Focal nodular hyperplasia is a benign hepatic tumor mainly composed of nodules of hepatocytes and Kupffer cells separated by fibrous septa. In general, it is difficult to differentiate focal nodular hyperplasia and hepatocellular carcinoma on ultrasonography, conventional CT(computerized tomography), and angiography. But IV bolus CT is of particular value in the diagnosis of focal nodular hyperplasia because it can divide enhanced CT into early and late phase and can characterize tumor vascularity and analyze any intratumoral elements. In our case, it was seen as a hypoechoic mass lesion on ultrasonography and hyperdense mass lesion on early-phase IV bolus CT and isodense mass lesion on late-phase IV bolus CT. On angiography, hypertrophy of the feeding artery and tumor staining were well visualized. The patient underwent operation and the mass was pathologically confirmed to a focal nodular hyperplasia. We report the first case of focal nodular hyperplasia on IV bolus CT in Korea.

This study was to investigate the change of gait temporal parameter and ankle joint moment between patients with achilles tendinitis and healthy people. Thus, the purpose of this study is to clarify biomechanical change of gait in patients with achilles tendinitis and to find risk factor for prevention of achilles tendinitis. We recruited 20 patients with an achilles tendinitis and 20 healthy people. While subjects shuttled 5 times on 13 m distance with comfortable pace, we examined gait function marker with three-dimensional gait analysis system. All subject outstepped center of forceplate during gait and calculated ankle joint moment using software. Obtained data was analyzed using SPSS 12.0 software. In results, we confirmed that patients with achilles tendinitis showed reduction of extension moment in early initial phase and reduction of flexion moment in mid-stance on hip joint. and reduction of flexion moment in early initial phase and reduction of extension moment in late phase on knee joint. And we identified that patients with achilles tendinitis showed reduction of dorsiflexion moment in early stance phase, maximal plantarflexion moment in mid stance phase, and dorsiflexion moment in late stance phase. Thus, there are biomechanical changes on gait in patients with achilles tendinitis compared to healthy people. And, in clinical settings, they should focus on changes of gait in patients with achilles tendinitis. Further study will be undertaken for the biomechanical changes of patietns with achilles tendinitis.

The corpus luteum (CL) is composed to various cells, such as luteal steroidogenic cells (LSCs), luteal thecal steroidogenic cells (LTCs), luteal endothelial cells (LECs), fibroblast, immune cells and blood cells. The life span of CL is controlled by proliferation and apoptosis of luteal cells. Therefore, this study investigated apoptotic factors in luteal cells derived from bovine CL. The CL tissues were collected from bovine ovaries and luteal cells were isolated from middle phase CL. Then, LTCs and LECs were separated according to cellular morphology from LSCs. The expression of Bax, Bcl-2, Fas and tumor necrosis factor 1 receptor (TNF1R) mRNA and protein were analyzed using quantitative RT-PCR and western blot. Results show that, Bax and TNFR1 mRNA expression were significantly increased at late group than early and middle groups, otherwise Bcl-2 were significantly decreased at late group than early group (P<0.05). Fas mRNA expression were significantly decreased in middle group compared to early and late groups (P<0.05). In addition, Bax and Bcl-2 mRNA in LTCs was lower than LSCs, Fas mRNA was higher than LSCs. The Bcl-2 protein expression was lower at LTCs than LSCs, especially Fas protein in LTCs was significantly lower than LSCs and LECs (P<0.05). Otherwise, TNFR1 protein of LTCs were similar with LSCs but higher compared with LECs. In conclusion, we suggest that the results may help understanding of apoptosis ability in luteal cells according to cell type during CL regression of estrous cycle.
Purpose: Prognostic factors of coronary aneurysms in Kawasaki disease have been investigated in many studies. The aim of this study was to identify risk factors associated with early and late coronary artery outcomes in treated patients with Kawasaki disease. Methods: A total of 392 patients diagnosed with Kawasaki disease from January 2012 to December 2015 in Pusan National University Children's Hospital were retrospectively selected as subjects of the present study to determine risk factors for coronary aneurysms and persistence of coronary aneurysms after a 1-year follow-up. Results: Coronary aneurysms were detected in 30 of 392 patients within 1 month after the occurrence of Kawasaki disease. Coronary aneurysms persisted in 5 of 30 patients after a 1-year follow-up. A long duration of fever (adjusted odds ratio [OR], 1.47; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.06-2.02; P=0.018) and high platelet count (adjusted OR, 1.00; 95% CI, 1.00-1.01; P=0.009) were found to be independent factors to predict the development of coronary aneurysms in the early phase. Initial coronary severity (adjusted OR, 46.0; 95% CI, 2.01-1047.80; P=0.016) and a high white blood cell count (adjusted OR, 1.17; 95% CI, 1.01-1.36; P=0.028) were found to be significant factors for the persistence of late coronary aneurysms in univariate analysis. However, no significant factors were found in multivariate analysis. Conclusion: These data are from early and late follow-up of coronary aneurysms in our unit. Further studies are needed to determine the mechanisms involved in the disappearance of coronary aneurysms and related factors.

Significant decisions are made by the project team during the early planning phase of capital facility project developments. The preproject planning phase begins after a decision is made to proceed with a project concept and continues until the detail design stage. Many of the industry practitioners and researchers have recognized the importance of preproject planning and that inadequate early planning is one of the key factors affecting project success. Nevertheless, the preproject planning practices vary significantly for the construction industry in Taiwan and the quality of preproject planning relies heavily on individual project team's experience. This research sets out to benchmark the preproject planning practice for the building construction industry in Taiwan. From late 2007 to early 2010, the researchers collected information from a total of 92 building construction projects using questionnaire survey. The analysis results show that the surveyed projects with better preproject planning have better cost and schedule performances on average. It is recommended that project team spend more efforts in the preproject planning stage to have a better chance of achieving project success.

The sensitivities to photoperiod and temperature give guidance to choose an adaptable genotype for specific area in soybean production. However, there is insufficient information about the variation of sensitivities to photoperiod and temperature with wide genetic background. We investigated the sensitivities to photoperiod and temperature using 82 soybean mini core collection lines provided by NIAS gene bank of Japan. The seeds were sown on 28 May and 4 August in 2015, 24 May and 5 August in 2016 at field in Saga, Japan ($33^{\circ}$ 14' 32'' N, $130^{\circ}$ 17' 28'' E) for the early (average photoperiod and temperature: 15.2 h and $25.1^{\circ}C$) and late (13.6 h and $27.2^{\circ}C$) sowing respectively. The plants were also grown in the growth chamber under 12 h photoperiod with three temperature regimes (day/night temperature: $25/18^{\circ}C$, $28/22^{\circ}C$ and $33/28^{\circ}C$). Emergence date, days to first flower were recorded with 10 plants in the field and 2 plants in the growth chamber for each line. The data for daily average temperatures and photoperiodic hours were collected from weather station. The days from emergence to first flower open (DEF) were varied from 23-92 (2015 and 2016) in early sowing whereas 18-68 (2015) and 18-59 (2016) in late sowing. The shortened DEF in late sowing could be caused by both short photoperiod and high temperature in late sowing. However, the accumulated temperatures during emergence to first flower open (ATEF) were less variable in comparison with DEF, suggesting the ATEF is dependent mostly on the photoperiod. The ATEF were found same between early and late sowing in some early flowering lines (e.g. $686.7^{\circ}C$ and $687.6^{\circ}C$ in HEUKDAELIPS, $728.8^{\circ}C$ and $706.3^{\circ}C$ in WILLIAMS'82) which indicated that these would be insensitive to day length. In the growth chamber experiment, the variation in both DEF and ATEF was a little greater at low temperature ($25/18^{\circ}C$) but almost same at middle ($28/22^{\circ}C$) and high ($33/28^{\circ}C$) temperatures. Since the less differences in ATEF were found between the three temperatures, it is suggested that the temperature plays only a quantitative effect on the flower initiation, and the large ATEF in some lines may indicate the stronger photosensitivity even at 12 h or longer juvenile phase. Some lines with the lowest ATEF regardless of growth conditions, such as FISKEBY V, KE 32 (ATEF: 559.6-666.5, 587.7-709.5) might lack the sensitivities to both photoperiod and temperature. The results suggested that soybean genotypes has wider variation in sensitivity to photoperiod, whereas less variation to temperature.

Purpose: Susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) is a new magnetic resonance technique that can exploit the magnetic susceptibility differences of various tissues. Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) looks a dark blooming on the magnitude images of SWI. However, the pattern of ICH on phase images is not well known. The purpose of this study is to characterize hemorrhagic lesions on the phase images of SWI. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively enrolled patients with ICH, who underwent both SWI and precontrast CT, between 2012 and 2013 (n = 95). An SWI was taken, using the 3-tesla system. A phase map was generated after postprocessing. Cases with an intracranial hemorrhage were reviewed by an experienced neuroradiologist and a trainee radiologist, with 10 years and 3 years of experience, respectively. The types and stages of the hemorrhages were determined in correlation with the precontrast CT, the T1- and T2-weighted images, and the FLAIR images. The size of the hemorrhage was measured by a one- directional axis on a magnitude image of SWI. The phase values of the ICH were qualitatively evaluated: hypo-, iso-, and hyper-intensity. We summarized the imaging features of the intracranial hemorrhage on the phase map of the SWI. Results: Four types of hemorrhage are observed: subdural and epidural; subarachnoid; parenchymal hemorrhage; and microbleed. The stages of the ICH were classified into 4 groups: acute (n = 34); early subacute (n = 11); late subacute (n = 15); chronic (n = 8); stage-unknown microbleeds (n = 27). The acute and early subacute hemorrhage showed heterogeneous mixed hyper-, iso-, and hypo-signal intensity; the late subacute hemorrhage showed homogeneous hyper-intensity, and the chronic hemorrhage showed a shrunken iso-signal intensity with the hyper-signal rim. All acute subarachnoid hemorrhages showed a homogeneous hyper-signal intensity. All parenchymal hemorrhages (> 3 mm) showed a dipole artifact on the phase images; however, microbleeds of less than 3 mm showed no dipole artifact. Larger hematomas showed a heterogeneous mixture of hyper-, iso-, and hypo-signal intensities. Conclusion: The pattern of the phase value of the SWI showed difference, according to the type, stage, and size.
The present study was designed in order to observe relationship between the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi complex during spermiogenesis of the long-fingered bat (Miniopterus schreibersi fuliginosus). The testes were obtained from adult bats and treated with the prolonged osmification or fixed with ferrocyanide reduced osmiun. In the Golgi phase, The Golgi complex shows an oval shape, and was composed of a cortex and a medullar enclosing acrosome. The Golgi vacuoles with electron-dense granules of crescent shape were fused with each other. The smooth endoplasrnic reticulum was scattered in all the area of the cytoplasm. In the cap phase, The Golgi complex was crescent in shape, and faced to a nucleus. Large and small vesicles were fused with each other, and then fused with a acrosomal vacuole. The rough endoplasmic reticulum was close to the large Golgi vacuole. In the acrosome phase, The Golgi complex was moved to behind of the acrosome face. Small vesicles were fused with an acrosome, and cisternae of the trans-face of Golgi complex was connected with an acrosome in the early acrosome phase. The smooth endoplasmic reticulum was distributed in the cytoplasm. The annulate lamellar was originated from a radial body-annulate lammellae complex. In the maturation phase, The Golgi complex with dilated cistrern appeared in the cytoplasm, and also, annulate lamellar was observed in the cytoplasm. The connection of the annulate lamellar with the cistern of radial body suggests that an annulate lamellar seems to be closely related to radial body. The smooth endoplasmic reticulum was scattered in the cytoplasm in the early Golgi phase, but annulate lamellar-radial body complex which might be a residual and disappearing form of the smooth endoplasmic reticulum appeared in the acrosome phase. The Golgi complex steadily remained in the late maturation phase when the endoplasmic reticulum began to disappear from the cytoplasm: the Golgi complex was still occurred after acrosome formation. The observations obtained in the present study, which was characterized by the presence of the Golgi complex in the late maturation phase, suggests that the Golgi complex may play an important role also even after the acrosome formation.
In order to study process of spermiogenesis of the Korean manchurian field mouse, Apodemus spesiosus peninsulae, the testis obtained from sexually matured male reproductive organs, were examined with electron microscopy, and the following results were obtained based on the characters of cell differentiation. 1. According to the features of cell structure, spermiogenesis of the Apodemus spesiosus peninsulae was five phases: Golgi, cap, acrosome, maturation and spermiation phase. They were further subdivided into two steps of early and late phases respectively. Hence, the spermiogenesis consists of ten steps. 2. In the changes of the chromatin, the chromatin granules began to be condenced in the cap phase and regularizated at maturation phases, and a perfect nucleus of sperm was formed at the spermiation phases. 3. The formative period of sperm tail began to be develop in the early Golgi phase and completed at the spermiation phases 4. The outer dence fibers of middle piece were arranged in a horseshoe fashion. Nos. 1, 5, 6 and 9 of the outer dense fibers were larger than the others. The structure of axoneme in the middle piece was 9+2, and the axonemal complex consists of A and B microtubules, dynein arms and radial links.
Strain JV3 was isolated from commercial Swiss cheese products and identified as a bacteriocin producer, which has bactericidal activity against Leuconostoc mesenteroides KCCM 11324. Strain JW3 was identified tentatively as Lactococcus lactis by the API test. The activity of lacticin JW3, named tentatively as the bacteriocin produced by Lactococcus lactis JW3, was detected during the mid-log growth phase, and reached a maximum during the early stationary phase, and decreased after the late stationary phase. Its antimicrobial activity on sensitive indicator cells was completely disappeared by protease IV. The inhibitory activities of lacticin JW3 were detected during treatments of up to $121\'^{circ}C$ for 15 min. Lacticin JW3 was very stable over a pH range of 2.0 to 9.0 The apparent molecular mass of lacticin JW3 was estimated to be in the region of 3-3.5kDa, which was determined by the direct detection of bactericidal activity after SDS-PAGE.
