  • The hydrogen economy is still a niche market and a new system. If we believe in the optimism and the hope of human history of technological progress, the hydrogen economy will be a new paradigm to replace the carbon economy. The research question is what kind of leadership the government should show in order to revitalize the hydrogen economy. In response to the research question, this study highlights the governance leadership. The new economy must be newly recognized before they can find a solution. This research can be the first step in finding the way.

  • Purpose: This study empirically validates a research framework encompassing predictors hypothesized to affect the participation in sharing economy on O2O retail platforms. Research design, data, and methodology: The study examines the role of consumers' social capital and consumer citizenship as a net promoter of retail sales increase of sharing economy products. Using a convenience sampling method, this study used a questionnaire survey method to collect data from 400 adult consumers with previous experience of sharing economy who reside in the metropolitan areas of Seoul and Kyonggi Province, Korea. This study applied structural equation modeling to verify the structural relationships proposed as research hypotheses. Results: The study found a significant impact of social capital on sharing economy participation and the impact of consumer citizenship on sharing economy participation in retail settings. This study also confirmed that social identity and corporate image mediated the relationship between social capital (and citizenship) and sharing economy participation. Conclusions: The study results are expected to contribute to further understanding of the sharing economy's key success factors. The study results offer significant strategic implications for retail platform operators and individual retail operators of sharing economy.

  • Green growth is summarized as the national growth strategies to enhance the quality of life as a whole by converting not only the lifestyle but the economic and industrial structures into the low carbon and eco-friendly environments with the green growth industries with low carbon as the momentum for new growth, based on green technologies including renewable energy technologies, energy and resource efficient technologies, converging technologies related to technologies to reduce the environmental pollution. Roles of the construction industry along with other industries are very important in securing justifications for the cooperation between our government and industries for challenges to this green growth as well. The national effects of economy are very large from leading the construction industry to the green construction from the national level. Accordingly, this study suggested responsive plans for both government and companies for the activation of green construction by selecting 15 frontier green construction products and analyzing them by the type of strategy in Korea, as well as analyzing recent trends of overseas green construction.

  • This paper describes on studies of the heavy duty engine calibration for better fuel economy based on real driving conditions. Using testbed validated software simulation of the engine and turbocharger system, an alternative turbocharger specification, with potential to improve fuel economy was identified. Secondly, the engine calibration was modified to optimize vehicle fuel economy over a typical customer drive cycle whilst still meeting the steady-state (testbed) emissions legislation. These results were confirmed by field testing of a vehicle equipped with the updated specifications. This study found good agreements between the prediction and the field test on the vehicle fuel economy improvements of the express bus with updated calibration and turbocharger.

  • Purpose - Sharing economy is a promising research topic as a complementary approach for solving difficult issues resulting from market economy. Motive factors for consumer participation in sharing economy are necessary to facilitate the growth of sharing economy. This study analyzes motives for participating in sharing economy using samples from a car sharing service in South Korea. Research design, data, and methodology - Four hypotheses drawn from a new research model integrating the relationships between economic and social value, social value, and the intention to use sharing economy services were proposed. 292 valid samples were collected from Socar users in South Korea. Multiple regression analysis was employed to test the hypotheses. Results - An empirical study identified the importance of convenience and time savings as determinants of intention to use continuously a car sharing service. Cost savings and social value did not significantly influence the intention to use car sharing service. Conclusions - The present study implies that managers working in sharing economy don't have to miss a role of convenience. Although a new finding implies that convenience is an important factor influencing car sharing service, the present study has a limitation of generality that samples are mostly collected from the age range of 20 to 30 years.

  • Because of the recession of the world economy, small businesses face with many problems in securing their required labor force, capital, technology, among others. As an alternative to address those difficulties, there is a research to introduce the "sharing economy", which shares and changes resources. However SMEs have difficulties in actually introducing the sharing economy and the introduction of inter-company because sharing economy business models do not exist. This research has presented the business model for the sharing economy that is necessary in the introduction and operation of the said economy among SMEs. In order to design the business model for the B2B sharing economy, this research has drawn the components needed to design the business model through a preceding study on existing business models. Based on this and the preceding study, this research has presented the business model, which can be introduced to the sharing economy among SMEs. In addition Business model presented in this study will be a guideline for introducing shared economic conditions for each SMEs.

  • The domestic label fuel economy measurement method is the same as the North American measurement method. The results of two test modes (city [FTP-75 mode], highway [HWFET mode]) are calculated to be equivalent to the final fuel economy value calculated as the result of five test modes reflecting various environmental conditions and driving patterns 5-cycle correction formula is used. In this study, we tried to find out that the difference between the domestic label fuel economy of the vehicle and the real road fuel economy felt by the driver compared to the new vehicle condition as the mileage increases. Using domestic label fuel economy measurement method, Four gasoline vehicles and four diesel vehicles were tested for the fuel economy of a new vehicle with a mileage of 150 km or less and domestic fuel economy test $6,500{\pm}1,000km$ durability condition and 15,000 km durability. It is confirmed that the certain portion (6,500 km endurance vehicle) The increase in mileage did not affect the fuel economy or the emission gas significantly, indicating that vehicle durability was limited.

  • The consumer surplus under the open economy is greater than that under the closed economy from the viewpoint of social welfare. This indication has been proved when only the product market is considered. This article is to show how this result is changed if the R&D market as well as the product market is considered. We find the possibility that the closed economy is preferred to the open economy in case of the (international) R&D joint venture.

  • Purpose - The E-convergence economy is requested with the economic change of the diverse energy supplies, according to the exploits of Shale gas. By analyzing the electric energy supply and demand in accordance with the various cases, it has proved indirectly to create a convergence economy. Research design, data, and methodology - The research design would make realize its potential change with which government or companies have focused on the energy objection between Shale gas and Electric vehicles. Results - The paper suggests that Shale gas has expanded with the emphasis on the Electrical convergence economy or EVs. Due to these results, they also show why it should not be delayed in the development of shale gas and electric vehicles at the same time. Conclusions - All this is from the reason of opening the E-convergence economy over time. It is required that Korea should prepare E-convergence economy. Public regional energy should be present through the consistent selection of development for energy linking E-economy and E-trans distribution.

  • This research aims to examine the influence of road transportation infrastructure on the mobility of goods transport and the regional economy in Langkat Regency in Indonesia. This type of research is an associative and explanatory research whose data is obtained through a questionnaire survey. This study took a sample of 305 respondents using probability sampling in Langkat Regency, North Sumatera, Indonesia. Data analysis techniques use path analysis. The research results showed that the road transportation infrastructure variables had a significant and positive effect on the mobility of goods transport. Road transportation infrastructure and freight mobility simultaneously have a significant and positive effect on the economy of Langkat Regency. Road transportation infrastructure with the dimensions of road accessibility and maintenance partially directly has a significant and positive effect on the economy of the Langkat Regency. Road transportation infrastructure with the dimensions of road design and road construction quality partially does not have a direct effect on the regional economy, but has a positive and significant effect through the mobility of freight transport. The mobility of goods transport becomes an intervening variable that acts to mediate or determine the relationship between road transportation infrastructure variables to the regional economy.
