This paper focuses on the systematic approach to handle possible resistance by the members of an organization which adopts ERP system. We also analyze various factors that affect the members' receptivity to the new system. The analytic result from the data of 169 universities shows that emotional factors such as fear and doubt play a significant role, while other factors such as relative advantages of efficiency, relative advantages of system and technology support does not. This research demonstrates both the psychological and behavioral aspects of resistance to technology, and then provides a new perspective on the adoption and diffusion of technological innovation in an organization by systematically analyzing the possible negative consequences while the majority of existing research emphasizes on the rosy prospects of the innovation.

Organizations have been implementing mobile applications that actually connect to their backend enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, SCM, etc.) in order to increase the enterprise mobility. However, most of the organizations are still struggling to fully satisfy their mobile application users with the enterprise mobility. Even though it has been regarded as the right direction that the traditional enterprise system should move on, the studies on the success model for mobile enterprise applications in user's acceptance perspective can hardly be found. Thus, this study focused not only to redefine the success of the mobile enterprise application in user's acceptance persepective, but also to find the impacts of the factors on user's usage behavior of the mobile enterprise applications. In order to achieve this, we adopted the Technology Acceptance Model 2 (TAM2) as a model to figure out the user's behavior on mobile applications. Among various mobile enterprise applications, this study chose mobile ERP since it is the most representing enterprise applications that many organizations have implemented in their backend. This study found that not all the constructs defined by Davis in TAM2 have a significant influence on user's behavior of the mobile-ERP applications. However, it is also found that most social influence processes of TAM2 influence user's perception of the degree of interaction by mobile-ERP applications.

There have been several approaches to integrating heterogeneous database systems in enterprises. Due to their inherent limitations, however, it has been difficult to apply them to actual situations in enterprises. In this paper, we propose EasyConnection, a system that is based on the flexible and extensible architecture and overcomes the limitations of the previous approaches, EasyConnection consists of Wrappers, Sharing Manager, and Clients, and the connections among these components are based on CORBA. It can also be used as the information management mechanism for such application systems as ERP, PDM, and EAI.

Under rapidly changing business surrounding, companies need information systems to keep their competitive powers and forecast business surroundings beforehand. In these trends, interests of ASP (Application Service Provider) service is increasing because of the advantage for efficiency to maintain a system and an inexpensive investment to build a system, and this service is rapidly spreading to many parts from simple functions to ERP system. In this research, we argue about these problems and about administrative framework technology for efficient ASP service of ERP system.

IT investments of hospitals are growing exponentially and various information systems such as OCS (Order Communication System), EMR (Electronic Medical Record), PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) have been implemented at a number of hospitals in Korea. We have surveyed and analyzed the current status of hospital information systems of major hospitals in Korea, and proposed an information strategy for e-Hospital implementation. Firstly, implementation status of major subsystems of HIS such as OCS, PACS, and EMR has been surveyed and types of IT personnel management have been examined. Based on the field survey result, an information strategy for e-Hospital implementation has been proposed, that can be referenced by hospitals to build their own information strategy. We expect that the study result can contribute to understanding the present status and issues of HIS and information strategy planning of hospitals.

Many organizations experience that the value they gained from IT (information technology) investment is lower than they expected prior to the actual implementation of a system - the value gap between expected value and realized value from IT. Research on the barriers to the expectation and realization is of high importance both in practice and in IS research. This study analyzed such barriers observed in three companies that have adopted such IT systems as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems each. From analyses of the three companies we specifically identified eight types of barriers: barriers related to industry, organization, knowledge, resource, usage, competence, product, and safety. Common barriers among the three cases were classified into six types, e.g. lack of strategic mind-set, improper organizational structure, lack of human resource, etc. We expect that the results help managers in IS investment to minimize the valuation gap and maximize realized values.

Rapidly changing business environment demands proactive management strategies. Display technology market in 21st century of digital economy era is not in exception. Samsung SDI is a manufacturing company which has been producing display related products. This case study investigates how Samsung SDI has been transforming itself from traditional manufacturing firm into a strong net-enabled company. There are several critical success factors to implement e-business systems. First of all, top management has been firmly supporting digital management concept. As the enabling tools, change management and knowledge management activities have been actively executed. In addition, various educational programs were provided to enhance employees' management innovation capabilities. Samsung SDI's efforts resulted in improving process efficiency as well as customer satisfaction, and finally in outstanding financial performance.

Various kind of business process exists within enterprise. These business processes achieve business purposes while operate and control using eAI solution. However legacy systems-ERP, PDM are able to many cooperations and interoperability. Generally real data is becoming interoperability using query based on store-procedure on legacy system for business process transaction. Also, It may occur some problems among schema conversion, matching, mapping and other heterogeneous between data interoperability in process. We propose business process interoperability framework based on XMDR Hub that can guarantee interoperability between legacy systems using process that is consisted of SQL query based on store-procedure. It is easy to process data interoperability between legacy systems when business process execute.

Spherical videos, which are also called 360-degree videos, have become increasingly popular due to the rapid development of virtual reality technology. However, the large amount of data in such videos is a huge challenge for existing transmission system. To use the existing encode framework, it should be converted into a 2D image plane by using a specific projection format, e.g. the equi-rectangular projection (ERP) format. The existing high-efficiency video coding standard (HEVC) can effectively compress video content, but its enormous computational complexity makes the time spent on compressing high-frame-rate and high-resolution 360-degree videos disproportionate to the benefits of compression. Focusing on the ERP format characteristics of 360-degree videos, this work develops a fast decision algorithm for predicting the coding unit depth interval and adaptive mode decision for intra prediction mode. The algorithm makes full use of the video characteristics of the ERP format by dealing with pole and equatorial areas separately. It sets different reference blocks and determination conditions according to the degree of stretching, which can reduce the coding time while ensuring the quality. Compared with the original reference software HM-16.16, the proposed algorithm can reduce time consumption by 39.3% in the all-intra configuration, and the BD-rate increases by only 0.84%.

Process mining aims at extracting useful information from system log of business process execution. As process-aware information systems, such as BPMS, ERP, and SCM, spread, researches on process mining get more significance. In this paper, we propose the methodology of clustering process log before process mining and also present the prototype system. The proposed methodology can be used in accompany with the existing process mining algorithms to improve their performance. The process log clustering system PROCLE, presented in this paper, supports to classify the process instances in the system log in order to extract the appropriate level of process model according to the users' need. The proposed methodology was implemented on the open platform for process mining, ProM.
