Objectives : I analysed daehwangmokdan-tang's compatibility principle by the system of chief, deputy, assistant, and envoy and investigated pharmacological activities by categorizing with chemical components, molecular level, cellular level, animal level and human level based on Korean and Chinese studies for this formula. Methods : Daehwangmokdan-tang's compatibiltity principle was examined by the system of chief, deputy, assistant, and envoy. I looked into studies that presented in Korea from 1956 to 2016 about daehwangmokdan-tang through KOREA INSTITUTE OF ORIENTAL MEDICINE, Korean medicine information system (OASIS) and in Chinese for 20 years about daehwangmokdan-tang through China National Knowledge Infrastructure, CNKI. Then classify into chemical components, molecular level, cellular level, animal level and human level to analyse. Results : According to the system of chief, deputy, assistant, and envoy, chief herb is Rhei Radix et Rhizoma and Moutan Cortex, deputy herb is Natrii Sulfas and Persicae Semen, assistant and envoy herbs are Trichosanthis Semen. The amount of extraction of paeonol, total anthraquinone, and conjugated anthraquinone from daehwangmokdan-tang with the formulation of the system of chief, deputy, assistant, and envoy was the highest, and in the formulation of chief herb and deputy herb, the extraction amount of paeonol and conjugated anthraquinone was the lowest. With other formulations, the amount of extraction of total anthraquinone and conjugated anthraquinone was improved, although the degree was different. In particular, when it is blended with Persicae Semen as a deputy herb, the extraction amount of total anthraquinone and conjugated anthraquinone of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma as a chief herb is greatly increased, and the extraction amount of paeonol is rather different, but it is lowered. It was found that the amount of Mg Ca K Na in daehwangmokdan-tang was the highest. Pharmacological activities can be detected in inflammatory mediators and enzymes for molecular level. For cellular level, it can be determined in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 cell line. In mouse and rats for animal level and human level, in inflammatory diseases (acute appendicitis, acute pancreatitis, acute cholecystitis, acute abdominal disease, ect.), pharmacological activities was caught. Conclusions : From the above results, daehwangmokdan-tang is composed in line with the system of chief, deputy, assistant, and envoy, suggesting that there is certain rationality and scientific. Pharmacological activities of daehwangmokdan-tang are effective to anti-inflammation, improvement of sepsis, analgesic, muscle relaxation, and improvement of intestinal flora and its metabolites. Daehwangmokdan-tang is consistent with the action of diuresis and anti-inflammation in terms of the content of elements, suggesting that there is action of purging fire and removing blood stasis, defecation detoxification, cooling blood and clearing heat and activating blood and dispersing stasis.

Height growth curve to be required for estimating site index was formulated with 10 models based on the average tree height and tree age. Among them, the model of $H=K-ab^A$ was evaluated to be best fit for estimating average tree height(H) with tree age (A). Equations, $H=28.364-26.125(0.818)^A$ and $H=26.331-25.125(0.886)^A$, were situated from the model for estimating average tree height of Larix leptolepis and Pinus koraiensis, respectively (in this case the tree age was categorized into 0 for 5 -year- old tree, 1 for 10 -year- old tree and 2 for 15 -year- old tree ect.). Result of comparing the site indices calculated by the Bryant method, it was proved that the site index of Larix leptolepis was estimated higher than that of Pinus koraiensis within the limits of site index class 6 to 18. On the contrary the site index of Pinus koraiensis turned out to surpass that of Larix leptolepis at the site index class 20 or over.

For a long-term preservation of silkworm stocks by frozen gonad storage, fundamental topics such as freezing rate and transplanting stage of the gonad, proper cryoprotectant, and super-cooling temperature and freezing point of the freezing medium were examined and following results were obtained. Proper method to anesthetize the ovary-recipient silkworm was to dip the animal to cold water for 10 minutes, and the ovary taken from the 4th instar larvae was more suitable for freezing-preservation than that from the 5th. Concerning the cryoprotectant, glycerol and DMSO were effective to prevent cryoinjury of the ovary, but sorbitol was not. The supercooling temperature and freezing point of the medium to freeze the ovary and testes were checked, and consulting with the results desirable cooling rate was confirmed. On the desirable conditions of transplanting methods, freezing rate and cryoprotectant concentration ect., the next generation was obtained when the females implanted frozen-thawed ovaries mated with normal males, but none of the normal females mated with the males implanted frozen-thawed testes laid fertilized eggs. Now it is needed to improve the connecting ration of the ducts associated with the transplanted testis to those of the hosts.

The objective of this study was to characterize the mechanical properties of $Y_{2}O_{3}$-containing glass infiltrated ceramic core material, which was made by pressureless powder packing method. A pure alumina powder with a grain size of about $4{\mu}m$ was packed without pressure is silicon mold to form a bar shaped sample, and applied PVA solution as a binder. Samples were sinterd at $1350^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. After cooling, $Y_{2}O_{3}$-containing glass($SiO_{2},\;Y_{2}O_{3},\;B_{2}O_{3},\;Al_{2}O_{3}$, ect) was infiltrated to the sinterd samples at $1300^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours and cooled. Six different proportions $Y_{2}O_{3}$ of were used to know the effect of the mismatch of the thermal expansion coefficient between alumina powder and glass. The samples were ground to $3{\times}3{\times}30$ mm size and polished with $1{\mu}m$ diamond paste. Flexural strength, fracture toughness, hardness and other physical properties were obtained, and the fractured surface was examined with SEM and EPMA. Ten samples of each group were tested and compared with In-Ceram(tm) core materials of same size made in dental laboratory. The results were as follows : 1. The flexural strengths of group 1 and 3 were significantly not different with that of In-Ceram, but other experimental groups were lower than In-Ceram. 2. The shrinkage rate of samples was 0.42% after first firing, and 0.45% after glass infiltration. Total shrinkage rate was 0.87%. 3. After first firing, porosity rate of experimental groups was 50%, compared with 22.25% of In-Ceram. After glass infiltration, porosity rate of experimental groups was 2%, and 1% in In-Ceram. 4. There was no statistical difference in hardness between two materials tested, but in fracture toughness, group 2 and 3 were higher than In-Ceram. 5. The thermal expansion coefficients of experimental groups were varied to $4.51-5.35{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}C$ according to glass composition, also the flexural strengths of samples were varied. 6. In a view of SEM, many microparticles about $0.5{\mu}m$ diameter and $4{\mu}m$ diameter were observed in In-Ceram. But in experimental group, the size of most particles was about $4{\mu}m$, and a little microparticles was observed. The results obtained in this study showed that the mismatch of the thermal expansion coefficients between alumina powder and infiltrated glass affect the flexural strength of alumin/glass composite. The $Y_{2}O_{3}$-containing glass infiltrated ceramic core made by powder packing method will takes less time and cost with sufficient flexural strength similar to all ceramic crown made with slip casting technique.

The authors performed this preliminary study to investigate the effect of softening E.C.T. and propofol was compared to pentothal for induction of anaesthesia for E.C.T. on seizure duration. The results were follows ; 1) E.C.T. was performed in 60 psychiatric inpatients who were admitted during the study period. Of them 51.7% were diagnosed as schizophrenia, 21.6% as major depressive disorder, 16.7% as bipolar I disorder, manic and 10% of others. 2) Mean number of E.C.T. was 12.2 times a patient. 3) The most common target symptoms were persecutory delusion in schizophrenia, psychomotor retardation or agitation in major depressive disorder, and violent aggressive behavior in bipolar I disorder, manic. 4) Pre-ECT medication usually used were atropine $0.0093mgkg^{-1}$, pentothal $2.76mgkg^{-1}$ or propofol $1.42mgkg^{-1}$. 5) The duration of seizure, as measured clinically, was reduced with propofol(20.5 sec) in comparison with pentothal (35.7 sec)(p<0.001). This suggests the possibility that additional treatments may be needed for the same clinical effect in psychiatric illness when propofol is used as the induction agent.

This report describes 90 prescriptions related to the use of Platycodi Radix main blended from Dongeuibogam. The following conclusions were reached through investigations on the prescriptions that use Platycodi Radix as a key component. Prescriptions that Platycodi Radix was taken as a monarch drug are utilized for 30 therapeutic purposes, for example, cough disease, throat disease, abscess and pus, and wind disease. In particular, 12.1% of prescriptions appear in the chapter of cough, and 9.9% of those appear in the chapter of throat, and each 8.8% of those appear in the chapter of abscess and of wind disease. Prescriptions that utilize Platycodi Radix as the main ingredient are used in the treatment of cough disease, throat disease and abscess, and they are also used for treating 74 different types of disease. The prescriptions are compounded with Platycodi Radix as a monarch drug are related to exogenous agents such as wind-cold pathogen, wind-heat pathogen, epidemic diseases, and endogenous agents such as seven emotions, and non-endo-exopathogenic factors like excessive labor, deficiency of Qi and blood, phlegm-mass, phlegm-fire, ect. The dosage of Platycodi Radix is 2pun(about 0.75g) to 1nyang(about 37.5g), however 1don (about 3.75g) has been taken the most for clinical application. We can find out that according to herbs or prescriptions blended with it self, Platycodi Radix makes a variety of functions to penetrate lung stagnancy and remove phlegm, relieve throat pain and get rid of pus, and regulate Qi flow. And Gamgiltang is the most useful base prescription which used the Platycodi Radix as the main component.

This study compared and analyzed the measurements of pullout load according to the depth of reclamation in the foundation, compaction ratio of soil, spiral diameter, and soil textures in an experiment with a model and reached the following conclusions: The comparison results of extreme pullout load between farm and reclaimed soil show that farmland soil recorded a score that was 1.2~3 times higher than that of reclaimed soil. The investigator measured pullout load in farmland and reclaimed soil and observed a tendency of rising extreme pullout load according to the increasing depth of reclamation and compaction ratio with a similar load-displacement curve between the two types of soil. Extreme pullout load made a greater increase by the rising size of diameter than the increasing depth of reclamation, also making a considerably bigger increase according to the rising compaction ratio than the other conditions. Therefore, the spirals bar is expected to be available in soft soil foundation, as well as farmland as increasing buried deep of foundations, compaction rate, diameter of the spiral, ect.

Younghung-myun is located on a small island under the jurisdiction of Gyunggi province. The island occupying a total of approximately 40sq km is populated by 5,850 people. Two areas within the island were selected for this survey; 1) Nae 4-ri in Younghung-myun (mainly engaged in farming) 2) Nae 5-ri in Younghung-myun (mainly engaged in fishery) The survey was conducted for the period of 5-12 august 1978. Intake of foods and nutrients of all members in the households surveyed by means of questionnaire was computed based on number of meals a day. On the other hand, daily intake of nutrients by an individual was calculated by sex, age and type of work based on the conversion rate of RDA (Korean Recommended Dietary Allowances for Adult). The results obtained are summarized; 1. Status of food intake Average daily food intake of an individual in the surveyed areas was 1,018gm. Out of 1,018gm above, 490gm which represent 48% of the total intake were from cereals, grains or other vegetative products. Ratio of animal-origin foods was determined as only 16% of the total intake. These findings led us to the conclusion that people in the surveyed areas live heavily on vegetative foods. 2. Status of nutrients intake 1) Overall average intake of calorie by an individual in the surveyed areas was 2026.3Kcal per day. On the other hand, average calorie intake by adult persons was 2,491.3 Kcal per day, which is lower than 2,700 Kcal recommended by RDA by approximately 7.7%. Furthermore, it was observed that most of 2,491.3 Kcal obtained by adult persons was from such vegetative foods as cereals, grains, ect. 2) Overall average intake of protein by an individual in the areas surveyed was 52.2gm per dar. On the other hand, average protein intake among adult persons was 67.7gm a day, which indicates lower intake of protein than 80gm of RDA. It was also found that 84.3% of the protein intake by an adult person was of plant origin. 3) Overall average of fat intake by an individual in the areas surveyed was 18.9gm per day, whereas average fat intake among adult persons was 23. 2gm a day. It was brought to our attention that the average fat intake by adult persons is much lower than 36gm recom mended by RDA. 4) Average calcium intake among adult persons in the areas surveyed was 457.1mg per day, that is somewhat lower than 500mg in RDA. However, average iron intake among adult persons in the areas was slightly higher with 10.5mg a day than 10mg of RDA. 5) With exception with vitamin C, intake of all other vitamin groups, such as vit. A, vit. $B_1$, vit. $B_2$ and niacin, were lower among the inhabitants than recommended by RDA. 3. Economic status Average schooling years of food handlers was 6.5 years with average monthly income of \89,000 in the areas surveyed. Petroleum was used by majority of the households for fuel.

In a development environment for embedded system with a connection between host and target system, the linker of host system links the cross-compiled object file and modules of target system and downloads the linked object file to the target system. In this research, we separate this linker into the module dependent on object file format and the module independent on object file format. The dependent module gets the linking information independent on file format from the object file, and the independent module actually does the linking process with this linking information_ This separation can improve the portability of development environment for a target system_ Also, our linker does the incremental remote linking that applies relocation not only to the obj ect file to be loaded but also to target's modules to have been loaded_ This incremental remote linking can reduce a linking time than linking by the united modules because of linking by module. The result of measuring linking time for SPEC95 integer benchmarks shows an average of reduction rates of 64.90%. Also, incremental remote linking can improve the comfortability of users who develop programs because users do not consider a downloading order of linking object files. Currently, we developed this linker in the embedded application development environment ESTO [1] to be prepared for a commercial product.

This study has found out the status of the environment ecology(topography structure. land-use, flora, plant community structure, wildbird) in 10 uninhabited islands(i.e. Kei island, Hadon island, Sangdon island, Daewa island, Hwanggang island, Naebi island, Oebi island, Prickly castor-oil tree island, Tongin island, Yuk island), Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. Moreover, It has suggested ways of improving the environment ecology status by classifying the type of environment ecology about the degree of use and damage that based on the results of environment ecology survey. According to the results of topography structure survey, the survey site altitude was ranged within 1m$\sim$25m, otherwise, the radient was classified the rock area(.i.e. slope of less than $5^{\circ}$ the dead level) and the slope area where is steep slope. Moreover, there was showed evenly a variety of aspect. Land-use were divided the field(Kei island), dry native grasslands(Hadon island), naturalized grasslands(Sangdon island), Pinus thunbergii community(Dacwa island, Hwanggang island, Naebi island, Yuk island), the rock area(Oebi island, Prickly castor-oil tree island, Tongin island). As the results of flora survey, the number of plant species were 30$\sim$115 species and the naturalized species were found 2$\sim$12 species in each site. The results of plant community structure analysis, The dominant species were Pinus thunbergii and Pinus densiflora were in upper tree layer, furthermore, it were Pinus thunbergii, Eurya japonica, Prunus sargentii, Celtis sinensis, Morus bombycis, ect. in cannopy tree layer. In shrub layer, the dominant species were Rosa multiflora, Rubus crataegifolius, Parthenocissus tricuspidata, etc. The status of wildbird bird, had been found 42 species 938 individuals, especially, there were Bubo bubo kiautschensis(natural monument No. 324) and Haematopus ostralegus osculans(natural monument No. 326). According to these synthetic results, we are able to classify the 5 types of environment ecology such as the natural coast forest that composed of Pinus thunbergii and Pinus densiflora(Daewa island, Hwanggang island, Naebi island, Oebi island, Tongin island, Yuk island), the field in vegetation area(Kei island), vegetation succession area of fallow field type(Hadon island), vegetation damage area by the forest fire and disturbance elements(Prickly castor-oil tree island), dominant naturalized species grassland by grazing cattle(Sangdon island).
