QUATERNIONS AND HOMOTHETIC MOTIONS IN EUCLIDEAN AND LORENTZIAN SPACES

  • In the present paper, we investigate homothetic motions determined by quaternions, which is a general form of our previous paper [20]. We introduce a transition between homothetic motions in 3D and 4D Euclidean and Lorentzian spaces. In other words, we give a new method that works as a handy tool for obtaining Lorentzian homothetic motions from Euclidean homothetic motions. Moreover, some remarkable properties of homothetic motions, which are given in former studies on this subject, are also examined by dual transformations. Then, we present applications and visualize them with 3D-plots. Finally, we investigate homothetic motions in dual spaces because of the importance in many fields related to kinematics.

ON OPTIMALITY OF GENERALIZED OPTIMIZATION PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH OPERATOR AND EXISTENCE OF (Tη; ξθ)-INVEX FUNCTIONS

  • The main purpose of this paper is to introduce a pair new class of primal and dual problem associated with an operator. We prove the sufficient optimality theorem, weak duality theorem and strong duality theorem for these problems. The equivalence between the generalized optimization problems and the generalized variational inequality problems is studied in ordered topological vector space modeled in Hilbert spaces. We introduce the concept of partial differential associated (PDA)-operator, PDA-vector function and PDA-antisymmetric function to show the existence of a new class of function called, ($T_{\eta};{\xi}_{\theta}$)-invex functions. We discuss first and second kind of ($T_{\eta};{\xi}_{\theta}$)-invex functions and establish their existence theorems in ordered topological vector spaces.

  • Let H be a Hilbert space, X be a real Banach space, A : H \longrightarrow X be an operator with D(A) dense in H, G: H \longrightarrow H be positive definite, $\chi$ $\in$ D(A) and b $\in$ H. Consider the quadratic programming problem: QP: Minimize $\frac{1}{2}$〈p, $\chi$〉 + 〈$\chi$, G$\chi$〉 subject to A$\chi$= b In this paper, we obtain an explicit solution to the above problem using generalized inverses.

G-vector-valued Sequence Space Frames

  • G-vector-valued sequence space frames and g-Banach frames for Banach spaces are introduced and studied in this paper. Also, the concepts of duality mapping and ${\beta}$-dual of a BK-space are used to define frame mapping and synthesis operator of these frames, respectively. Finally, some results regarding the existence of g-vector-valued sequence space frames and g-Banach frames are obtained. In particular, it is proved that if X is a separable Banach space and Y is a Banach space with a Schauder basis, then there exist a Y-valued sequence space $Y_v$ and a g-Banach frame for X with respect to Y and $Y_v$.

  • Let 1 ≤ p, q < ∞ be fixed, and let R = [rjk] be an infinite scalar matrix such that 1 ≤ rjk < ∞ and supj,k rjk < ∞. Let 𝓑(𝑙p, 𝑙q) be the set of all bounded linear operator from 𝑙p into 𝑙q. For a fixed Banach algebra 𝐁 with identity, we define a new vector space SRp,q(𝐁) of infinite matrices over 𝐁 and a paranorm G on SRp,q(𝐁) as follows: let $$S^R_{p,q}({\mathbf{B}})=\{A:A^{[R]}{\in}{\mathcal{B}}(l_p,l_q)\}$$ and $G(A)={\parallel}A^{[R]}{\parallel}^{\frac{1}{M}}_{p,q}$, where $A^{[R]}=[{\parallel}a_{jk}{\parallel}^{r_{jk}}]$ and M = max{1, supj,k rjk}. The existance of SRp,q(𝐁) equipped with the paranorm G(·) including its completeness are studied. We also provide characterizations of β -dual of the paranormed space.

SEQUENCES IN THE RANGE OF A VECTOR MEASURE

  • We prove that every strong null sequence in a Banach space X lies inside the range of a vector measure of bounded variation if and only if the condition $\mathcal{N}_1(X,{\ell}_1)={\Pi}_1(X,{\ell}_1)$ holds. We also prove that for $1{\leq}p&lt;{\infty}$ every strong ${\ell}_p$ sequence in a Banach space X lies inside the range of an X-valued measure of bounded variation if and only if the identity operator of the dual Banach space $X^*$ is ($p^{\prime}$,1)-summing, where $p^{\prime}$ is the conjugate exponent of $p$. Finally we prove that a Banach space X has the property that any sequence lying in the range of an X-valued measure actually lies in the range of a vector measure of bounded variation if and only if the condition ${\Pi}_1(X,{\ell}_1)={\Pi}_2(X,{\ell}_1)$ holds.

  • Suppose that X is a Banach space with continuous dual $X^{**}$, ($\Omega$, $\Sigma$, ${\mu}$) is a finite measure space. f : $\Omega\;{\longrightarrow}$ $X^{*}$ is a weakly measurable function such that $\chi$$^{**}$ f $\in$ $L_1$(${\mu}$) for each $\chi$$^{**}$ $\in$ $X^{**}$ and $T_{f}$ : $X^{**}$ \longrightarrow $L_1$(${\mu}$) is the operator defined by $T_{f}$($\chi$$^{**}$) = $\chi$$^{**}$f.   • Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) is commonly used in manufacturing plant, warehouse, distribution center, and terminal. AGV is self-driven vehicle used to transport material between workstations in the shop floor without the help of an operator, and AGV includes a material transfer system located on the top and driving system at the bottom to move the vehicle as desired. For navigation, AGV mostly uses lane paths, signal paths or signal beacons. Various predominant sensors are also used in the AGV. However, in the conventional AGV, there is a problem of not turning or damaging nearby objects or AGV in a narrow space. In this paper, a new driving system is proposed to move the vehicle in a narrow space. In the proposed driving system, two sets of the combined steering-drive unit are adopted to solve the above problem. A prototype of AGV with the new driving system is developed for the comparative analysis with the conventional AGV. In addition, the experimental result shows the improved performance of the new driving system in the maximum speed, braking distance and positioning precision tests.
