Objectives : Since the program about sodium lauryl sulfate that might cause oral dryness and taste change including oral tissue allergy was on the air, the ingredients of D.I.Y dentifrices without sodium lauryl sulfate have been sold in online shopping mall and ordinary people can make the dentifrices easily. But there have not been any reports about the effect of dental plaque removal and preference about D.I.Y dentifrices. Therefore, this study was designed as a pilot study which aimed to investigate the effect of dental plaque removal and prefernece about D.I.Y dentifrices. Methods : 6 subjects were collected to test the effect of dental plaque removal with D.I.Y dentifrices with written consent. They didn't brushed the teeth during 12 hours until the check-up time on the next day. The O'leary index was calculated in baseline, 1 minute, 2 minute, 3 minute after brusing with D.I.Y dentifrices and market dentifrices. The preference about D.I.Y dentifrices through self-administered questionnaire was surveyed in 51 subjects after using D.I.Y dentifrices. Results : 1. The market dentifrices could remove larger amount of dental plaque than D.I.Y dentifrices, but, it wasn't significant. 2. In feeling refreshment, the market dentifrices had more positive answers significantly. 3. In feeling taste change, the market dentifries had more duration of taste change significantly. 4. In feeling oral dryness, the market dentifrices had more duration of oral dryness after toothbrushing. but, it wasn't significant. 5. As a result about reviewing the dental journals about ingredients of D.I.Y dentirices, green tea, sodium carbonate, bamboo salt, propolis had each evidence. But, We could not find out the evidences of calculus adhesion by corn starch, preservative by napri, disinfectant of peppermint. Conclusions : Although we cannot find the difference of the effect of dental plaque removal between D.I.Y dentifrices and market dentifrices, and D.I.Y dentifrices have the merits of decrease of oral dryness and taste change, it was suggested to have another test about stability and safety of D.I.Y dentifrices for safety of the user of D.I.Y dentifrices.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the associated factors of self-reported dry mouth in adults. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 249 adults in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do from June to October, 2014. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects, age, monthly income, smoking, alcohol drinking, and systemic diseases including systemic diseases, medication, oral health status, and stress. The question for dry mouth consisted of dryness in skin, eyes, lips, and nasal mucosa. The subjective dry mouth consisted of 6 questions measured by visual analogue scale(VAS). Cronbach's alpha was 0.881 in the study. Oral health related quality of life (OHIP-14) was adapted from Yoon. The questionnaire for OHIP-14 included functional limitation, physical pain, psychological disability, social disability, and experience in hadicap measured by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha was 0.885 in the study. Data was analyzed for a t-test, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis by using SPSS(SPSS 18.0, USA) program. Results: There were positive correlations between oral health-related quality of life and self-reported dry mouth (functional limitation r=0.288, physical pain r=0.219, psychological discomfort r=0.193, physical disability r=0.280, psychological disability r=0.205, social disability r=0.224 and handicap r=0.270). In the multiple regression analysis, variation of self-reported dry mouth were positively associated with dry eyes{very often(${\beta}=0.305$)), sometimes(${\beta}=0.186$)}, dryness on lips{very often(${\beta}=0.247$), sometimes(${\beta}=0.177$)}, handicap(${\beta}=0.152$), physical disability(${\beta}=0.128$) and alcohol drinking(1-2 times/week)(${\beta}=0.116$) (p<0.001). Conclusions: Self-reported dry mouth may cause deterioration of the entire body dryness(dryness on eyes and lips), low oral health-related quality of life(handicap and physical disability) and alcohol drinking. Thus, It is necessary to develop oral health education programs to prevent and manage dry mouth in adults.
이에 본 연구에서는 1.5km 격자의 LDAPS(Local Analysis and Prediction System) 기상자료 및 1km 격자의 MODIS(Moderate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) 위성자료를 활용하여 각종 산불위험지수와 지면건조지수의 우리나라 산불발생에 대한 민감도분석을 수행하고자 한다. 기상기반 산불위험지수로는 호주의 FFDI(forest fire danger index), 캐나다의 FFMC(fine fuel moisture code), 미국의 HI(Haines index), 그리고 학술연구에서 제시된 MNI(modified Nesterov index)를 산출하였고, 위성기반 지면건조지수인 NDDI(normalized difference drought index)와 TVDI(temperature vegetation dryness index)를 산출하여 우리나라 산불발생에 대한 적용가능성 실험을 수행하였다.
The effects of fines contents in OCC stock on the wet pressing process were evaluated in this study. The fines were collected from the beaten OCC stock by using 200 mesh. The dryness of handsheet samples after the couch and after the 1st wet press were greatly affected by the fine contents of the OCC stock. The higher contents of fines resulted in the lower value in dryness but the higher value of density followed by the higher strength properties. The addition of the retention aids and the drainage aids on the OCC stocks showed the wet pressing efficiency were greatly affected by the fine contents rather than the addition of polymer additives. The increase in the fine retention by the polymer additives offset the improvement in the wet pressing efficiency originated from the polymer additives.
This paper was analyzed the resistivity change characteristic of mortar model block and concrete that was made earth electrode that's used concrete or basic concrete of building for 1 year. The early resistivity measurement value of concrete model block is higher than mortar model block. But after 1 year the resistivity measurement value of mortar model block is significantly higher than concrete model block. Because depends on time elapsed complete dryness factor of mortar model block that has not gravel is higher than concrete model block. And absorptance and function of mortar mode block was by far outstanding than concrete model block in the data for verification of the amount of contained water and the amount of dryness of mortar model block and concrete model block.
Drainage phenomena on the conventional fourdrinier table can be divided into two distinct zones based on the drainage mechanisms involved. In the forming zone, natural drainage is the principal water removal mechanism, while in the vacuum zone vacuum dewatering displaces water in the wet sheet with air. In this study to investigate the influence of polyelectrolyte addition on natural and vacuum dewatering a vacuum drainage tester was developed and used. Addition of PAM decreased the dryness of the wet sheet after vacuum dewatering since substantial reduction in vacuum level occurred due to flocculation of fibers. Addition of PAM, however, increased the wet web dryness when the fines content of the stock is greater than 35% indicating the presence of fines reduced the air permeability of the wet web to increase its response to vacuum dewatering. On the other hand, PEI, which flocculates the fibers and fines via patch formation, showed little impact on the drainage characteristics of the stocks.
This paper is purpose to understand the insulation properties of the high voltage motor stator winding according to the different dryness conditions. we carried out the three times insulation diagnosis test for the same motor stator winding. the first test object is the contaminated winding, second is the washed-out, and natural dried during the 24 hours, and the last is the heating dried in 110$^{\circ}C$ during the 48 hours. the insulation diagnosis tests are consist of the megger, the polarization index, the AC current test, the dissipation factor test and the partial discharge test, we analyzed and made a comparison of the three cases test result.
The condensation water temperature $(T_{CW})$ distributions on the combi-drum washer of condensation type which the cloth washes, rinses, spins and dry cloth over a heater were measured using the thermocouples. During the drying process, in order to find out the relationship between the $T_{CW}$ distribution and the cloth dryness level $(C_{D1})$, the experiment was made for the dehydration rate of the cloth $(C_{D0})$ is 63%, the weight of cloth $(W_{C0})$ from 1 to 6kg. In result, according to $W_{C0}$ and $C_{D0}$, the distributions of $T_{CW}$ are very different. Using this tendency, it was appropriate and it developed the automatic drying algorithm and it was gotten dryness level regardless of $W_{C0}$, $C_{D0}$ and the other factor.
