Preparation and Characterization of Durable Softeners for Acrylic Fiber (아크릴 섬유용 내구성 유연제의 제조 및 유연특성)

  • In order to prepare a softener, alkyl imidazoline salt, fatty carbamide salt, and fatty polyamide salt were synthesized first, and then the synthesized salts were blended. The prepared softeners were applied to acrylic fibers, and then several properties were tested. As a result, the prepared softeners show good softening and lubricating properties, and they also show a little antistatic property. Through bending resistance tests and measurements of feeling change of acrylic fibers treated with the softeners, it was proved that the prepared softeners are durable softeners.

  • To prepare a O/W type durable softner(OESA), octadecamidoethylaminoethyl dodecate and tetra (2-dodecamidoethyl) urea synthesized as the main components of softner, were blended with polyoxyethylene(20) oleyl ether, sorbitan sesquioleate, and polyoxyethylene(7) stearyl ether in various compositions. Emulsion stability of OESA was good, and mixed HLB value was 9.7, OESA was found was to be good durable softner for nylon through the examination of softness, lubriation, antistatic property, bending resistance, and color fastness.

  • To prepare a O/W type nonionic durable softner(ANSA), synthesized 1, 3-dihexadanoyl-2, 7-dioxy-6, 8-di(2-hexadecanoyloxyethyl)-1, 3, 6, 8-tetraazacyclodecane as the main component of softner, was blended with beef tallow, anhydrous lanolin, polyoxyethylene(20) oleyl ether, sorbitan sesquioleate, and polyoxyethylene(7) stearyl ether in various compositions. Emulsion stability of ANSA was good, and the mixed HLB value was 9.8. After the treatment of ANSA to all cotton fabrics, the physical properties such as tear strength, crease recovery, and flexing abrasion resistance were measured, respectively. As a result of the measurement, ANSA was proved to be durable softner with good softness.

  • The purpose of this experimental study are to produce a durable concrete and to investigate the various factors that can deteriorate the concrete when freezing and thawing activity. Among the various factors that can influence the frost resistance of concrete, this study examined mainly the relationship of the frost resistance with the water-cement ratio, admixture and admixture replacement ratio and propose the available water-cement ratio, admixture and admixture replacement ratio.

  • The textile industry has benefited from nanotechnology in various fields of application as the use of nanomaterials, and nanotechnology is multiplying. Nanoparticles can increase the performance of textiles by up to 100 times when used in finishing, coating, and dyeing techniques, providing them with capabilities they did not previously possess. Nanotechnology is used in the textile chemical industry to produce sports mats with stain resistance, flame resistance, wrinkle resistance, moisture management, antimicrobial quality, and UV protection. The incorporation of nanomaterials into fabrics can have a significant effect on their properties, including shrinkage, strength, electrical conductivity, and flammability. Various inventions and innovations may result from nano-processed textiles in the future, thus leading to the advancement of science. This article presents the construction of sports engineering structures with high resistance to improve the quality of sports training. The mechanical properties of sports mats are improved with the help of nanotechnology. Strength, elasticity, and tear resistance are among these properties. This method enables the production of elastic, durable, and tear-resistant sports mats.

  • Interaction of races of rice blast fungus and cultivars has been evaluated. Dongjinbyeo was infected by four KJ races and two KI races, while other varieties were susceptible to four to six KJ or KI races. Among the single spores reisolated from the leaf blast lesion of Dongjinbyeo after mixed inoculation of 10 races, 63% was race KJ-301 which produced a small number and small size lesions, while 30% was race KI-313 which produced a large number of lesions. However, 93% of single spores reisolated from Palgongbyeo was a highly virulent race KJ-105. On the other hand, all the races were equally reisolated from the susceptible cultivar Jinmibyeo. Frequency of races isolated from the naturally infected leaf blast lesions in the field was similar to that of reisolated races from the cultivars inoculated with 10 mixed races in the greenhouse. However, 30% of single spores isolated from the naturally infected Dongjinbyeo was race KI-329 ut ace KI-313 was not detected. Genetic relationship of the isolates collected from leaf and neck blast fungus of Jinmibyeo and Nakdongbyeo showed specific bands on RFLP-P64, However, their genetic similarity was 80%.

  • Generally, the limestone powder is known to have some advantages in rheology of fresh concrete, resistance of material separation, and enhancement of strength at early ages. Recently, great attention is being paid to limestone blended cements in the manufacture of concrete, especially in the countries of Europe. The purpose of the present study is to establish the mechanical and durable properties of concrete containing slag and limestone powder. In this paper, the chloride ion penetration test, rapid carbonation test and rapid freezing-thawing test is carried out to study durability of concrete with various content of limestone powder. Futhermore, the strength of concrete is evaluated with various ages.

Synthesis of Durable Softner for Cotton Fabrics and Its Characterization (면직물용 내구성유연제의 합성과 그의 특성화)

  • 1,3-Di(2-octadecanoyl)-2,7-dioxy-l,3,6,8-tetra aza cyclodecane [DDTC] was synthesized by reacting octadecanoic acid, 2,2'-di-aminodiethyl amine with urea. O/W type softner (STA) was prepared by blending DDTC and pentaerithritol monostearate with polyoxysthylene (20) oleyl ether, polyoxyethylene (10) castor oil, and PEG #1000-lauric acid ester. Treating STA to all cotton fabrics, the physical properties, such as tear strength, crease recovery, flexing abrasion resistance, and so on were measured. Resulting the measurements, STA was found to be durable softner with softness.
