  • Education using the internet, such as a virtual school and distance education, has been limited to the studies of content and method in learning, It has been less studied to make advantage of internet with regard to school administration, teachers' research, and efficient communication within a school. Therefore, it is suggested to implement groupware which can be used in a school environment. For this purpose, this study attempts to design and implement groupware on that purpose. The main content consists of 7 areas: introduction of the school(including children's room), notice room, working room, room for educational materials, individual information, parents' room, internet journey. The basic tool for a groupware is implemented on Windows NT 4.0 Server and subsequent IIS 2.0. DB management based on SQL Server 6.5 makes it enable to manage various information.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine thy type and amount of math education related information that is available on the worldwide Internet computer network and to summarize the ways of using network to its fullest potential for mathematics education research. The survey and analysis of the network shows that a great deal of information covering a broad range of subjects regarding mathematics education exists on the network. The type of information ranges from simple mathematics study plans to the complete mathematics education assessment database for grade school and high school students in the U.S. In addition to the wide ranging information, the network is also valuable as a communication link for exchanging ideas and obtaining feedbacks from educators and students around the world. Through the use of electronic mail, the Internet offers the ability to communicate with over 20 million users around the world.

  • Machine to machine (M2M) communications is the hottest issue in the standardization and industry area, it is also defined as machine-type communication (MTC) in release 10 of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). Recently, most research have focused on congestion control, sensing, computing, and controlling technologies and resource management etc., but there are few studies on security aspects. In this paper, we first introduce the threats that exist in M2M system and corresponding solutions according to 3GPP. In addition, we present several new security issues including group access authentication, multiparty authentication and data authentication, and propose corresponding solutions through modifying existing authentication protocols and cryptographic algorithms, such as group authentication and key agreement protocol used to solve group access authentication of M2M, proxy signature for M2M system to tackle authentication issue among multiple entities and aggregate signature used to resolve security of small data transmission in M2M communications.

  • Programming is very important subject in computer science and similar computer-related areas such as electronics engineering, etc. Programming is also important for information education for elementary, middle, and high school students since programming is one of the most basic subjects in computer science courses and other similar areas. In current information and knowledge society, raising programming ability is a key factor for everyone's competitiveness. With highly-competitive programming ability, one can enjoy his or her daily life abundantly. He or she also can get a highly-paid job, and make money using his or her programming ability. In this paper, a programming ability assessment tool is developed and introduced for the no-programming experienced. It is very difficult to test programming ability for the no-programming experienced with non-programming tools or activities. In this paper, a programming ability assessment tool is developed based on logical thinking ability. Especially the proposed tool consists of 15 questions for test one's logical thinking ability. The tool does not require any computer science or programming background. The proposed tool will be helpful as criteria for entrance examination or job screening examination for programming-related areas or subjects.

  • The rapid growth in areas related to IT is bringing about benefits and dysfunctions of informatization and harmful information on the Internet. It exerts evil effects on adolescents' mind and hampers their development of personality. The present study purposed to analyze the state on harmful information on the Internet, and to propose various educational plans for elementary school students. For these purposes, we analyzed the current state of harmful information by reviewing various literatures and previous researches, suggested the definition and types of harmful information based on previous researches in this study. In addition, we analyzed the state on harmful information of elementary school students by making a comparative analysis various researches about the state of harmful information; and based on this, various educational protective plans were suggested for elementary school students, teachers and parents. The proposed educational plan can be used for organizing education curricula of IT ethics, education programs for teachers and parents.

  • In this paper, I analyzed on the differnce of thinking for SW education of SW education research schools' students in 2016 according to background variables - school level, period of SW education and time of internet using. Also, I analyzed the corelation between student's thinking for SW education and background variables. As a result, I found the lower school level and the longer period of SW education, the more positive thinking for SW education is. Also, I found that when time of student's internet using are 1 hour or 2 hour, student's thinking for SW education is the most positive. But I confirmed that the period of SW education and time of student's internet using didn't give any influence to student's think for SW education. Based on result of analysis, I proposed necessities for research of method that method middle school student feel interesting on SW education and method that student keep interesting on long-term SW education.

  • This thesis focuses on developing an appropriate model for teaching internet ethics based on problem-based learning, and studying its effect on morality. The PBL model is focused on encouraging participation from students through discussion and essay-writing. To test the validity of the new model, the control group was constructed and was assigned an existing lecture-based model. The research applied the new method at class and compared changes in Internet ethics between two groups. The results showed that the PBL model was more effective in enhancing internet ethics among students than the lecture-based model, and they were statistically valid. Especially, the "responsibility" part within the internet ethics showed the biggest improvement.

  • This research is to identify the effects of Hopelessness, as a single latter among intermediary factors causing depression, on the Internet addiction of teenagers. This research measured the teenager students' state of hopelessness using Hopelessness Depression Symptom Questionnaire (HDSQ), which demonstrates the extent of hopelessness depression symptom, and Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS), which exhibits Beck's hopelessness scale, after conducting the analyses on the reliability of those questionnaires, and question factors. Correlations between the group in hopelessness state and the user group via the Internet Addiction Self-Test (K-scale) was comparatively analyzed. The study result reveals that reliability and validity of the questionnaire were high. As a result of the comparative analysis between the hopelessness state group and the Internet addicted user group through sub-factors of the questions, all the sub-factors showed statistically significant differences. In particular, the average score of the high risk Internet addicted user group was highest in both HDSQ and BHS. Consequently, these results imply that hopelessness affects the Internet addicted users.

  • Recently, Internet addiction problem has arised due to increasing negative effects about excessive internet use among youth. In this study, by utilizing the '11th youth health behaviors online survey data', we discuss the countermeasures for excessive internet usage of adolescence based on various analysis. we examined the effects of demographic characteristic factors, psychological factors, behavioral factors on internet usage of adolescence. As a result, it was confirmed that there were various variables that influenced adolescent internet usage which were not approached in previous researches. And through these results, we can confirm these variables. In addition, we can also provide countermeasures on excessive internet usages by that of adolescents.

  • Inter-domain routing is the most critical function of the Internet. The routing system is a logical network relying on the physical infrastructure with geographical characteristics. Nature disasters or disruptive accidents such as earthquakes, cable cuts and power outages could cause regional failures which fail down geographically co-located network nodes and links, therefore, affect the resilience of inter-domain routing system. This paper presents a model for regional failures in inter-domain routing system called REFER for the first time. Based on REFER, the resilience of the inter-domain routing system could be evaluated on a finer level of the Internet, considering different routing policies of intra-domain and inter-domain routing systems. Under this model, we perform simulations on an empirical topology of the Internet with geographical characteristics to simulate a regional failure locating at a city with important IXP (Internet eXchange Point). Results indicate that the Internet is robust under a city-level regional failure. The reachability is almost the same after the failure, and the reroutings occur at the edge of the Internet, hardly affecting the core of inter-domain routing system.
