of this study are summarized as follows. 1) Educational effect of problem-based learning methodology and limitation of application in construction area 2) The educational value of the information on construction failure and limitation in application of the information in construction sector 3) Anticipated effect from application of the failure-based learning 4) Development and application of the failure-based learning conceptual model.

산후 모유수유 교육프로그램이 수유행위에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of a Breastfeeding Educational Program on Feeding Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of an educational program on parturient women's feeding behavior One hundred and twenty seven mothers who delivered in one general hospital in Seoul participated in the study, 66 mothers of whom were assigned to experimental group and 61, to control group. The data collection was done from April 20 to June 30 in 1997 and the educational program was applied to the experimental group on the third postpartum day and telephone calls were made on the fourth and the twelfth postpartum week to investigate feeding behavior after discharge. The collected data were analyzed by means of Chi-square test and descriptive statistics. The results are as follows : 1. Breast-feeding rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group($x^2$=6.578, p=.043). 2. Background variables affecting feeding behavior were age and feeding plan(age: $x^2$=8.660, p=.070, feeding plan : $x^2$=25.762, p=.000). 3. The insufficient milk supply was the main cause of discontinuing breast-feeding and others were mother's job, baby's jaundice and diarrhea, baby's refusal to suck breastmilk. In conclusion, the breast-feeding educational program which was applied in this study is effective in the promotion of breast-feeding.

에듀테인먼트로서 영화교육 모델 고찰: 초, 중등 과정을 중심으로 (Model for Film Education as Edutainment: Focusing on the Elementary and Middle School Course)

  • 교육이라는 education과 오락이라는 entertainment가 합쳐진 에듀테인먼트(edutainment)라는 새로운 형태의 교육방법은 학습자에게 오락이나 놀이가 지닌 재미를 통해 학습 효과를 상승시키는 열린교육의 가능성을 품고 있다. 에듀테인먼트의 성격을 지닌 영화 교육은 교육과 놀이를 그 목적과 방법으로 채택하면서 대안교육의 새로운 패러다임으로서의 가능성을 제시해 준다. 이 연구에서는 영화 교육이 에듀테인먼트로서 추구해야 하는 교육 목표를 설정하면서 효과적인 학습 효과를 거둘 수 있는 영화교육의 학습 형태와 방향은 무엇인지를 논의하려고 하다. 더 나아가 영화교육의 개념 설정에만 머무르지 않고 에듀테인먼트로서 기능할 수 있는 실제 영화교육 사례를 제안함으로서 실질적인 영화교육에 활용할 수 있는 모델을 제시하고자 한다.
