We investigate the non-existence of finite order transcendental entire solutions of Fermat-type differential-difference equations [f(z)f'(z)]ⁿ + P²(z)f^m(z + 𝜂) = Q(z) and [f(z)f'(z)]ⁿ + P(z)[∆_𝜂f(z)]^m = Q(z), where P(z) and Q(z) are non-zero polynomials, m and n are positive integers, and 𝜂 ∈ ℂ \ {0}. In addition, we discuss transcendental entire solutions of finite order of the following Fermat-type differential-difference equation P²(z) [f^(k)(z)]² + [αf(z + 𝜂) - 𝛽f(z)]² = e^r(z), where $P(z){\not\equiv}0$ is a polynomial, r(z) is a non-constant polynomial, α ≠ 0 and 𝛽 are constants, k is a positive integer, and 𝜂 ∈ ℂ \ {0}. Our results generalize some previous results.

In order to select the forage cowpea of high dry matter and protein yield, growth characteristics and yield performance of forage cowpea were investigated. The results obtained are as follows: Arn0r.g the five varieties tested, lT820-889 and lT83S-852 were top grass type, but IT830422 and lT84E-124 were short grass type. In stem diameter of soilage cowpea, IT83S-852 was the highest as 9.5mrn, but Swwon was the lowest as 7.8mm. In stem hardiness, lT84E-124 was the highest as 1.9kg/$cm^2$, but Seowon was the lowest as 0.8kg/$cm^2$. The palatability was high in the order of lT83S-852 > IT820-889 > Swwon, while IT820489 and IT 83S- 852 were lower than other varieties in 1990 and 1991 year. But palatability of cowpea was wholly lower than other soilage(Sudangrass hybrid and Soybean). In total dry matter yield and protein yield, lT820-889 and IT83S-852 were higher but IT830422 and lT84E- 124 were lower than other varieties. In conclusion, among the five varieties used, IT820-889 and lT83S-852 were higher as forage cowpea.

최근 철도의 고속화에 따라 철도수송의 안전성에 대한 요구는 증가되며, 기존 선로에 더 무거운 축중의 차량이 운행토록 요구되고 있다. 이러한 요구를 충족하기 위하여 기존 선로의 레일의 중량을 증가시키고, 장대레일화를 진행해왔다. 최근 개발된 H형 침목은 기존의 일자형 PC침목에 비해 저항 특성이 높아 궤도 강성 증대와 궤도틀림 저감을 기대할 수 있으나, H형 침목 부설에 따른 궤도 특성 변화에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 3차원 유한요소해석을 통하여 H형 침목이 부설된 궤도의 특성을 분석하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 KESLI 참여기관이 패키지형 전자저널을 구독하는 데 도움을 주고, 패키지형 전자저널의 선정을 위해서 반드시 고려되어야 할 평가요소를 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 기존의 관련 연구에서 나온 전자저널의 선정기준들을 문헌적으로 고찰하고, KESLI 참여기관의 구체적인 전자저널 평가요소를 출판사나 대행사에서 제시한 컨소시엄 참여 제안서와 계약 및 구독조건을 토대로 선정하고자 한다. 그 결과 전자저널 평가요소로 10개의 평가범주에 따른 34개의 세부 평가요소를 선정하였다. 이러한 평가요소는 개별 도서관이 새로운 패키지형 전자저널을 선정하거나 구독중인 전자저널 패키지의 계속구독 여부를 결정할 때 참고할 수 있는 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

The objective of this research was to determine the Vlasov soil parameters for quadratically varying elasticity modulus $E_s$(z) of the compressible soil continuum and discuss the interaction affect between two close plates. Interaction problem carried on for uniformly distributed load carrying plates. Plate region was simulated by Kirchhoff plate theory based (mixed or displacement type) 2D elements and the foundation continuum was simulated by displacement type 2D elements. At the contact region, plate and foundation elements were geometrically coupled with each other. In this study the necessary formulas for the Vlasov parameters were derived when Young's modulus of the soil continuum was varying as a quadratic function of z-coordinate through the depth of the foundation. In the examples, first the elements and the iterative FE algorithm was verified and later the results of quadratic variation of $E_s$(z) were compared with the previous examples in order to discuss the general behavior. As a final example two plates close to each other resting on elastic foundation were handled to see their interaction influences on the Vlasov foundation parameters. Original examples were solved using both mixed and displacement type plate elements in order to confirm the results.

Incretin hormones such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide delay gastric emptying, increasing satiety, and enhance insulin secretion. Two new classes of treatments related to incretin hormones for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus have emerged: GLP-1 receptor agonists (e.g., exenatide, liraglutide) and the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors (e.g., sitagliptin, saxagliptin, vildagliptin, alogliptin), which prevent the degradation of GLP-1. A MEDLINE search was conducted in order to evaluate the efficacy and safety of incretin-based therapies and publications were reviewed. Data from clinical trials indicated incretin-based treatment showed clinically significant reductions in hemoglobin A1c with low risk of hypoglycemia. Weight reductions were observed with GLP-1 receptor agonists where as DPP-4 inhibitors are weight neutral.

The effect of acetic acid formation deficiency on recombinant E. coli fermentation was investigated using a mutant strain deficient in acetic acid formation. A mutant strain which does not grow under anaerobic conditions was isolated. The acetic acid production in this strain was negligible in aerobic batch fermentation. The cloned-gene expression in the mutant strain was higher than the wild-type strain. Fed-batch fermentations with controlled specific growth rates were carried out in order to compare the cloned-gene expression between the wild-type and the mutant strains. The expression decreased along with the specific growth rate in both strains. The cloned-gene expression in the mutant strain was 60% higher than in the wild-type strain at the same specific growth rate.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of different frequency on of knee extensors muscle function during electrical muscle stimulation (EMS). Method: In this research, 40 subjects who have no musculoskeletal disorder, and less than a year workout experience were recruited in order to analyze effects of EMS with different stimulus frequency. Forty subjects were randomly divided into four groups of ten subjects in each group. A EMS training program with different frequencies (without EMS [WE], EMS with frequency 30 Hz [E30], EMS with frequency 60 Hz [E60], EMS with frequency 90 Hz [E90]) was assigned to each group. Throughout eight weeks of training, test subjects were simultaneously carried out knee extension exercises such as squat, leg extension, and leg-press while using EMS with different frequency (20 min, pulse width 250 ㎲, on-off ratio 1:1). Isokinetic knee extension strength, muscle activity of the rectus femoris (RF), the vastus medialis (VM), and the vastus lateralis (VL), and the median frequency of the RF, the VM, and the VL were collected and compared between pre and post training in order to find effects of applying EMS with different frequencies. For each dependent variable, a one-way ANOVA was to determine whether there were significant differences among four different conditions (p<.05). When a significant difference was found, post hoc analyses were performed using the contrast procedure. Results: When compared to WE and E90, E30 causes significant increase in isokinetic knee extension strength. No significant differences were found in EMG values across different EMS conditions. However, the median frequency of the VM in E30 was significantly increased than the corresponding value for WE. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that EMS training with 30 Hz frequency had positive effect on knee extensor. Based of the findings of the present study, EMS training with lower frequency may help the performer to focus on developing strength in knee extensor muscles.

In this paper, we investigate the growth of solutions and the existence of subnormal solutions for a class of higher order linear differential equations. We obtain some results which improve and extend the results of Chen-Shon [2] and Gundersen-Steinbart [5].

As the e-marketplace becomes the core of management activities, researches on motivation, transaction type, strategy, satisfaction, risk management, performance evaluation, etc. have been actively studied, but the factors influencing actual utilization have not been fully. Especially, the factors that affect the intention of the users are limited without consideration of internal environment, external environment, e-marketplace characteristics such as operating rules, characteristics of the company to be used. In order to derive the determinants of B2B e-marketplace use, this study was conducted to examine the relationship between internal environment, external environment, e-marketplace characteristics as independent variables, intention of use as dependent variable, participation qualification, The results were as follows. First, the previous study limited the determinants of intention to use to either internal or external, but this study presented an integrated model that considers both factors. Second, the characteristics of companies participating in e-marketplace were identified by using participation qualification and activity scope as control variables.
