화학폐수슬러지와 무연탄을 이용한 복합건조공정의 조사시간에 따른 고형연료의 특성 평가 (Characteristic Evaluation of RDF for the Combined Drying Produced by Weight Mixing Ratio Use Chemical Wastewater Sludge and Anthracite Coal)

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate the microwave drying characteristics of mixtures of chemical wastewater sludge (70~90%) and anthracite coal (10~30%) with respect to physical and economic factors such as mass, volume reduction, moisture content, drying rate and heating value when the wastes were dried at different weight mixing ratio and for different microwave irradiation time. The drying process were carried out in a microwave oven, the combined drying process with a 2,450 MHz frequency and 1 kW of power. Maximum dry rates per unit area on the microwave drying of mixtures with chemical wastewater sludge and anthracite coal were $35.5kg\;H_2O/m^2{\cdot}hr$ for Cs90-Ac10; $40.1kg\;H_2O/m^2{\cdot}hr$ for Cs80-Ac20 and $35.0kg\;H_2O/m^2{\cdot}hr$ for Cs70-Ac30. The result clearly indicated that moisture can be effectively and inexpensively removed from the wastes through use of the microwave drying process.

  • This study is intended to investigate application of mica waste(MS) to fine aggregate for mortar by comparing it with cement mortar in which crushed sand(CS) and river sand(NS) are used. According to the results, as the physical properties of aggregate, specific gravity is large in order of MS, NS and CS, absorption ratio in order of MS, CS and NS, and unit weight and solid volume percentage in order of NS, CS and MS. In the case of MS mortar, mechanical properties, drying shrinkage and heat conduction ratio are reduced, but the radiative amount of infrared light is excellent compared with NS mortar. Fluidity and unit weight of MS mortar is larger than those of CS mortar, and strength does not make differences. Length change by drying shrinkage is larger, but heat conduction ratio and radiative amount of infrared light are smaller than CS mortar. Thus, it proves that MS can be used in place of NS and CS, but its quality is deteriorated slightly.

세탁과 건조에 따른 양모 위편성물의 편성조직별 형태 변화 (The effects of knit stitches on the knit construction and the dimensional stability to washing and drying of wool weft-knitted fabrics)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural properties of 100% wool fabrics knitted with various stitch types and to evaluate dimensional stability from shrinkage in wet cleaning and drying. Materials were weft-knitted from twenty-four different stitches with 7 gauge using a computerized flatbed knitting machine. Weight, thickness, density, and length were measured. A domestic washing machine and a tumble dryer were used for the shrinkage test. The results are as follows: Knitted fabrics were divided into 3 groups based on weight per unit area. Porous knits show light weight whilst milano, pintuck, rib stitches belong to the heaviest group. A positive correlation between weight and thickness was found and the same result was obtained for wale density and weight. Dimensional shrinkage of knitted fabrics was increased during repetitive wet cleaning and drying regardless of knit stitches. Especially, fabrics knitted with float, tuck, cable, and links & links stitches samples were contracted more than 15% in the first treatment whereas 2x1 rib stitch showed 1% shrinkage rate. Fisherman and milano stitches contracted in both course and wale direction with similar shrinkage rates. However, porous knits with float and tuck stitches shrank in course direction by 20% as well as cable samples contracted from 5% to 20% after repeated washing and drying. On the other hand, 30% and 15% contraction of wale direction occurred in orderly float and links & links stitches, respectively. Machine dried knits have a higher shrinkage rate than air-dried knits, but the drying method did not affect to the direction of contraction. In conclusion, variations of knit, tuck, and float stitches affect knit construction and dimensional stability from shrinkage in wet cleaning and drying of wool knitted fabrics.

온실을 이용한 홍고추의 건조 (Red Pepper Drying with Solar Energy in Greenhouse)

  • This study was initially performed to investigate current red-pepper drying methods commonly being adopted on red-pepper cultivation farm area. Based on the informations obtained from the field survey, an experiment of red-pepper drying was carried out to verify the actual drying potential of plastic covered solar house similar to the conventional pipe frame greenhouses covered with one or two layer of plastic film. Some results obtained from field survey and drying experiment for red-pepper are summarized as follows; 1. Various patterns of red-pepper drying process were found; 1) complete natural drying with red-pepper exposed in outdoor air, 2) hot air drying by dry chamber only, 3) combination drying by hot air dryer together with plastic covered passive solar house, 4) drying with plastic covered solar house unit. 2. The average air temperatures of outdoor and solar house during drying experiment period were $26.9-30.8\;and\;28.6-33.8^{\circ}C$, respectively, and the maximum air temperatures of those two were $34.2-36.4\;and\;39.8\;-52.3^{\circ}C$, respectively. Horizontal solar intensity during experiment period was $18.49-23.96\;MJ/m^{2}$, and relative humidity of outdoor and experimental solar house were 56 - 66% and 64 - 70%, respectively. 3. The weight of red-pepper during drying experiment period was decreased almost linearly from initial moisture content of 85% to final moisture content of 14%.

Flat TDR 시스템을 이용한 모래의 함수비와 건조단위중량 분석 (Analysis of Sand Water Ratio and Drying Unit Weight Using Flat TDR System)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 전통적인 다짐관리방법의 문제점을 보완하고자 TDR(Time Domain Reflectometry)을 이용하여 지반의 함수비와 건조단위중량을 측정하는 연구를 수행하였다. Flat TDR 시스템은 지반의 교란을 일으키기 않는 장비로써 측정값을 검증하기 위하여 주문진표준사 외 7개소의 현장대상 지반의 시료에 대하여 건조밀도와 함수비를 측정하였다. 함수비구간은 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18%의 6개 구간으로 나누어 측정을 하였으며 실험결과는 통일분류법에 따라 확인하였다. 실내실험 결과, 함수비는 SP시료의 경우 약 0.7%, SM시료의 경우 약 1.3%의 오차를 보였다. 또한 건조단위중량은 SP시료의 경우 약 7%, SM시료의 경우 약 5%의 오차를 확인하였다. 이는 점토나 자갈을 제외한 모래 또는 실트질 모래 지반에서는 안정적인 값을 도출함을 확인할 수 있었다. 실험 결과를 통하여 Flat TDR 시스템의 측정값이 기존의 전통적인 다짐관리방법과 유사한 값을 도출하는 것을 확인할 수 있었고 이는 빠른 시공성과 경제성을 필요로하는 건설현장에서 Flat TDR 장비가 적합하다는 것을 판단할 수 있었다.

황등화강암 시편의 크기에 따른 건조무게와 특이점 분석 (Analysis of the Influence of Sample Size on the Dry Weight and Singularity Weight of Hwangdeung Granite Rock Samples)

  • 우리나라의 한국산업표준(KS F)에는 105 ± 5℃로 노건조된 암석을 대기중에 꺼내어 저울에 무게를 측정하도록 하고 있다. 그러나 건조로 외부의 대기에 노출된 암석에서는 대기중의 수분을 흡수하여 무게가 증가하는 문제가 발생된다. 본 연구에서는 정육면체 모양으로 가공된 크기가 다른 8개의 황등화강암 시편을 사용하여 측정 방법에 따른 건조무게를 측정하고 비교 분석하였다. 대기중에서 측정된 특이점의 건조무게는 건조로 속에서 측정된 건조무게에 비하여 더 작게 나타났다. 건조 방법에 따른 건조무게의 차이는 암석의 크기와 양(+)의 상관관계를 나타내었고, 암석의 단위무게당 건조무게 차이는 암석의 크기가 클수록 오히려 작아지는 음(-)의 상관관계를 나타내었다. 대기중 노출된 암석의 무게는 가열된 암석 주위에서 발생되는 대류의 영향과 대기중 수분 흡수로 인한 영향의 크기에 따라 결정되며, 특이점은 두가지 영향의 크기가 같을 때 발생된다. 암석의 크기가 클수록 특이점 발생까지의 시간이 더 오래 걸리고 무게의 감소량도 증가되었다. 또한, 수분 흡수에 의한 초기 측정 무게까지 회복되는 시간도 더 오래 걸렸다. 향후, 특이점의 무게와 건조로 내부에서 측정된 건조 무게에 관한 연구를 통하여 현재 한국산업표준(KS F) 시험규정의 한계점을 보완할 수 있을 것이다.

  • This study is intended to investigate the properties of expansion of concrete under various curing environment with expansive additives. In construction field, expansive additives, which are anaiable to prevent from the diverse cracks caused by drying shrinkage are not expected to accomplish the expantion we expected because of both the absence of the know ledge change, loss of weight and dynamic of elasticty under various unit contents of expansive additives and curing condtion.

  • This paper investigated the engineering properties of cement mortar mixed with more than 2 kinds of sand. For fresh mortar properties, unit volume weight is constant regardless of mixing content and type of sand. An increase in contents of river and crushed sand resulted in an increase in flow, whereas an increase in recycled sand contents reduced flow. Gap between maximum flow in N3C0R0 and minimum flow in N0C0R3 exhibited about $12\%$. Compressive strength at 28 days ranged from 32 to 36 MPa in order for crushed sand, river sand and recycled sand. Mortar with mixed sand along with river sand and crushed sand showed compressive strength comparable to crushed sand. An increase of fraction of recycled sand in mixed sand resulted in a decrease in compressive strength. For drying shrinkage, N0C0R3 had the largest drying shrinkage among various mixture type. The combination of large contents of recycled sand and small contents of river and crushed sand had a large amount of drying shrinkage.

한국산 고추의 품종 및 재배지역에 따른 품질 특성 (Quality Attributes of Korean Red Pepper According to Cultivars and Growing Areas)

  • 품종과 재배 지역을 달리한 한국산 고추(Capsicum annuum L.)에서 매운 맛 성분, 붉은 색, 크기, 무게가 어떠한 가를 규명하였다. 품종에 따른 건고추의 길이는 $7.0{\sim}9.4\;cm$, 자실체의 무게는 $1.22{\sim}3.09g$, capsaicin 함량은 $11.5{\sim}45.0\;mg%$, dihydrocapsaicin 함량은 $8.5{\sim}35.1\;mg%$, 붉은 색은 $6,270{\sim}7,920$ conventional color unit으로 나타났다. 매운 맛 성분과 붉은 색은 7개 품종간에 유의적 차이를 보였으나 두 성분간에는 상관관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 고추 3개 품종의 매운 맛 성분과 붉은 색은 5개 지역간에 유의적 차이를 보였다. 태양건조와 열풍건조를 시킨 경우 매운 맛 성분의 함량에서는 차이가 없었으나 붉은 색에서는 차이를 나타내었다.

Combined effect of lightweight fine aggregate and micro rubber ash on the properties of cement mortar

  • Exterior walls in buildings are exposed to various forms of thermal loads, which depend on the positions of walls. Therefore, one of the efficient methods for improving the energy competence of buildings is improving the thermal properties of insulation plaster mortar. In this study, lightweight fine aggregate (LWFA) and micro rubber ash (MRA) from recycled tires were used as partial replacements for sand. The flow ability, unit weight, compressive strength, tensile strength, thermal conductivity (K-value), drying shrinkage and microstructure scan of lightweight rubberized mortar (LWRM) were investigated. Ten mixtures of LWRM were prepared as follows: traditional cement mortar (control mixture); three mixes with different percentages of LWFA (25%, 50% and 75%); three mixes with different percentages of MRA (2.5%, 5% and 7.5%); and three mixes consisting both types with determined ratios (25% LWFA+5% MRA, 50% LWFA+5% MRA and 75% LWFA+5% MRA). The flow ability of the mortars was 22±2 cm, and LWRM contained LWFA and MRA. The compressive and tensile strength decreased by approximately 64% and 57%, respectively, when 75% LWFA was used compared with those when the control mix was used. The compressive and tensile strength decreased when 5% MRA was used. By contrast, mixes with determined ratios of LWFA and MRA affected reduced unit weight, K-value and dry shrinkage.
