유한요소법을 적용한 하이드로포밍 공정 해석 및 성형한계 예측 (Analysis of Hydroforming Process and Forming Limit Prediction by FEM)

  • Tubular hydroforming has attracted increased attention in the automotive industry recently. In this study, a professional finite element program for analysis and design of tube hydroforming processes has been developed, called HydroFORM-3D, which is based on a rigid-plastic model. With the developed program several hydroforming processes such as a tee extrusion, an automotive rear axle housing and lower arm are analyzed and designed. And also, the Oyane's ductile fracture integral I was calculated from the histories of stress and strain according to every element and then the forming limit of the hydroforming process could be evaluated. The pediction of the bursting failure and the plastic deformation during typical hydroforming processes shows to be reasonable so that this approach can be extended to other various tube hydroforming processes.

Experimental Investigation of Shear Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Beam Repaired with DFRCC at Cover Thickness

  • Recently, DFRCCs (Ductile Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Composites), materials with remarkable ductility when compared to ordinary fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC), have been developed and studied actively in the US, Japan, and many European countries. The transformation of failure behavior from brittle to ductile is achieved by incorporating with fracture mechanics concept especially micro-mechanical models approach of cementitious composite materials in manufacturing ordinary fiber-reinforced composites. The purpose of this study is to accurately understand the shear behavior of DFRCC repaired RC beams. Using a four-point bending test, the shear strengths and shear stress-deflection relations of DFRCC repaired RC specimens are obtained. The results show that DFRCC can be effectively used for repairing materials for concrete structures.

  • The limit drawing ratio (LDR) is a major process parameter in the process design of deep drawing. If the actual drawing ratio is greater than the LDR for a particular stage, then an intermediate stage has to be added to the process sequence to avoid failure during the ratio. In this study, the optimal process design considering forming limit is performed for the first-drawing and redrawing by using finite element method combined with ductile fracture criterion. The LDR and the site of fracture initiation are predicted by means of the fracture criterion. From the results of finite element analysis, the optimal value of drawing ratio is obtained, which contributes to the more uniform distribution of thickness and the smaller values of the ductile fracture in final cup.

  • 공용하중의 증가 등에 따른 교량 바닥판의 성능향상 시 바닥판 두께, 콘크리트 강도, 철근강도 그리고 철근비와 더불어 보강재비에 의하여 바닥판의 파괴양상은 바뀌어 질 수 있다. 일반적으로 교량 바닥판의 파괴양상은 주철근 및 배력철근의 항복 이후에 펀칭전단파괴가 발생하는 것으로 나타나고 있으며, 외부부착공법을 적용함에 있어서 이러한 파괴양상을 유지해야 될 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 바닥판에 사용된 철근비 및 보강재비 등을 주요변수로 하여 항복선 이론 및 소성 펀칭모델 등을 적용한 항복강도 및 파괴강도를 해석하였으며, 철근비에 따른 임계보강재량을 제안하였다.

Shear behaviour of RC beams retrofitted using UHPFRC panels epoxied to the sides

  • In this study, the shear behaviour of reinforced concrete (RC) beams that were retrofitted using precast panels of ultra-high performance fiber reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) is presented. The precast UHPFRC panels were glued to the side surfaces of RC beams using epoxy adhesive in two different configurations: (i) retrofitting two sides, and (ii) retrofitting three sides. Experimental tests on the adhesive bond were conducted to estimate the bond capacity between the UHPFRC and normal concrete. All the specimens were tested in shear under varying levels of shear span-to-depth ratio (a/d=1.0; 1.5). For both types of configuration, the retrofitted specimens exhibited a significant improvement in terms of stiffness, load carrying capacity and failure mode. In addition, the UHPFRC retrofitting panels glued in three-sides shifted the failure from brittle shear to a more ductile flexural failure with enhancing the shear capacity up to 70%. This was more noticeable in beams that were tested with a/d=1.5. An approach for the approximation of the failure capacity of the retrofitted RC beams was evolved using a multi-level regression of the data obtained from the experimental work. The predicted values of strength have been validated by comparing them with the available test data. In addition, a 3-D finite element model (FEM) was developed to estimate the failure load and overall behaviour of the retrofitted beams. The FEM of the retrofitted beams was conducted using the non-linear finite element software ABAQUS.

Slit형(形) 강판으로 보강(補强)한 철근콘크리트 보의 전단거동에 관한 실험연구 (An Experimental Study on the Shear Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened with Slit Type Steel Plates)

  • 기존 구조물의 RC 보는 전단내력이 부족한 경우가 빈번히 발생하며, RC 보의 전단파괴거동은 갑작스럽고 취성적이다. 자중의 증가를 줄이면서 전단성능을 향상시키는 보강방법으로 강판, 탄소 판 및 탄소섬유시트 등과 같은 보강재료를 사용하여 전단 내력이 부족한 기존 RC 보의 표면에 고성능 접착제로 부착하는 방법이 실무에서 가장 많이 적용되고 있다. 본 연구는 보강재료로 강판을 사용하며, 보강재료의 형태는 Slit의 크기와 모양으로 다양하게 변화시키고 유닛화하였다. 총16개 실험체에 대하여 전단보강근의 유무, Slit의 형상, 강판두께 등을 변수로 한 실험을 통하여 Slit형 강판으로 전단보강한 RC보에 대한 보강효과, 파괴성상 및 전단내력을 비교 분석하였다. 실험결과 파괴모드는 수직형 Slit(SV시리즈)실험체는 전단파괴를 하였고, 경사형 Slit(SD시리즈)실험체는 휨파괴 양상을 나타내었다. SV시리즈 실험체는 사인장 균열발생과 동시에 Slit 강판이 콘크리트 표면을 물고 떨어지는 부착박리 파괴거동으로 콘크리트 조기파괴를 하였다. SD시리즈 실험체들은 Solid 강판을 부착한 실험체보다 다소 큰 강성과 전단내력을 나타냈다. RC 보의 휨거동을 연성적으로 유도하기위한 전단보강방법은 경사형 Slit 강판의 적용이 효율적이었다.

소형 샤르피 충격시험편을 이용한 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V강의 천이온도 평가 (Transition Temperature Evaluation of 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V Steel Using Miniaturized Charpy Impact Specimen)

  • 소형 시험편 기술은 최소량의 재료를 사용하여 그 재료의 물리적인 거동을 특성화할 수 있기 때문에 산업설비로부터 많은 재료를 수집할 수 없는 경우에 유용한 방법이다. 본 연구에서 사용한 재료는 화력발전소 터빈로터 소재로 많이 사용되고 있는 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V강이었으며, $^630{\circ}C$에서 등온열화처리하여 5종류의 가속 열화 모사재를 만들었다. 충격시험에는 표준 시험편과 소형 시험편이 사용되었으며, 일부 소형 시험편에 소성 구속을 증가시키기 위해 측면흠을 만들어 넣었다. 표준 시험편과 소형 시험편의 충격특성을 비교하였으며 크기효과를 고찰하였고, 소형 시험편의 연성취성천이온도와 표준 시험편의 연성취성천이온도와의 상관관계를 만들었다. 따라서 소형 시험편의 충격시험결과로부터 표준 시험편의 충격특성을 추정하는 것이 가능하게 되었다.

탄소격자섬유를 이용한 RC 깊이보의 정적파괴실험 (Static loading test of R/C deep beams with CFRP-Grids)

  • Structural behavior of R/C deep beams was investigated and compared to those of specimens with CFRP Grids. Test results show that the crushing of compression strut for the unstrengthened R/C deep beams is changed to the group of several diagonal cracks at mid-depth within the sheat span. Strengthened specimens grow to be more ductile after the redistribution of internal force on the CFRP Grids. The failure mode and variations of strains in the specimens are dependent on the shear span-to-depth ratio. The lower the shear span-to-depth ratio, the bigger failure load and the less variations in strain are observed. Additional anchorage of CFRP Grids does not only cause the improvement in the internal resistance, but also control the brittle shear failure of specimen after reaching the maximum loads.

온도조건이 교면방수시스템의 인장접착특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Temperature Conditions on the Tensile Adhesive Characteristic of the Bridge Decks Waterproofing Systems)

  • In this study, tensile adhesive strength(TAS) test was carreid out for evaluated the effects of temperature conditions(-20, -10, 5, 20, 30, $40^{\circ}C$) on the tensile adhesive characteristics about six waterproofing membranes which were commercially used in bridge decks. And, failure appeariences of waterproofing systems in each temperature were investigated and observed the sawing surfaces of waterproofing systems for whether or not damaged of waterproofing membranes. TAS test results were increased when test temperature was decrease in all waterproofing membrane. The type of failure was ductile in $30^{\circ}C$ and $40^{\circ}C$, but brittle failure below $20^{\circ}C$. This results were shown that if temperature above $30^{\circ}C$ is continued for a long time, waterproofing material will be damaged by softening and a part of membranes were damaged by hot aggregate in SMA. So we will consider the type of asphalt for choice of the waterproofing membranes.

단부에 설비덕트를 포함하는 새로운 더블티 전단실험 (Shear Test on New Modified Double Tee Slabs including Service Ducts at the Ends)

  • The increasement in the floor hight may be one of the most significant problem in the use of precast concrete double slab in the multi-story buildings. The modified double-tees including duct space at the ends of slab were considered in this study. The length and thickness of nib of modified double tee was increased to receive the uniform reaction from rectangular beam, while the original PCI dapped one to receive the point load from inverted tee beam to the leg of double tee. Shear tests were performed on the ends of the modified double tees which were designed by strut-tie model. The modified double tees generally show more ductile flexural failure in the long thickened nib. It is concluded that they show superior failure patterns than that of original dapped one with shear failure.
